Geek & Gorgeous all the way, for me! They might have a much smaller selection of products but all of them are pleasant to use. Can't say that about TO, they have quite a few misses.

I remember when The Ordinary launched, and there was great confusion, "How in the world do I choose what I need and how do I layer them?" As a skincare "geek," I immediately started reading everything I could get my hands on about skincare ingredients. My friends were saying, "This is too complicated for me, I want to buy a few products, slap them on and go." This is where G & G came in a answered all those questions! They found the niche that was needed, and are SO brilliant for doing so. I credit TO for starting the lower priced trend, but give G&G the gold star for making skincare simpler but still affordable! However, for my sensitive skin, I need single actives so I can control exactly was goes on my skin. However, if MAS skincare wasn't in my future, I would be trying some out G&G! Rob, you are genius for coming up with such fantastic content!❤️

Thanks to you Rob and the Mad About Skin fam, I’m a few weeks’ into g&g and I am mad about all their stuff - just brilliant. Reasonably priced, and super shipping only four days to get to me here in Oz. TO is fine, I’ve just never ever seen any results with any of their products. 🖤🖤
TO for me. I love that they just deliver those singular ingredients since thats how my body as shown it likes. Mixing to many ingredients makes me have reactions, mainly acne, so TO gives me that ease of mind to be able to implement only what I know my body loves and works with no added stuff on top. Simple and straight foward (yes you need some learnign first) but is just what I love and need.
Great video. Thanks a million Rob. I'm definitely a Ordinary fan girl - they say you never forget your first. I started my skincare regime with them and even though I've branched out to other brands for some things, I still buy most of my skincare from The Ordinary, Hylamide (love the subq) or Niod (FECC is my love for the eyes). The caffeine serum is great for dark circles as well as puffiness etc. Big hugs from Ireland
I think The Ordinary should be compared to Good Molecules. They're similar and I have products from both brands as my holy grail items in my skincare routine. Absolutely love Good Molecules and I personally think they're better than The Ordinary. I have yet to try Geek and Gorgeous but I'll definitely check them out. I want to love Geek and Gorgeous, but I have to say that their product line isn’t extensive enough for me to warrant buying from them right now. I already have my holy grail face theory toners, my holy grail Deciem serums, and my adapalene. By the time I’m going to search for more products, MAS will be out and I will be fan girling over your products!
I am hoping MAS cleanser will be my Holy Grail. I couldn't find one that I like and I decided not to try anything new after I heard Rob is launching a cleanser 😅😅😅
I agree with you. Everyone goes crazy for their A Game. I’m sure it’s great but I already use tretinoin, so don’t need that. I use prescription Azelaic acid, so don’t need the Apad either. Works out for us! We can wait for MAS instead 😄

Thanks for the video! I actually purchased G&G based on your original review and after a few months of using their products My daughter and I really love them. Also agree with your comparisons to TO!! As for The Ordinary’s SPF - the white cast is no worse than any other mineral SPF with a high percentage of Zinc. I also find that the white cast fades a lot after it absorbs in. It also feels great and is very protective for the dry Canadian winters I experience here. I feel the TO SPF is quite under rated and is not being compared to products with the same amount of zinc. Also -the price is under $9 compared to $30 + (CAD).

The ordinary products are a great option when I want to experiment with new actives at a low cost. However, once I figured the right kind of activities and percentages for skin, I need a custom multi-active serum, ideally developed to my specifications. When that's not possible, I would go with multi-active products from a brand like G&G.

I wanted to ask you if you find the Ordinary squalane cleanser as a good first cleanser in a double-cleanse routine? Could it even double as both? Hi Rob I use a mix of both tbh, but for holy grails the Geek and gorgeous wins hands down - their Apad and Agame are both products I repurchase over and over again. I like the squalane cleanser and nmf from the ordinary, but they're not must haves for me. If I want to try a new ingredient (new to me) I often turn to the ordinary - the price is right and they have a large range of serums not every brand has. If my skin tolerates the ingredient I often move onto a more elegant formulation, but appreciate being able to try it for a low price. There is not one product from the ordinary I absolutely must have in my routine, although I dip in and out at times from the range. That's the difference and why G&G is also the winner for me. I have hypersensitive skin with both rosacea and eczema, plus my skin is very dry. The HA base of most of the ordinary serums is the main issue I have with the products, as my skin doesn't tolerate a high amount of HA - the lack of humidity in Scotland means I get a lot of rebound dehydration. I therefore can't really layer their serums, which is the way they're designed to be used. I too am surprised G&G don't have a moisturiser or the ordinary don't do a hydrating toner of some description - both are gaps in their range. I'm not really overly brand loyal to any brand - I buy the best formulation I can find for a decent price from a variety of brands. I think the days of just using one brand is done for many people and we should benefit from the choice available to us. I'll always respect Deciem for the influence they have had on the skincare market, as the ordinary was totally game changing in the industry and that was an amazing thing. Best wishes.

