This dude has it figured out. One of my favorite stories is this guy’s life. It’s really inspirational to see someone so committed to combatting racism. And he does it with simple logic and just being friendly. The world would be a much better place if people could just follow his advice when talking to someone with an opposing viewpoint. Yes. This method works. I tested it on everyone. But you have to remain calm no matter what they say when they attack you. It's funny to watch them think why isn't he attacking me back? It used to be much more common to encounter people who knew how to have productive discussions with people they disagree with (or are flat out wrong). In most cases, there is an approach that is beneficial, and, "You're a piece of shit and I am superior!!" is not it. Seems to be the common approach to discourse now, however.

I'm still dumbfounded at the fact that there was a SERIOUS attempt to cancel this podcast. You can be a white supremacist, black panther. Conspiracy theorist, scientologist. Republican, Democrat. Conservative, Progressive. Etc etc etc!
Rogan has his own personal opinions on issues, and he doesn't let those opinions dictate the outcome of his highly educational interviews. He gives every person on his show the benefit of the doubt and he let's everyone speak their mind. This is such a pure and honest way of talking about current events.

You know the left and the establishment are getting out of hand when they want to cancel Joe Rogan out of all people. Joe Rogan! I understand them wanting to cancel Alex Jones or Steven Crowder who people keep associating Joe Rogan's views with.
Rogan doesn't really let people speak their minds. He dresses down each guest before each show to tell them explicitly what they can and cannot talk about. Rogan is someone that pretends to cater to both political parties in an effort to be popular. You literally couldn't be any more fake.

I can still remember listing to this episode for the first time and just being in awe of this man’s story.
The fact he’s mature and strong enough to sit there and listen to these klansmen give their part and then talk to them about why it’s wrong is amazing. Most people never put up with that, much respect to this man for actually trying to make the world a better place.
I love this guy and wish we had more Daryl’s in society. We all, including me, could learn a lot from him.
It’s crazy what you could learn by establishing a dialogue right? How crazy is it that that communication of all things could allow us to gain a better insight into other’s mindsets and work towards improving our own.

When he talks about changing people's perspection in order to help change their reality. It's absolutely beautiful, because it's soo simply put.

12:05 That's such a great quote. Language is another thing that really brings down those walls and puts things into perspective. There was a polyglot named Moses (Laoshu505000 on UA-cam) who unfortunately passed away last year. He was a super tall black dude, but you can see how people's faces lit up and how they immediately became more open and friendly to him once he started speaking their language. Nothing says respect for a person's culture more.
People here comment on his common sense and wisdom but what I wanna mention is his patience. You need a calm, patient mind, and inner relaxation to talk to someone who hates you for a minute - not even mentioning he does this for hours.
