Jowgen and rivalry block last will, dimensional fissure banish sangan and witch. There are chances, also, exodia struggled in three of its four matches, it's not unbeatable as people believe so we will see... 🤔
Game3, setting the tsuk is a blunder. Spellbooks can consistently summon yowgen but rulers have to manually draw their jowgen answer. Setting it only to get run over by blueboy+power is asking to lose
It was the right play...he didn't flip tsuku until the spellbook player used judgment. He had perfect information for three turns due to erradicator, plus veiler and droll if he drew blue boy.
They’re talking about game 3 not game 4 lol, and yes it was a blunder knowing spellbooks can out it both by battle and with fate meaning jowgen can be safely setup and now the out to jowgen is gone for good, which again is what dragon ruler wants to have available at all times
Worlds 2013 finals memories, the last good worlds before konami came with the idea of creating a "original" format for worlds that doesn't reflect the metagame for OCG or TCG
Mmm probably shouldn't have set tsukuyomi in game 2. Other than that amazing match, this is an historical matchup in this game. Also, spellbook is the real contender against metalfoes and kozmo as i mentioned in other comments. Rulers won the previous edition, if spellbooks win this year's cbc we will have the perfect celebration for 2013 👌🏻. Oh man, after seeing these two decks beaten up by modern decks unfairly now we can see them shine. I hope nekroz can be added to the upper bracket next year, we have a lot of big titants now haha oh yes.
There is a reason baby dragonrulers was never tier 0. And that reason is Spellbook of judgement and jowgen. I dont see why the youtube poll favoured Dragon rulers this much. Its literally a hiatorical format that was rather equal in top cuts. With Rulers being slightly ahead.
Because spellbook judgement is legal and its trash thats why people just assumed that. Anyone know the history of these two should know it was close to 50/50
This was a regular match-up once, very, very close back then, maybe 52/3 - 47/8 in favour of DR. I assumed the votes would be closer. protect the jowgen vs eradicator gg. The match-up was what I expected, with the die roll being the key to victory. I'll be generous and say tear win 3-1. Maybe they get some lucky mills vs bad tear mills and steal a win.
@@AmusedDragonflies-it8nuEvilswarms had access to ophion, exciton knight and ouroboros, so if you take away judgment from spellbooks, Evilswarms might just have the advantage.
Use the MST. Your opponent needs fate to prevent themselves from losing and you have a 50 percent chance to hit it. You literally played into it knowing they had it. That's throwing away any chance you have of winning.
There's a reason even Master Duel fears Jowgen's power. Though that reason isn't tied to Spellbooks these days unfortunately. Konami is afraid of giving Spellcasters good searchers because then they'd be at risk of making Dark Magician a good deck. And if DM becomes a good deck those boomers will NEVER play anything else again.
I voted Spellbook's, idk why so many people think its a landslide for Rulers. in reality this is close to a dice roll matchup. Shaddoll's are my favorite but the will lose for sure vs Tear. that's as far away from a dice roll as you can get. Tear is something crazy different. One Day we will look at tear like How we look at Chaos today. I cant even think about a Yugioh where tear is too power-crept. Game would probably be dead by then.
Both of these decks would be so sick if they got real modern support. I actually think judgment is a card that fits into modern yugioh pretty well without causing unfun game states.... as long as jowgen gets banned (and maybe another random floodgate spellcaster that I'm forgetting?). If rulers got some real rank 7's and/or light and dark rulers/babies, and spellbooks got some searchable spells that didn't suck other than fate, that'd be sick.
What's the problem with that? 😂😂😂 We have seen decks from same formats facing each other in previous editions, it depends on how the bracket is made. Some people just love to complain I guess.
That's what I was thinking when he went to end phase. But I think he still could have banished decree then had wing blast ready unless I'm missing something.
Because it failed to keep it in check. It was ALMOST as good and dragon rulers were kinda bricky, so the result isn't that surprising, bug historically Dragon Rulers vs spellbook tends to go to Dragons most of the time.
The fact Spellbooks main Droll give hope on the Exodia matchup. I choose to believe

Spellbooks opening floodgates and solemns every game is just too insane.

Spellbook of Judgment specifically.
Technically it was evilswarms

The fact that this iconic match up happened this early on in the tournament is so wild to me. I’d hate to be Tengu Plants right about now.
Unfortunate? Spellbook open busted every time it went 1st 😅