I love G&G A-game and Vit C, and love The Ordinary serums and moisturiser. I'd find it hard to pick a favourite but I'd have to choose TO as I use more of their products. But now that I've tried G&G's vit C and retinal, I'm never trying any others - they are definitely keepers and I'll be a lifelong consumer of those so I hope they never change them!
Somewhere in my mind I *knew* you would choose G&G (what would the argireline solution, lactic acid and the copper peptides think of this, Rob?? Lol) I have to agree, it's mostly their serums that carry The Ordinary, their free shipping over £25 and the fact that you can buy them from Lookfantastic/Cult Beauty etc with your other products even if you buy just one TO product. G&G's £15 shipping even to the UK has put me off from buying from them for now but maybe they'll diversify distributors in the future. Great video xx

I’ve promised myself that i would give you my personal review since I learned about TO and Geek and Gorgeous from you. So the facts are... 55 years old, always sunshine in Greece, dry skin full of dark spot all over my face. 1. AM and PM routine begin with TO cleanser, 101 toner, caffeine solution, 101 b-bomb, 101 HA5 RICH 2. Twice a week TO Lactic exfoliation AM after cleanser, the rest the same plus NHA CREAM by TO 3.AM after the 1. above argireline and buffet with copper peptide OR only EUK 134 4.PM after the1.above ascorbic acid plus Arbutin, resveratol plus ferulic acid NHA TO CREAM 5.PM after the 1. above retinol by Estée Lauder.. sorry I have to finish it. Conclusion in my opinion these companies are like best friends. TO is the pioneer and has history and G&again just started. Final my orders from TO arrived in Greece after ONE MONTH and G&G after 3 DAYS. HUGS AND KISSES HUN and thank you for your offering and sharing your knowledge .

Geek & Gorgeous It is an incredible brand better than The Ordinary absolutely its textures, product effectiveness and its formulas are very well developed. A-Game, C-Glow and Hydrating Toner are my farovitos so far, they are so effective that I just can't stop using them even after using 0.025% retinoic acid and having my face super irritated 😭 don't notice the changes I have noticed with A-Game.
G & G for me is winner! I like their formulations and despite their smaller selection of products I must say that I am super happy with all. I tried whole product range (except Hyaluronic serum since I am not using it separately). I cannot say same about TO, with few their products I had issues on my sensitive skin (Niacinamide, peeling solution...) But I love Argireline and hair treatment from TO. If I would have to choose only one brand from those 2 I would definetly go for G&G, fortunatelly I do not need to choose only one :)

G&G are much better suited for sensitive skin, so for me it wins. TO has such high concentrations of actives and I can’t use any of their products anymore
Great video. I use a few items from TO, pycnogenol, argireline, vit c derivative with long name. I am working my way to G&G retinol, via TIL and also want to try the hydrating mist. I always see my moisturiser as my most pampering and luxurious product so use a Judith Williams one, rightly or kidding myself 😂 x
Loving the G&G AGame 10.....bring on competitive international postage though....ouch it's pricey! Yet to try my TO AHA\BHA peel until I've phased in the AGame....it's my style to run 10yrs behind with trends 😂

Definitely G&G for me. Love theirs C glow and Apad. Think they nailed formulation for each product , where TO feels like having lots of products but didn't put 100% into each of them. Horrible azelaic acid, vit c and retinol. One extra point... prefer to support small brand... EL has enough money.... 🤑
The 2 times I ordered to G&G, it took literally 3 days (I live in Europe) , no more. It is great! I think I will try the low strength Retinal soon :-) Overall, both brands are good and I do use both in my routines!

Great video! I like the result because it reflects my own opinions on the brands! I like a lot from G&G and some of the Ordinary but there are hits and misses with both. Actually, at least in the EU, I’m pretty sure there is a 25€ free shipping minimum for the Deciem site. I’ve bought from their different brands a few times in the last few months (and I blame you! 😂) and I haven’t paid for shipping. Btw I saw in the brand update video that you can a preorder option, if you’re in the facebook group, but what of you’re not on facebook? Is there any workaround? Have a great day!

in regards to shipping frankly I'm not sorry north America get to taste a bit of Europe's pain with geek and gorgeous! So many brands we have to pay such a high price to be shipped here and that's if they ship to the UK at all T_T

I'm only one week on GG game 5 and c glow and I love them ❤️ I use them daily and absolutely no reaction whatsoever,, I just realized that I actually use much product every time and the product is only 30grams,, could anyone tell me how long 30ml lasts you for?

