Im one of those people that go nuts for cool Pokeball designs, seeing this is a real blessing
Wait... I've seen your comments in Msm videos before.
I agree though, the Beast ball, despite a fairly simple concept, looks amazing. Heck, even the Dusk ball looks amazing.
@@hux0rd I’ll admit tho the quick ball is ugly but the best item a man can get (if ur trying to get All the Pokédex)
@@AmongusBalls65 the quick ball design is very cool, idk why people hate it.
Im a freak who spends ludicrous pokedollars to get a Pokémon in a poke ball that has a 1x catch rate but fits with the Pokémon aesthetically
You don’t understand the pain of net ball arctibax
HA HA DEZ NUTS
The Guardian Ball is such a cool idea. It feels like something they would actually implement to make the games easier. Think of how many times you've accidentally knocked out a Pokemon you're trying to catch before you have access to False Swipe.
Or you do False Swipe them and they use a self damaging move
Omg the Mario iceberg guy ❤❤❤
@@arachineatzeer7478 or in the classic fashion
The Pokemon exploded
@@iamalwaysalone73 Technically self damaging, just the damage is 100% HP and as cost to use it, just like Ghost type Curse
@@arachineatzeer7478 Except Curse from a Ghost Type only deals 50% of their max HP to itself upon using it. Allowing Ghost Types to use it twice before Fainting if you do not heal it enough after the first use. Personally, I feel Final Gambit is a more fitting comparison to Self Destruct/Explosion, as it's the same cost to use, just that Final Gambit uses a fixed damage output based on the HP of user, transferring that amount of HP as damage against it's target
I think the weather ball should have 100% catch rate on Castform, for when it isn't dexited.
I've always wanted a Pokeball counterpart to the Dusk Ball. Given how much the day and night cycles have changed, especially with Scarlet and Violet, a day-boosted Pokeball would work really well to complement the Dusk Ball.
Also, that Tarot Ball looks cool! Definitely need more purple Pokeballs.
Though, the Dawn Ball should be rare-ish or expensive, as you're way more likely to be outside of a cave than inside one.
would def have to be nerfed
Dude I love the designs ! There is a lot of thought put into these ideas !
The Ignition Ball really caught me off guard lol
I thought that it had a high catch rate on Fire types
i dont like the shiny ball design theres too much open space
The Tarot Ball looks more like a Pokéball designed by the Sheikah from the Zelda franchise. Maybe it is the pattern chosen looking like the constellation patterns on the walls of shrines from Breath of the Wild.
With people being able to get much higher level Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet than originally intended, a Pokeball that make your Pokémon obey you regardless of level would be a cool idea for a new Pokeball
The Obedience Ball
That was one thing I really hated.
It would have to be rare and/or very expensive to balance things out
Pokemon should just obey you with max friendship so you need to commit to wanting to use them.
Still reasonable enough you could do it if you wanted to but a big enough hassle that kids and casual fans wouldn't break the balance of the game accidentally
@@velvetbutterfly even you would not listen to what your best friend says depending on what they say so absolute obedience is asking for the impossible.
Would you hurt somebody if your best friend asked you to do so?
For the champion ball instead of ivs you can have it so any evs earned is doubled. Basically replacing pokerus which isn't in this gen.
I chuckled at the idea of a Pokéball specifically made to catch Bidoof of all things!
Maybe allow x5 if used on bibarel so that it gets slightly more use
The only ball that will used to catch Rusty's God Bidoof... the infamous Peanut butter
I think a Feather ball would work well. It's effect would be that it has an increased catch rate against lighter Pokemon. Also, if the wild Pokemon is a flying type, the catch rate doubles.
This
So, pretty much just the Feather Ball from Legends: Arceus??
@@mp-lily7908 that's literally what it's based on, it will just have no woody parts on it.
@@mp-lily7908 after all the heavy ball from legends arceus is based off the heavy ball from pokemon GSC
Great ideas! Here's my notes on the ideas and mechanics of what I'd change or not:
Sun Ball: Great.
Shiny Ball: Amazing. It'd almost never be useful, but when it was...
Rookie Ball: Change from yellow to green to not confuse with Ultra Ball.
Mature Ball: I thought at first it'd be overpowered, but actually the requirement for a 3 stage line narrows its use to favorable.
Wealth Ball: Feel like it competes with the Premiere, Luxury, and Cherish Balls, but honestly it kinds outdoes them. Good work.
