The property taxes on this property is 550K a year based on the county thinking it is worth 45 million. When you add property taxes plus maintenance and other carrying costs 2m plus a year to upkeep this property which is heavily mortgaged. Now that his income has drastically reduced he cannot afford to keep paying those hefty carrying costs but that does not mean he is broke enough to file bankruptcy.

As a lawyer, I can assure ppl that Diddy is paying not only for the personal attention of partners, but also for their staff of senior/junior attys, paralegals/legal assistants, office mgrs, IT experts, possibly corporate/int'l atty(s), legal/forensic accountants, legal e-doc reviewers, & more. Experts cost a fortune, as well.
Keep in mind that all of the above is in anticipation of federal charges. He can also be charged at the state level if he also broke state laws. Ppl assume that double jeopardy prevents being charged twice for the same crimes; however, state & federal are 2 different things. It's safe to assume that at least 3 states would possibly be involved, as 3 separate homes were raided in CA, FL, & NY.
In sum, it may be in Diddy's best interest to accept a plea deal. However, if the charges carry multiple mandatory sentences, that even if served concurrently would equate to essentially a life sentence, he may choose to take his chances in court. It depends on the evidence, & how strong of a case the feds have. Also, can he afford to go to trial, paying teams of ppl for possibly months, & w/no money coming in? I'm not surprised he's selling his house, but it does make you wonder about his financial situation. Is he or was he a billionaire? It'll be interesting to see if he sells off other assets.

As a paralegal I also know that teams of forensics/auditors would be ordered. Both the feds and state will be peeling back his tax and financials dating back years. The New York’s DA team has a high conviction rate. They will take their time and be thorough to before bringing a charge for RICO. A plea deal would make the most sense, well to most normal people. Also, if a potential case could be brought against him with an implication of murder for hire with Keefe’ D., he would do well to take a deal. Do you think that even with a deal his sons who are implicated could avoid being collateral damage?

Rather, this was an employee, who was working [allegedly] during the nighttime hrs, under circumstances that put her in physical danger. Therefore, respondeat superior becomes an issue bc she wasn't protected from clients using illicit drugs & engaging in debauchery, & Diddy [allegedly] booked the excursion, thus making him partially liable, as well. For those reasons, I assume the son would agree to a plea bargain, & possibly implicate others to reduce his sentence, ie whomever provided the illicit substances & səxworkers. Sev of Diddy's family members, including his sons, [allegedly] had property & businesses placed in their names, which also possibly implicates them in various crimes. We also don't know the extent of his sons' knowledge about other crimes, as well. It's no surprise that this is a RICO case considering how many ppl are potentially involved, & it's quite honestly a monster of a case! Even if Diddy was a CI, he can still be held legally responsible for anything he did that was unrelated to the investigations of others. In addition, sev agencies seem to be involved thus far, such as the DEA, IRS, ATF, etc. That's why Homeland Security was in charge of the raids bc it's the umbrella agency that encompasses all the rest. Can you imagine the cooperation that must be taking place among all of these agencies, as well as among the various specialties of attys that will be defending against them? This could be just the beginning if feds start scrutinizing everyone involved in the music industry!
