I just love this video. It’s so clear that you had such a bond with your grandma. I miss mine so much. Very true about pendants and/or brooches looking good on older people. I know it’s an older video but I just now saw it for the first time. Very tingly, thank you!

Ilse, I'm sorry to hear your Grandmother passed away. Even though it was several years ago, it always feels like it was just yesterday that they were here. She had some really pretty jewelry. I love the brooches and the pendants. I knew you were a Pisces sister. I am a Pisces too. Elderly people, especially women, always give me ASMR. And yes, definitely Bob Ross. I still watch his videos to this day. I don't know when your birthday is;March or February? But, Happy Birthday to you! I love this video and watch and listen to it quite often.

I really appreciate how slow, thoughtful and deliberate you are with hand movement. You are so aware of how this seemingly small detail conveys relaxation in a way that cues the brain that many other asmrtists do not consider.

I'm glad you are honoring your grandma's jewelry. Both dark red necklaces look like garnet. That first one you showed, with the bumpy natural surface is called druzy. The orange ring looks like coral.
I understand your comment about old people and their old jewlery, that wouldn't work well on younger people!

Andrea Seigel sent me here! Her report about ASMR on This American Life floored me. I get ASMR mostly on the left side of my body, the tingles start behind my left ear, and goes all the way down to above my left knee. Glad to know I'm not the only weirdo out there, haha. I loved to watch Bob Ross as well :D

I know this video is really old and you'll never see this, but the stone necklace you showed at 6:20 (it's citrine I think) is not only gorgeous, but I have the same one!!! Mine isn't citrine though, it's amethyst, but besides that they're the exact same necklace.

Also, seeing your grandparents' wedding rings side by side like that gave me a lump in my throat. So beautiful to know they were together so long until she passed on. I love seeing jewellery videos that have a backstory behind them. You can almost picture their lifetime together seeing these pieces.

My first reaction to the video was "Why on earth is this girl whispering the whole time and what does ASMR stand for?" I continued to watch and noticed how relaxed I was feeling. I had no idea ASMR was a thing until I heard the This American Life podcast. I always experienced it as a feeling that just happened here and there. I never thought about trying to induce it or replicate it. I think you must be an incredibly generous and gentle soul to share this with others. I found the video so comforting - reminded me of being a child again. I am pregnant with my first child - and could feel the baby moving when you whispered. I think you have your grandmothers gift.

That was lovely! I lived in Amsterdam before the euro came, and I have lots of the old coins! I am definitely going to get them made into necklace pendants like ur Grandma's! I loved this video! Would love to see the two other jewellery ideas you mentioned! Xxx