Champion Ball: Clever.
Earth Ball: Hm, maybe too much water.
Evolution Ball: Feel like this competes with the Rookie Ball.
Stand-Alone Ball: Works, but make it not work on Legends and stuff like that to keep its use on wild mons.
Alpha Ball: Like Heavy Ball but with volume, cool.
Brown Ball: Lol yes.
Dawn Ball: Eh, it'd be overused. Recommend changing it from just daytime outside to "lit" places, like cities and buildings with artificial lights.
Cursed Ball: Kinda lame but totally in line with Frustration vs Attract.
Guardian Ball: Here's how I think it ought to work. It acts as a freebie when fainting, but only once. When they faint, you auto throw this ball. If you don't want that to happen, don't carry it.
Bullet Ball: Scrap this one. Timer Ball is the opposite of Quick Ball. This is kinda just a slow ball.
Lake Ball: Like the use of egg groups and making this ball canon.
Weather Ball: Call it Climate Ball. Not accurate but who cares.
Stat Ball: Clever, but seems a bit esoteric. It'd probably be unused except by dedicated fans.
Legend Ball: Basically a psuedo-Master Ball. Great but make sure only a small, finite amount can be obtained.
Ignition Ball: This would be abused to kill any boss-like wild mons and Legends, especially by younger players. Instead of fainting them, have it just give them a PokeBurn, where no balls will work on them anymore, but they must still be defeated.
Random Ball: Amazing lol, but lower it to 4x max to not compete with other balls.
Reverse Ball: Great.
Emergency Ball: Like how this would conflict with the Guardian Ball as I imagine it. Adds an element of strategy.
Gam Ball: Call it Investment Ball and make it green and white. Just do what society does and call it stocks so it doesn't feel like gambling.
Synchronize Ball: Interesting.
Retro Ball: Scrap this one. GF doesn't neglect old gens. Gen I gets preferential treatment, and this would just exacerbate that.
Dex Ball: Like that the catch rate is just 2.5 to prevent overuse.
Union Ball: Don't like this one. Just feels too meta, like having a settings ball.
Terrain Ball: Feels like a reskin of Weather Ball. Maybe give it the four-quadrant treatment.
Tarot Ball: If GF doesn't like gambling, they won't like tarot. Call it Rune Ball.
How will the ignition ball be abused? If you want to faint a Pokémon, you are probably battling a trainer, which you can’t throw balls at trainers Pokémon
While of course in general trainers are harder than wild Pokemon, Legendaries have always served as boss battles, and newer generations increasingly have wild bosses in the form of totems, sages, big trucks, or whatever the gimmick is for the gen lol.
There is a Fast Ball that is different from the Quick Ball. Quick Ball works best early in the battle, while the Fast Ball works better on Pokémon with a high base Speed stat
@@davidbenson6329 great idea
Dawn ball will broken if existed
Master Ball? Nah.... people will solely used Dawn and Dusk ball more often as Quick Ball
Even probably replace Ultra Ball in competitive play forever
Although the pokeball is overused and classic, these concepts are cool asf
The quick ball is the best poke ball tho
@@AmongusBalls65 nah it looks really ugly, it’s just good at catching things
"Overused" its literally the main thing of pokemon
Have you seen the Pokemon Pokeball rocket stove on Cool Cement channel?
@@macewindu5195nah I disagree the quick ball looks pretty damn cool
The yellow and blue just blend in so well with the pokeball
Not enough poke balls🗿
🗿
🗿
Not enough balls🗿

🗿
The Dawn Ball looks so fricking awesome, 100/10 hands down. The cursed ball is also great because I find it ridiculous that evil teams never try to purposely give negative happiness to their Pokemon except for Ghetsis.
If Dawn ball existed
Player: Ultra Ball?Great Ball?Master Ball? What's that? I only used Dawn and Dusk Ball
The only problem with the ignition ball is if someone was having struggle beating a wild Pokemon they could use the ignition ball to kill it instantly (or catch it).
Maybe if it made the user's Pokémon faint as well?
Maybe it'd depend on level or Pokemon type (for example if the Pokemon was higher level than yours or was legendary/limited in some way your Pokemon would faint instead).
@@urkerabyeah this is good so players don't ignition ball their way out of encounters
@@pandepanda31 Then when would you ever use it?
