greatest german rockband of all time imo. stil going strong! was abot 8/9 when we reunited in 90 and the people tore the wall down a year before. I don't remember me being very much aware, what a monumental moment in history it was. But the song was everywhere. Look who we are now. The 90s were such a hopeful era :(
The wind of change really expressed the feeling of hope for a world in peace very well. For me as a German it`s so much connected with the fall of the Berlin wall and the following reunity of Germany. We in Germany don`t have a lot to be proud of, because of the time of Nazi-Germany. But when I am proud of something it is this: This was the only unbloody revolution of history. Nobody had to die! It was a peaceful revolution and still successful. And I share your feelings, it`s so sad that this level of peace that we had reached is broken and gone away. Where is hope and optimism now? We need to get it back. We need peace.
The very first time I heard this was while watching a Filipino cover band in Singapore. They nailed it, (including the whistle) I had been at sea so didn't get to hear it before that.
I LOVE the Scorpions.
I rock with them, but this my favorite song.

Scorpions, Philippines one of the most favourite 80’s band. I was born to this band. I am lucky to see them at 02 Arena in 2018 and hopefully will see them again this June. Theyre bloody amazing live even at the age of 70, Klaus is still rocking and sounding like 40 years ago. Legend!!
