I also agree that Lupita looking away from the camera is better, it's so mysterious it really grabs one's attention, a real pity that it wasn't the chosen shot.
The problem with the pictures of them looking directly at you, is that you don't see the jewelry. Your focus is on the face of the person, not the object. The Lupita one was a good example. The one where is is looking away, makes you focus on the jewelry.
Exactly and I knew they would go with the more commercial photo choice of Lupita, the one that oddly enough takes ALL the focus OFF the jewelry. Predictable. The money people almost always make the wrong artistic choices.
Well, I don't understand it. Why should there be a need for uniformity? The pictures share a blue background. They have ladies dressed in black, they're all actresses. That's not uniform enough?

She was right about Lupita! 😢 If you ask someone with her years of experience to work with you and then you over rule then what was the point! #missedopportunity 😮
Christy's photo also doesn't respect her directive of "very close up photos, like headshots". No wonder why she says "they look like jewelry ads" because they are two far away, disconnecting her photo from the series.
@@dannyyismanoe2020 I do not agree. She didn’t get to where she is in her career agreeing. Grace is amazing but she needed Anna's edited. Together they made an amazing team. Remember in "the September issue" when Grace wanted that pink coat with the big hands on it? Anna said, "NO". The thing looked like something out of a horror movie. So Grace is the best at what she's does but then needs someone else to pull her back in a bit like Anna did.
To the woman with bad hair and heavy eyeliner: You hired Grace Coddington to help you change your ad campaign and make it modern. She told you the photos cannot be contrived and yet you didn't listen to her "years of experience and knowledge" and went ahead with your choice. The result is exactly what Grace told you. The photo of Lupita looking at the camera is contrived and takes the viewer's attention away from Tiffany's Jewelry. This is beautiful! As a professional woman myself, who also loves Tiffany pieces, I am proud you are moving the advertising forward (i.e. removing the man / romance) yet how wonderful it would have been to see the lead professional artistic directors wearing the pieces. Tiffany is not just for young girls but accomplished successful women too. I admire the two female directors and think they overlooked themselves as major icons worthy of the beautiful designs.

Grace has such a keen eye and her picture style invites you to wear this jewelry yourself, these are for the everyday woman, daughter, wife or friend to enjoy....daily and not just for a special event.
I love these images. In fact, I love everything Grace Coddington does to be honest. I think Natalie's image is my favourite, but they're all stunning. If you haven't already read Grace Coddington's Memoirs autobiography you really should. One of my favourite reads ever.
Three years ago back in 2016, I used the Natalie Westling picture for my high school collage project. Present day I forgot all about that project until I watched this video. The signature tiffany blue, the model, and the hands was what jogged my memory and I literally dug through my closet to find my project just to make sure that picture was the same picture I had used and it was! For someone like me who RARELY ever looks through magazines and cares nothing for Tiffany's or jewelry or brand name merchandise, Grace had really succeeded in her goal for this campaign. I obviously flicked through the magazine, stopped at this picture and tore it out from the book to use it in my project. In a way her idea and composition for this picture became a passing moment but also a memory as I could recall that same image 3 years later(now). This is all just gibber jab and stuff but as an artist I find it really nice to see and watch other artists talk about their artistic goals and seeing them become successful in their vision. This video was definitely inspirational and quite motivating! Kudos to the video editor too for making the video pleasing to watch!
What I can say about Tiffany & Co Just simply ... for the ppl who understand the classic story ) For everyone who needs to give your children memory of love For ppl who keep harmony's And beautiful memories .. Tiffany adorable and affordable for the generation 's 💙

Brilliance. Expressing yourself confidently without putting anyone else down. Genius. This is the real power.
"I am not saying I'm right, I am saying what I believe"...A lot of people including me, needs to fully understand thoa statement...
Absolutely brilliant choice of color for Tiffany packaging! The key pendant…it really opens things up. Some things are truly legendary
ten minutes of feel good
My goodness, Christy Turlington really is a work of art.
So graceful and elegant
Perfect in every way!
Grace has such a keen eye and her picture style invites you to wear this jewelry yourself, these are for the everyday woman, daughter, wife or friend to enjoy....daily and not just for a special event.
I agree with the images she picked , some looking away or tilted but like she said the final decision isn’t always hers .
Thank you, Grace. i love listening to you speak about shots. We think alike. You would make a great mentor for anyone.
Christy Turlington is stunningly gorgeous...
Susan Dey is GORGEOUS; Turlington is so UGLY and scrawny looking, ugh!
Larry you have no concept of beauty! Christy Turlington is awe inspiringly beautiful!
I love these images. In fact, I love everything Grace Coddington does to be honest. I think Natalie's image is my favourite, but they're all stunning. If you haven't already read Grace Coddington's Memoirs autobiography you really should. One of my favourite reads ever.
Someone knows the music?
one of the most real, authentic, genuine and beautiful people in fashion : LOVE HER! XX
I usually hate celebrity add campaigns. But this one seemed to work.
Beautiful video!