Add a caveat: "pokemon that faint from the effects of this ball yield 0 exp points"
I really like the risk reward ratio for the Emergency Ball idea. Really high chance to catch but if it doesn’t then it’s game over for that Pokémon
You mean the ignition ball?
@@DMP64 not necessarily, you may have the ignite ball and a Guardian ball in the bag hehe
Some of these are insanely good. Need these in the game
I honestly love every single one of these ideas :) let's also not forget, all these new balls would give people new colour-matching options when deciding which ball to catch a shiny in too haha
Color Ball: Appearance is a clear glass ball. 1x catchrate. The balls color changes to match the primary type of the pokemon caught [Appears like a regular pokeball with the top half being the color.]
As a ghost type lover, that tarot ball is something I need.
I think the easiest way to implement the Guardian ball would be to use it in battle, but it wouldn't be thrown til the Pokemon faints so you're basically setting it up for later just in case. I know you'd be using up a turn but I think if you're looking to catch a tough pokemon, you're probably okay wasting an extra turn
Definitely could rename the Weather Ball to the Forecast Ball
This is a really creative idea, well done. 👍🏻
My favourite designs are The Shiny ball, The Wealth ball, The Legend ball and The Tarot ball.
I’m now imagining seeing James’s family primarily using The Wealth ball and I think the Tarot ball would fit well with Gym leader Olympia.
The ignition ball is super cool, would probably have to be post game since you can technically KO any wild encounter.
Also huge flex to have a shiny caught in one of these.
Most of these sound overpowered but I'd like to see them getting added someday😎
I think the wealth ball may be my favorite, imagine having a shiny in a wealth ball, the true status symbol
If there was a ball for water egg group pokemon... there should be balls for other egg groups too! They should be sold exclusively by pokemon breeder NPCs. Also, cursed concept: the ball for humanshape pokemon is called the "Companion Ball"
Please anything other than the word companion, for the love of god if game freak did add it please have it named something else
Imagine the Shiny Ball adapts to the colour of the shiny itself, to the point that it matches
I love the Tarot Ball. I’ve been of the mindset for a while that there should be more Poké Balls, like the Net Ball, that are better at catching pokémon of certain types.
I like the dual split designs, makes it seem like they open like flowers near the button, where each slot opens.
So, as expected, the Weather Ball and Gam Ball are just so awesome to me. But, out of all of them, my favorites
range in 2 categories. Design-wise, I adore the Guardian Ball, and for the functionality, the Ignition Ball. I love the
balls with some neat draw-backs, even if they could be a challenge to use. It really adds some variety!
I saw the Rookie and Mature Ball and the first thing that came to mind is the sheer number of 2-stage lines in Paldea
I watched this video when it first came out, and last night I thought of the idea of region-based balls. Basically a Kanto Ball has a 4x catch rate on the OG 151. The Hoenn ball has a 4x catch rate on Hoenn mon, etc.
Seeker Ball (purple top with a white eye): 4x catch rate on Pokemon using any move which makes them invulnerable to damage (eg. Substitute, Protect, Dig).
Wobble Ball (brown top with white polka dots): 4x catch rate on pokemon which are confused.
Simple Ball (entirely grey with a white centre band instead of black): 3.5x catch rate until you do anything other than throw a Simple Ball.
Herd Ball (green top with a white plus): 4x catch rate if your active Pokemon is from the same evolutionary line as the target.
The way I see it, we only need 18 types of Pokeballs, one for each type. The Nest Ball is a step in that direction, but we need to expand on that
The Steam Ball. Good for catching Fire and Water type Pokemon.
The Ion Ball. Good for catching Electric and Water type Pokemon.
The Swamp Ball. Good for catching Grass and Water type Pokemon.
The Pool Ball. Good for catching Normal and Water type Pokemon.
The Serpent Ball. Good for catching Dragon and Water type Pokemon.
The Cloud Ball. Good for catching Flying and Water type Pokemon.
The Mud Ball. Good for catching Ground and Water Type Pokemon.
The Waterfall Ball. Good for catching Fighting and Water type Pokemon.
The Droplet Ball. Good for catching Psychic and Water type Pokemon.
The Nereides Ball. Good for catching Fairy and Water Type Pokemon.
The Deep Ball. Good for catching Dark and Water type Pokemon.
The Drowned Ball. Good for catching Ghost and Water Type Pokemon.
The Sediment Ball. Good for catching Rock and Water Type Pokemon.
