🙏 your view has transformed me. Alllen watts has propounded somewhat same wisdom but in more sophisticated and philosophical language. You have struck my inner chord. Striping away of my ego is such a fascinating thing... things that used to cause reactions within me, when I experience them, it has almost become comical, like I'm discovering a new sense of humor about everything. I'm taking things a lot less seriously now and it's liberating.

Too much that is beyond my control. The forces are so strong and i am finding one particular individual living right next to me in such heavy dense vibration, displayed in his behaviour towards me. An elderly single female living on her own.
The duration of male family members being present, the tranformation to behaving all nice and quiet. Once gone home, the change is so drastic.

This is one of the best Eckhart Tolle talks I've heard in awhile. I have, literally, never been as happy and content with simply Being Alive as I have been since my death and rebirth. Having deactivated my egoic conditioned mind, I died, in a very significant way. I became nothing. No one. And, paradoxically, I have become everything, infinite. lol. And it's such a great place to live! I don't know sh_t, and yet I always know what to do. Everything gets done. Everything flows smoothly. And life has never been simpler.
For those who don't GET what this video is about, I hope you do. Not understand it but Realize it and learn to live this way. No Self. It's not as bad as it sounds. ;)

There's a beauty in not knowing, it is seen in the act of surrendering to life and allowing it to communicate through us. It is when we accept life, when we are most open to not knowing when we allow for the greatest change to occur.

The mind craves certainty about everything especially the future but also the past sometimes too, while we the beings are happy to accept what is and take life as it comes.
Knowing and accepting what neither you or anyone else can possibly know is both wisdom and freedom from the overthinking mind, the mind uses the imagination to fill in gaps and create stories to satisfy is own need to know the unknowable in a quest for certainty in an uncertain world.
Lucky for us we are not the mind so we are free to get on with enjoying this beautiful wonderful life while the mind cracks on with its never ending need to know everything, especially the unknowable 😊😊😊😊

I read something years ago that Ayn Rand paraphrased from an unknown greek author.
"I will not die, it's the world that will end."
It somehow comforted me and eventually led me to the realization of how little I or anyone else knows. The revelation felt like a fire of possibilities and helped to free me somewhat. Good luck on your journey.

@@xjmg007 I think you've hit the nail on the head, no one knows the answer to that and many other questions in life and personally I am very OK with that.
I think once you accept what neither you or anyone else can possibly know then there is nothing to think about, because thinking about something that is at this point in time unknowable to anyone is pretty pointless.

In my morning routine I do my breath-work, meditation and before I dive into the cold shower I do a visualization where I prepare a blak blackboard...erase it from everything I think I know and wipe that slate clean so that the day's lessons may be written upon me without prejudgment of what I think I knew. Money and things might be someone’s important part of their journey for their spiritual evolution. Going through life without understanding the reasons for suffering, in a very real way, has a possibility of building a weak foundation for a person’s growth.
Understanding suffering can teach you how to let go of it. We are here, at this stage, not only to love, but to advance in wisdom.

I've never feared or had fear when being in present state conciousness. I've always felt joy, bliss, and something else I don't have words for. It's just a type of relief. Tolle talks a lot about suffering propelling us to through spiritual evolution. My upbringing and subsequent life is a testament to such. I find relief and solace in present state conciousness that I seek it when I suffer the most.
I've felt fear of dissolving of my ego, just never when seeking of presence. I very much love all his views on life and the expression that resonates inside him 🥰

knowledge is relative, what you know in your field is way less than what you don't know in other fields, even less from what others know in your own field...
furthermore, what you know is coming from what you have been taught from your teachers and ancestors, and that can be right or wrong...
So you know literarily nothing, and knowing that is the real consciences...

Allowing oneself to be an instrument of peace, and a channel for the thoughts & wisdom of the Universe rather than thinking we ourselves own it, we own, nothing. The wiser and more mature we become the more we realise how little we know. And there in lies the truth, helping teach others how to think not training them what to think. And of course, if one only recalls what one needs to know and lets everything go day by day, when we do not recall much from yesterday, only that which we presently consciously choose to recall, the fear is then that apparently something is wrong, it is dimentia or alzheimer or senility...

    Not knowing = ignorant of.
I choose not to be ignorant.
Knowing that my inner strength is my only true strength.
But choosing to use my intellect to investigate the lies we are fed.
Using my inner strength to stand strong.
Whilst weaker people choose to find inner peace so they may escape from understanding the injustices being perpetrated.
Being silent is immoral. And being ignorant is no excuse.

I yearn for the day I can speak aloud w/o fear of rejection. I even have trouble talking to a camera. I had to stop tutoring becasue I was so worried they wouldn't understand the physics or chemistry concept that I clammed up (overfiring amygdala). strange, I know, but if i am to share my own physics theories alas i need notes. thank you for a wonderful talk.

Unaware, I’ve practice a form of this in my work.
Now I’ll incorporate it more strategically as a skill to enhance what I can provide for clients.

It''s a lot more subtle than that. It's called contemplation where you use words and concepts to try to understand the meaning of words and concepts. It's the source of the Socratic dialectic of answering questions by asking questions to make the asker contemplate the meaning of what he is asking. Plato's syllogism is the foundation of formal logic. Do you know the difference between "nothing" and "no thing"? Eventually you come to directly realize that the words are not the thing, which may be beyond words. But if you contemplate the words become like a finger pointing at the object that is beyond words.
What is the most important step that determines the success or failure of any journey? It is to turn and face the right direction, which is what contemplation using the syllogism and dialectic help you do.

I really don't get why some people use the comments to complain about Eckhart's earnings and to belittle what he offers.
If they don't like him or what he offers why even bother watching him? I find it pretty ironic really as they are probably the very people who would get most out of what he offers for free 😊
As Eckhart says, People really do look for reasons to be offended sometimes ☺️☺️☺️

Not knowing is not necessarily a form of wisdom. Knowing something doesn't depend on us but on God who reveals all knowledge.
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6 KJV)
