I love Gary Rossington’s (RIP) work on the Skynyrd version of this song. He wasn’t technically flashy or particularly fast but he internalized the musical idioms of his generation in such a fluent way and was very influenced by Clapton’s blending of major and minor pentatonic licks. Such tasty phrasing in this song. Thanks for teaching this.