The Titanic Ball. Good for catching Steel and Water type Pokemon.
The PH ball. Good for catching Poison and Water type Pokemon.
The Cold Ball. Good for catching Ice and Water type Pokemon.
The Bait Ball. Good for catching Water type Pokemon.
@@beckhampang191 nice work
I have always been a huge fan of unique pokeballs, I just hate that most of the time you can only get one per save file, but I loved this video! I really like these ideas!
3:24 “I Stand Alone”
-Jet Jaguar
I’d love more Pokeballs, especially some orange ones. Fast Ball’s menu sprite used to be orange and yellow, but now it’s red and yellow.
Also, something to mention is the unique sendout effect, such as the Moon Ball having crescents flying everywhere. I’d like to think that the Wealth Ball does a lil’ Pay Day animation on sendout!
Not gonna lie, all of these ideas are absolutely stellar. I think every single one is fantastic and I could see these making it into a game with these exact features (minus the Bidoof one, just because it’s a teensy-bit too gimmicky) and those designs! They look SO good! All of them look so cool and I love the thought process behind them. The Ignition Ball, Guardian Ball, Shiny Ball, Emergency Ball, Random Ball, Stat Ball, Synchronize Ball, Weather Ball and Dex Ball are some of my favourites, both in terms of design and functions. Out of all of them though, I think Terrain Ball might just be my favourite; not only does it have a cool mechanic involving doing something in the battle to trigger the increased odds (much like the Weather Ball and Stat Ball) but having the colours change depending on what terrain you caught the Pokémon in? That’s an awesome idea!
I love this video! It’s always fun to think about these kinds of concepts. Even though I’m leaving this comment a year after it came out lol. Really fun video idea and would love to see this in another format, like for held items or something along those lines.
If these pokeballs existed my bag would be as follows:
A bunch of ultra balls for general use, a metric crapton of dex balls, a good many tarot balls, and last but not least, one emergency ball.
Also I like the look of the ignition ball but I already know I won’t be able to catch anything with that my luck is way too poor.
The Aura Guardian: **Mentions a golden coloured pokeball**
Me: **G.S. Ball flashbacks**
As someone who is a Pokeball enthusiast I'm always dying for new Pokeballs. I think it's a shame they rarely introduce new ones anymore. I love the Sun Ball and I really would like to new pokeballs to better catch Pokemon with different evolution methods (stones, other items, location based, etc). The Waether Ball looks nice too. I also think it would be nice to have at least one Pokeball to make it easier to catch every type, mainly since the water-type already has so many.
I’ve been saying we need a shiny ball for ages now! I love all these ideas, I hope Gamefreak adds some more balls in the future it would be really cool
The BS ball: A ball that has a zero percent chance for the player to catch anything but a 100% chance for NPCs. This is never explained to the player and will eventually stop appearing without explanation.
I really like the Shiny Ball and Union Ball
Especially the Tarot Ball. I’m a bit of a ghost type trainer myself.
The ignition ball is pretty good if you're about to lose against a wild pokemon, you either catch or nuke it.
9:09 I would just spam the reverse ball as if they were hyper balls, 100/10 realistically amazing.
oh my god i used to watch you a LOT as kid and your videos just got recommended to me again :) feels nice to be back
Great video! I think the weather ball could be renamed to the forecast ball so it isn't the same as the move. Castform has forecast as an ability but it's the only pokemon so it's not as big of an overlap
I’m honestly surprised that Game Freak hasn’t made more pokeballs with higher catch rates for specific types. We have 2 that work on water types (3 if you count the lure ball), but I’d be interested in seeing ones that work on fire types or poison types, for example.
If Bidoof gets a ball then they should have a specialized one for each Pokémon line. Would be so epic. Would love a Skitty ball.
Also; there's the rookie and mature balls for the 1st and final forms of a 3 stage line, the evolution ball for those that can evolve, and the stand alone ball for singe stage Pokemon. You should add balls for middle stage evos, evolved Pokemon, and for those who are fully evolved as well.
loved pretty much all of these, not going to lie.
These are all great ideas except, imo, the Evolution Ball. Wouldn't that basically just replace Great and Ultra balls for field catches since most Pokemon evolve?
The brown ball being a reference to 50 new items for Pokemon Sun and Moon is hillarious.
A Pokeball idea I've had for a while:
Dual ball/Multi ball
Drawing inspiration from the TGC card of the same name, a pokeball that has an increased catch rate for wild Pokémon encountered in a double battle or horde mechanic from X/Y.
