I can honestly say this show never had a filler episode, a drop in laughs or frayed away from what made it perfect. It was a perfect. I did enjoy the seriousness they went through too. Terry getting profiled. Captain Holt and Kevin’s ups a down you would see in a real marriage. Rosa losing touch with her parents but the crew coming over for game night was a feel good moment that I really enjoyed. Gina saying to Rosa that in another life they would have made a dope couple. The hardest was Jake and Amy trying to get pregnant episode. The end with the credits rolling and they still aren’t pregnant and the way they look at each other, I felt that. 10/10. I will always recommend this show. Every episode. Every season. Every joke.
That was perfect ending! I was so scared that there isn't gonna be the heist in this season, but here it is. Indeed the perfect goodbye to this amazing show - so many momentos, supporting characters, jokes and running gags, Gina's comeback and Hitchcock anticlimactic heist win... And an epilogue - them doing the heist every Halloween, and everyone returning to the precinct... So, what do I say in the end? - I say... Nine-nine! - NINE-NINE!!!
That was a really nice moment, yeah, I don't fully get what you mean about Amy liking people more than they like her as they all care about and value Amy a lot as Gina has moments of showing she cares, Amy's incredibly gorgeous, smart and talented, all her exes want to get back with her and Jake is SO unbelievably, incredibly all in, devoted and in love with her even after being beaten up and physically hurt by her and the coma and therapist tricks and is willing to give up everything while she gets to have family and a big promotion and live her dreams. Jake also always makes her feel incredibly loved and supported and prioritises her dreams, happiness and emotional wellbeing and is just the kindest and most loving and compassionate husband ever by far and cheers and hypes her up and supports and stands by her no matter what.
@@heatherstephenson3559 Sure she may have loyal and great friends, but that trauma of never being appreciated sticks to you - eventhough things are going well in your personal life. I didn't really think of it that way, yeah, I guess Gina could be quite unkind to her at times so that makes sense but I often wondered if Amy could be seen as not very relatable and almost intimidating on some level (not necessarily to me but I often felt a bit worse about myself with some of her scenes but I always really liked her and was very proud of her) as she's so successful, so loved, so intelligent and capable so I think any vulnerable moments were important and we could have maybe seen some more of that side but she's a brilliant character.
since I had low expectations, I think these 2 episodes were really well done. the so many throwbacks, comedy, twists, drama, just like jake said, it happened. I think this is probably the best ending, considering they only took 10 episodes to do it. even if the ending was anti-climactic with hitchcock winning, I understood the message they were trying to convey. the parallels and throwbacks are the best. at the end , when I saw charles next to that random guy after 1 year, I screamed "charles became the jake to that guy!" Also this is top 3 heist for sure. Poor hitchcock lol. the convo between jake and holt, amy and rosa and the hug hithcock gave scully, made me tear up.
I thought the last season was terrible to be honest, it felt like a different show. Even season 7 was a bit hit and miss. No I'm not crying, There was just a drop of water falling off my eyelids.
3:38 They are holding hands 🥺♥️
2:09 he said Jake's trigger word. Very fitting final talk. LOL
I remember my friends and I first watching this show back when it came out and we were in grade 6, now we're all in our first year of uni and it seemed fitting that our old chapter of life was closing and a new one took its place just like with the show
Good luck with uni!
I can't believe I didn't see Stephanie's huge pregnancy belly the first time I watched the episode! They did a great job covering it.
The final Holt and Peralta moment is perfection. Absolutely perfect.
We can all agree that terry looks damn good in his captain uniform
It really says something when every character on a show make it work so well to make an amazing show 👏
I love that unlike most other shows it ended with a scene that shows they found a way to stay in each other's lives even after everything changed. It really shows the importance of forming life-long friendships and staying touch even after your personal and professional lives change drastically. I freakin love this show❤ And I love that they ended it on such a positive note❤ I always hate last seasons and last episodes, but they did a awesome job with this one. B99 is officially my comfort show and the ending really solidified it! Nine-Nine❤
You can hear Amdre's voice crack when he says "proud"
Man, seeing that Andre Braugher's smile made my eyes sweat a little bit
99.
Best show I’ve ever seen, I was not expecting such a good ending
The Nine-Nine made me feel like I was part of them, that they were my friends. I will miss this show sooo much
THIS
Just finished the series. Brooklyn 99 was a gift to all of us and a blast from start to finish. I hope to return and watch this show for many, many more years to come. Nine Nine! ❤
I like that Jake and Holt managed to teach each other something and made them both better people
oh Captain our Captain
we love you holt ( R.I.P Andre Braugher)
Boyle growing into his own person and acting exactly how Jake did at the end was my second favourite part right below Holt and Jake's conversation.
Thank god they did this so perfectly, sentimental yet light hearted as the 99 always has been.
But just out of curiosity.
Can Jake rejoin the force after his kid starts going to pre-school or something? How does that work in America?
I’m pretty sure he could rejoin
As much as I would love to see him rejoin the force, that would screw up the ending.
He probably could considering he’s very close Holt who is the deputy commissioner
Or he could still stay at home and play video games
@@marksantiago9841 I mean training to beat Wario is a full time job.
Watched this back in Feb. 2020 and this emotionally hits hard. Goodbye Nine-Nine, Thank you for the laughs and joys you've given me.
I’m hoping they just do a 1 episode Halloween special every year!! I could live with that
They should do a Halloween special every year
Thank you Captain Holt, You were the best Captain and best Dad for the 99. 🙏
Thank you Andre Braugher, May he Rest In Peace. ❤
Fantastic end to a brilliant comedy series!! the conversation between holt and jake was emotional. thanks for the great jokes, the serious topics, and the great cast.
I love how in the end they finally got Gina in uniform. Aside from that, I find that this was the perfect way to end it.
Had a tear from start, to vital point where Holt said to jake im proud of you. Holy what a amazing ride. Gonna miss them so much. Great show
R.I.P Andre you were probably my favourite in the whole show I wish you peace 😊
I got so emotional I had to fight not to to cry, thank you cast and crew of Brooklyn nine nine for everything, NINE NINE!
If they ever make a comeback special of sorts, with a new halloween heist, i think Kevin should be the winner.
He deserves a vendetta.
"Meep morp.. zeep."
that line in that context made me cry
Rest in power, Captain Raymond Holt. Rewatching this after the news of Andre Braugher's passing.
That hair was working for Boyle. Like okay fine, he’s not what you’d imagine when you imagine a “sexy” man,(but it’s Boyle and given his sex life you know he is to the women he’s been with) but that hair suits him very well and he looks handsome
When Jake turn off that light, I was laughing while crying 😭😭😭
I was crying😭 this will forever be my comfort show...
NINE NINE
Honestly, I'd love a spinoff episode or two with 'old 99 vs new 99' with Charles and Terry playing with the new 99 just to see their dynamic.
But eh, it's more of a pipe dream. I'm happy that we got this beautiful ending anyway
4:30 this expression of Boyle is so cute
Goodbye Brooklyn nine nine thank you for the wonderful 8 seasons you gave us you made us laugh and cry you will always be the greatest show ever
Nine nine
The elevator closing part was soo nicely done... such a way to end the show..got tears in my eyes for sure...thank you to all involved in the show