Hello Rob! Been following your channel for awhile now and so inspired by your new skincare brand launch. I'll for sure check it out once it's on the market! I wanted to ask you if you find the Ordinary squalane cleanser as a good first cleanser in a double-cleanse routine? Could it even double as both? My preferred second cleanser is btw the Geek and Gorgeous, such a lovely texture :)

Hi Rob I use a mix of both tbh, but for holy grails the Geek and gorgeous wins hands down - their Apad and Agame are both products I repurchase over and over again. I like the squalane cleanser and nmf from the ordinary, but they're not must haves for me. If I want to try a new ingredient (new to me) I often turn to the ordinary - the price is right and they have a large range of serums not every brand has. If my skin tolerates the ingredient I often move onto a more elegant formulation, but appreciate being able to try it for a low price. There is not one product from the ordinary I absolutely must have in my routine, although I dip in and out at times from the range. That's the difference and why G&G is also the winner for me. I have hypersensitive skin with both rosacea and eczema, plus my skin is very dry. The HA base of most of the ordinary serums is the main issue I have with the products, as my skin doesn't tolerate a high amount of HA - the lack of humidity in Scotland means I get a lot of rebound dehydration. I therefore can't really layer their serums, which is the way they're designed to be used. I too am surprised G&G don't have a moisturiser or the ordinary don't do a hydrating toner of some description - both are gaps in their range. I'm not really overly brand loyal to any brand - I buy the best formulation I can find for a decent price from a variety of brands. I think the days of just using one brand is done for many people and we should benefit from the choice available to us. I'll always respect Deciem for the influence they have had on the skincare market, as the ordinary was totally game changing in the industry and that was an amazing thing. Best wishes.

I love G&G A-game and Vit C, and love The Ordinary serums and moisturiser. I'd find it hard to pick a favourite but I'd have to choose TO as I use more of their products. But now that I've tried G&G's vit C and retinal, I'm never trying any others - they are definitely keepers and I'll be a lifelong consumer of those so I hope they never change them!

I have to agree, it's mostly their serums that carry The Ordinary, their free shipping over £25 and the fact that you can buy them from Lookfantastic/Cult Beauty etc with your other products even if you buy just one TO product. G&G's £15 shipping even to the UK has put me off from buying from them for now but maybe they'll diversify distributors in the future. Great video xx

I’ve promised myself that i would give you my personal review since I learned about TO and Geek and Gorgeous from you.
So the facts are... 55 years old, always sunshine in Greece, dry skin full of dark spot all over my face.
1. AM and PM routine begin with TO cleanser, 101 toner, caffeine solution, 101 b-bomb, 101 HA5 RICH
2. Twice a week TO Lactic exfoliation AM after cleanser, the rest the same plus NHA CREAM by TO
3.AM after the 1. above argireline and buffet with copper peptide OR only EUK 134
4.PM after the1.above ascorbic acid plus Arbutin, resveratol plus ferulic acid NHA TO CREAM
5.PM after the 1. above retinol by Estée Lauder.. sorry I have to finish it.
Conclusion in my opinion these companies are like best friends. TO is the pioneer and has history and G&again just started.
Final my orders from TO arrived in Greece after ONE MONTH and G&G after 3 DAYS.

Geek & Gorgeous It is an incredible brand better than The Ordinary absolutely its textures, product effectiveness and its formulas are very well developed. A-Game, C-Glow and Hydrating Toner are my farovitos so far, they are so effective that I just can't stop using them even after using 0.025% retinoic acid and having my face super irritated 😭 don't notice the changes I have noticed with A-Game.

G & G for me is winner! I like their formulations and despite their smaller selection of products I must say that I am super happy with all. I tried whole product range (except Hyaluronic serum since I am not using it separately). I cannot say same about TO, with few their products I had issues on my sensitive skin (Niacinamide, peeling solution...) But I love Argireline and hair treatment from TO. If I would have to choose only one brand from those 2 I would definetly go for G&G, fortunatelly I do not need to choose only one :)

G&G are much better suited for sensitive skin, so for me it wins. TO has such high concentrations of actives and I can’t use any of their products anymore
Great video. I use a few items from TO, pycnogenol, argireline, vit c derivative with long name. I am working my way to G&G retinol, via TIL and also want to try the hydrating mist. I always see my moisturiser as my most pampering and luxurious product so use a Judith Williams one, rightly or kidding myself 😂 x

Definitely G&G for me. Love theirs C glow and Apad. Think they nailed formulation for each product , where TO feels like having lots of products but didn't put 100% into each of them. Horrible azelaic acid, vit c and retinol. One extra point... prefer to support small brand... EL has enough money.... 🤑

The 2 times I ordered to G&G, it took literally 3 days (I live in Europe) , no more. It is great! I think I will try the low strength Retinal soon :-) Overall, both brands are good and I do use both in my routines!

Great video! I like the result because it reflects my own opinions on the brands! I like a lot from G&G and some of the Ordinary but there are hits and misses with both.
Actually, at least in the EU, I’m pretty sure there is a 25€ free shipping minimum for the Deciem site. I’ve bought from their different brands a few times in the last few months (and I blame you! 😂) and I haven’t paid for shipping.
Btw I saw in the brand update video that you can a preorder option, if you’re in the facebook group, but what of you’re not on facebook? Is there any workaround?

in regards to shipping frankly I'm not sorry north America get to taste a bit of Europe's pain with geek and gorgeous! So many brands we have to pay such a high price to be shipped here and that's if they ship to the UK at all T_T

I'm only one week on GG game 5 and c glow and I love them ❤️ I use them daily and absolutely no reaction whatsoever,, I just realized that I actually use much product every time and the product is only 30grams,, could anyone tell me how long 30ml lasts you for?