Allows you to capture all the Pokémon present instead of having to choose one of them and fainting the other.
Especially good when starting out in routes and areas that have the wild double battle mechanic with two Pokémon not yet registered in your dex.
I honestly love all of these. Great work! :)
The synchronise ball seems quite interesting to use.
ignition, random, terrain, and guardian ball among others are some of my favorites. Imagine doing an Ignition Ball only run or Random Ball only run. So cool!
The Shiny Ball being the colors of the Quick Ball is perfect.
The Wealth Ball reminds me of the Meowzie's Pokeball from the anime. It looks very different being a normal Pokeball with diamond studs, but still.
Hell yeah bro I love different Pokéball designs and these are so cool
These sound unique and their own gimmicks but imagine your Wealth ball failing to catch a Pokémon that would kill me
I really love these balls not gonna lie. The designs of them are very cool and the Brown Ball made me laugh. Good job!
I am loving the stat ball design, I’m a huge sucker for pokeball designs and this just hits the spot for me
Great video! Keep up the great work TheAuraGuardian!
The designs abd effects of all of these pokeballs are incredible and unique. Well done. I have one, note ball, works more effectively on pokemon that know sound moves.
Here's an idea I just had: the Welcome Ball, an increased catch rate the more empty slots on your team you have.
I see it like this personally.
1 Pokemon in the party: x5 catch rate
2 Pokemon in party: x4
3 Pokemon: x3
4 Pokemon: x2
5 Pokemon: x1
Full party of 6: x0.1
I made new pokeballs too: here they are
Poke-Cube: The bigger the size, the easier it can be caught, similar to the heavy ball
Guarantee ball: 1.5x catch rate, if it fails, the pokemons' catch rate goes even higher
Night ball: works 3.5x better on a ghost or dark type pokemon [But the tarot ball is better]
Brightness ball: Works 3.5x better on a fire or fairy type pokemon
Air ball: 3.5x better on an electric or flying type pokemon
XP ball: If it catches a pokemon, it will gain xp faster
Double ball: When thrown, the balls split into 2 and catch 2 pokemon that you're battling in the wild. If one catches it's not guaranteed the other will.
As for the balls you made: I think the Guardian ball & Shiny ball are the best.
I just had an idea.
The Destiny Ball.
A Pokeball that has a 5x chance of catching when a Pokémon uses a move like Destiny Bond/Perish Song.
Design:
A Galaxy looking design. Black with airbrushed on purples and blues and little white dots all over the ball.
The sun ball and tarot ball … I love their designs. I love them sm
Give the Emergency ball to PurplerCliffe
These were some great ideas!!
I have a new PokeBall the "Stealer ball" it would have an R on the ball and it would have black on the top and white on the bottom, it would give you 3x catch rate on npc pokemon so, they could have shinies.
These are actually rather cool. I might use some of them for the region I'm making.
I really love the design of the Dawn Ball!
These are really nice, well done!
I love how 3 of these have RNG effects. When I saw the first two I was like "oh you've made gambling Pokeballs" and the 3rd is just called the Gam Ball.
i would use the legend ball everytime :D looks dope
These would be amazing to see in the main series game
These are solid idea for new Pokéball ideas.
Emergency Ball looks like such a good idea and the design is sick. Heck, all of them are sick.
These ideas and designs are awesome bro!
The synchronise ball is gorgeous!
Something like a "Bland Ball" for catching Normal Types, the second-most common type after Water, which already has 3 Balls.
here's smth I thought of while watching: How about in addition to the Retro ball, one that increases catch rate the newer the species is.
All of them are brilliant, especially the shiny ball!!
The guardian ball design reminds me of Mercy from Overwatch
Sun Ball: Good idea. Fits nicely.
Shiny Ball: Love it. Would certainly reduce the anxiety of catching shinies.
Rookie Ball: Wouldn't really make sense as an early-game ball. I can already catch Route 1 mons at full HP with just a Pokéball.
Mature Ball: Very overpowered. It's like a steroidal Ultra Ball.
Wealth Ball: Quite the status symbol. I like it.
Champion Ball: I like the idea of a risk-reward system, but personally, I don't know jack squat about EVs and IVs, so I would never use this ball.
Earth Ball: Very thematic. It fits nicely with the Dive Ball and Net Ball. I will say, those two balls already have an increased rate of catching Water mons.
