Thankyou for the content, flicking surface for whiting is one of my favourite summer pastimes, greetings from Port Stephens. Even when empty handed on the way home usually see something interesting wading the flats.
Gday mate, thanks for watching!! It’s a addictive way it’s definitely my favourite in the estuary! Your in a great spot up there, I dropped a 1m plus flatty off little beach two months ago such a great fishery up there
Yeah you are right they do get tangled on the front treble but on this lure it’s not so bad mate! I find the hook up rate has improved since using back assist hooks for sure
Good tips, appreciate the vid. I find the treble hook keeps tangling up with my main line, so I have removed the treble and only using assists on the rear of the lure. Curious, what is your hook up rate treble (front) vs assist ( rear) hooks?
Hey mate thanks for watching! The hook up rate is nearly always on the rear assist hooks but I still get a few hooking up on the front trebles too so I leave them on, but it always depends on what works best for you at the end of the day! If you don’t mind subscribe to my channel too mate and good luck on the water!!!
Hey Steve, thanks for watching! I think you could you any 2-4kg rod for too water whiting! I’ve used a few others all do the job! I do like the squad it’s nice and soft! I use 6 pound braid and 6 pound Fluorocarbon and you can still use 8 pound no worries

How do you rate the assist hooks? I find they tangle up with the belly treble too much for my liking
