ICE Trains at 300 km/h (Nürnberg Ingolstadt Schnellfahrstrecke)

This station is situated on the Ingolstadt-Nuremberg High Speed line where trains power through this station at 300km/h. This video features a few ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE 3 and ICE 4 trains as well as an ICE T train, with speeds ranging from 230-300 km/h.
It was also freezing here (at least from an Australian perspective) at -2°C

Humans do not have a good impression of speed for things coming towards you. If you watch train videos where you see trains coming towards the camera and then going away, the going away always feels much faster.

Und die ICE 4er sehen aus wie 180😂

zwischen münchen und erfurt gibt es so einige abschnitte wo die ICE3 tatsächlich 299 fahren. Die ICE4 'nur' 250 weil das deren Höchstgeschwindigkeit ist (was ich nicht verstehe was die Bahn sich da gedacht hat den Nachfolger des 3er 50kmh langsamer zu machen).

Personally, I prefer the ICE 3 (403/406) trains. The fact that they're not just the fastest ICE but also the traction noises when accelerating makes them appealing

Ice 3 it’s comfy I made 5 or less videos and more about it the most hated one is ice 1 it’s uncomfortable I didn’t sleep well and it’s not fast

Are you sure? Cause I can't remember if it was the french train or the ICE. But they had a screen that showed the speed, it was going between 300 and 330kph.

The ICE3 is the fastest ICE train with a top speed of 330kph. Unfortunately the newer ICE4 is limited to 250kph.

@@stihlmsa200c-bq5 Ice 4 is limited because they only travel on certain routes. In Germany big city's are often really close together ( 50-100 km) so it would quite inefficient to travel much faster.

@@stihlmsa200c-bq5 The ICE4 is limited to 265kph but it is not a replacement for the ICE3. The ICE 4 replaces non-ICE trains and the ICE 1 and 2.
Deutsche Bahn just bought updated versions of the ICE3 for more high-speed tracks. Also the successor to the ICE 3 - which will be based on the Siemens Velaro Novo - will be capable of 350kph.