Evolution Ball: Once again, it's not that hard to catch low-level mons. Also, I don't think forced evolution is necessary unless you're catching a wild L100 or something.
Stand-Alone Ball: Another steroidal ball that's OP for catching Legendaries.
Alpha Ball: This is a good one. Similar to Heavy Ball. Heavy Ball is jank, but that's why I love it.
Brown Ball: Hello, I am currently 15 years old and I want to become a walrus.
Dawn Ball: Very fitting. I would use this.
Cursed Ball: More powerful Ultra Ball with a drawback that only affects the move Return. I'd use this ball.
Guardian Ball: Interesting idea. Don't like the 0.5 catch rate though.
Bullet Ball: Nice idea. I like it.
Lake Ball: Yeah, anime balls need to have some functionality in the games.
Weather Ball: Also a good idea.
Stats Ball: I really wish stand changes affect the catch rate in general. But if that never happens, this ball is a good idea.
Legend Ball: This better be rare, otherwise, Legendaries lose their status.
Ignition Ball: Russian Roulette
Random Ball: Regular Roulette
Reverse Ball: Nice idea. Not sure how effective it would be, but I like it.
Emergency Ball: I NEED THIS.
Gam Ball: I like the design, but the effect is Trubish.
Synchronize Ball: Weird but cool.
Retro Ball: Very cool idea. I'm very avid with nostalgia.
Dex Ball: Hmm. Not bad.
Union Ball: I would never use this.
Terrain Ball: Usefull. I really like the idea of changing colour.
Tarot Ball: Good idea. Fits in well alongside the Net Ball.
Rookie and Mature: Agreed.
Champion: Yeah, IVs and EVs are a bit unintuitive, but this would be a nice postgame ball for people to have access to.
Stand-Alone: Its 3x, so its the same capture rate as a lot of other balls. You could achieve the same effect with dusk balls or dawn balls to cover all bases. If anything it just means dusk and dawn are kinda too strong.
Cursed ball good point, friendship affects a few other things but not very impactful.
Guardian agreed, you get 1 shot so just bump it up to 1x.
Emergency Ball I like but I think it might be a bit OP. It seems too easy to just catch every legendary by only bringing in your emergency ball, and SRing when it fails.
I want a PokeBall that's good for catching fairy dark ghost psychic steel dragon poison ground rock normal types fighting or even electric
Awesome idea, only change I would make is to change the “after feinting” pokeball to a 1.0x chance, and it’s a one and done (you can use it once, if it breaks out, battle over). Could also call it a “Last Chance” ball
Also I could really use that Dex ball for my USUM playthroughs. Working on finishing the dex/catch the legendaries in there currently.
Yeah, I had the same idea with the Guardian Ball, it would be cool if your last chance is just a regular ball, nothing more, and only one
Ignition ball would make catching shines feel like a game of roulette
This was a great list! It would be cool to see some of these in a Pokemon game!
If dawn ball worked with Sunny day, that’d be cool
The emergency ball is my favorite, both in effect and design.
I want the Clone Ball from the Mewtwo movie and the Dark Ball from the Celebi movie to become real Poké Balls. Against a wild Pokémon, the Clone Ball will have the same catch rate as a regular Poké Ball. However, the Clone Ball is guaranteed to catch another trainer's Pokémon, but instead of literally just stealing it, it makes a clone of it, copying its moves and stats. The Dark Ball could just have an increased chance of catching Dark types, or it could automatically raise a Pokémon's attack and special attack when sent into battle but it will become confused. To make it fair, it won't work in online battles.
Dude, these PokeBall designs are sick
Some of my ideas:
- Common Ball: The higher the spawn rate of a Pokemon in a route, the more effective it is. x4 for 80-100%, x3 for 60-79%, x2 for 40-59%, x1 for 20-39%, 0.1 for less than 20%.
- Rare Ball: The exact opposite of the above; the catch rates are the same as above, but flipped, i.e. x0.1 for 80-100%, but x4 for Pokemon with a spawn rate of less than 20%. x1 for static overworld Pokemon.
- High-Risk Ball: x5 catch rate on a roaming Pokemon or a Pokemon that can flee from battle either due to a move it knows (such as Roar) or simply because it's programmed to flee. The catch is, it has only x1 catch rate if your Pokemon is a Ghost type, if it has an ability that would prevent fleeing like Magnet Pull or Arena Trap, or if you have used moves that prevent fleeing, such as Block or Mean Look.
