Thanks for this reaction, IU does not generally sings in English, she inserts it as part of many songs, when in tour sometimes she sings her songs in other languages, I heard her in Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin (in Taiwan) and Thai (apart from Korean of course). She has made some Eng covers too. She's working on a world tour now, when in the US I'm sure she'll take at least one of her songs to sing in English. IU is smart versatile and incredibly talented, she has composed most of her songs(around 80 self composed) and her total discography is around 150. Until last year she were very comfortable singing live only in Asia. You can argue she does not need anymore than that, now include the success as an actress, she's very wealthy and very well known, also very generous (I could go an hour in this alone). She had it rough growing up and even when she got to the top she still dealt with very close friends taking their own life. IU is a phenomenon and even when she has not really tried hard, she has over 2 billion views in YT of her songs alone, not for reactions, news shows etc, stream? 2.6 billion on spotify while in asian streaming services has been insane even when considering an over 2 year pause in releasing songs.