- Superluck Ball: x1.5 catch rate, but if the wild Pokemon has the chance to hold an item, the chance to have that item is tripled if the Pokemon is caught with this ball. For example, a wild Pokemon that has a 5% chance to hold an item, will have this chance increased to 15%. 0.1 catch rate if the Pokemon is not programmed to hold an item or if you have used Switcheroo, Covet or Thief in battle, regardless if the Pokemon held an item or not.
- Spam Ball: Starts at 0.1 catch rate, but the stat keeps increasing by 0.1 for every consecutive turn you use the ball. For example, the catch rate at Turn 10 is x1, culminating at x5 at Turn 50 or more. Failing to use the ball at consecutive turns resets the counter. Additionally, there is a 5% chance that the counter during a turn is increased by 0.2 instead, a 1% chance that it is increased by 0.3, a 1/1000 chance that it increases by 1 and an extremely low chance of 1/10.000 that it instantly rises to x5. If used on a Legendary or Mythical Pokemon, it raises by 0.2 each turn standard, but the 1% chance or less than that effects may still happen/apply.
- Earthcrust Ball: x4 catch rate if used on a dual type Pokemon whose types are 2 of the following three: Rock, Ground or Steel (e.g. Geodude). x3 if used on a monotype that belongs to one of the above types (Roggenrolla). x2,5 if used on a dual type whose one type is one of the above, but the other is completely different (Archen). x1 otherwise. A whooping x5 catch rate if the Pokemon is a dualtype of Rock/Ground/Steel paired with Fire (e.g. Magcargo).
- Deep Ball: x3 catch rate if used on the seafloor or in subterranean caves and dungeons. x2.5 if used on caves, dungeons or buildings that don't have underground levels or if used on the first level of a cave, dungeon or building with underground floors. x1 otherwise.
- Dummy Ball: x0.1 catch rate, but raises the catch rate of the next ball you use by 1, provided you use it on the next turn. For example, a following Ultra Ball will have a catch rate of x3. A Pokemon caught with the Dummy Ball will have its friendship instantly maxed and all of its IVs will be set to the maximum value of 31 instantly upon capture.
- Status Ball: x2.5 catch rate if used on a Pokemon with a Status condition. If used on a healthy Pokemon, there is a 10% chance og inflicting a random status ailment upon that Pokemon.
- Gap Ball: The higher the discrepancy between a Pokemon's highest base stat and its lowest base stat, the higher the catch rate. The catch rate can vary between x1 minimum if used on a Pokemon with balanced stats, such as Mew, and x4 maximum if used on a Pokemon with a huge gap between its lowest and highest stats ( e.g. Shuckle or Chansey).
- Stage Ball: x1 if used on a first stage Pokemon, x2 if used on an evolved Pokemon that can evolve further, x3 if used on the third ecolutionary stage of a Pokemon. x4 if used on a Pokemon not a part of an evolutionary line. It will have to be very expensive or obtained in limited amounts for balancing purposes.
colour ball: has a 1x catch rate on anything, but when the pokemon is caught the pokeball changes colour to be the pokedex colour of the caught pokemon. if the pokemon is shiny it changes to the shiny's colour (though they would need to add pokedex colours for shinies)
in the end, everyone still uses a quick ball
Love these! Design wise, the Legend Ball is probavbly my favorite. Concept wise, I like the Wealth Ball cause its just so silly but also realistic.
I once came up with two pokeballs. One I imagined would be used by poor people and was meant to be a glitched/broken pokeball, like something salvaged from the trash. It looked like a damaged premiere ball with the glowing insides exposed in some places. The glimic was that it had the same catch rate as a normal pokeball, but pokemon caught it in would A-not gain frienship quickly and B-randomly switch out during battle, taking the place of whoever was on the field. So not really a ball anyone would want to use (unless doing a challenge run) but it had plot/culture reasons to exhist.
The second ball was used by cops. It was blue with gray "bars" on the top. This pokeball could not be used on legendaries but had a good catch rate and could be used on other trainers. The would only be one in the game, so it's kind of a cousin of the masterball.
The brown ball should have made the bidoof shiny, best iv’s, best ev’s and unable to evolve from its perfect state
these are really really amazing! the only thing i would change is make the tarot ball affect Dragon Types instead of Dark Types
