@@Dearlybethany I agree! I loved this! We have nearly the same measurements. I'd love to also see Madewell Curvy & Everlane Curvy styles before taking a leap. Seeking everyday staple denim to quickly pull minimal outfits together, but flattering! It can be a challenge to find the perfect go to's for us pear-shaped, petite gals! Love your channel :)
It's so annoying that Agolde does not have sizing charts on their website. I emailed them about sizing info for some of the jeans. Let's see if they get back to me :) I would love to see Levi's next!
Here’s my theory with Agolde, the 90s fit jean is actually meant to be very loose like the grunge Nirvana era, which means technically you’re supposed to size up 1-2 sizes so that they are baggy at the crotch and cling to your hips so that you could see your Calvin Klein underwear lol. But because most girls have hips and of course nowadays we like things snug at the waist it makes getting these jeans to fit very tricky. If your hips are wider than your waist you either need to decide if you want these to fit grungy and loose or high and snug. And either you’ll have to go two sizes down or two sizes up depending on the look you want. But if your waist to hip ratio isn’t that big then these will fit you much more easily. Hope that helps ❤️
Danielle Cox I agree, those jeans are just huge. My waist is 25-26, got them a 25 without doing research and they were about 4 inches too big. Got a 24, and they fit just as big. I think if I have gotten a 23, they would still be too big. I was so bummed until I tried putting them in the dryer on high to see if they would shrink. Luckily they did but the waist is just very slightly big, cant wear them with my ab skin showing or you'll be able to tell. I dont understand how they look so snug on this girl, she looks about as skinny as me. They were definitely designed to wear around the hips, having the crotch baggy and length longer as well so they can bag up. But they are amazing.. theyre so soft and comfortable!!
Great, great series!! My favorite one so far as a jean enthusiastic and fellow petit/thin woman. You made my day. I'd like to have you review jeans from Anine Bing, Re/Done, Citizens of Humanity, Frame, Levi's or any other brand you can/want. Thanks for this! Seriously.
You are a saint for all the curvy/pear shaped petite ladies in the world!! It’s soooo hard for me to find jeans that fit so I’m happy you posted this :D
I love this series! Jeans are one of the hardest items to pin down for a classic wardrobe piece. It's nice to finally see a petite person providing options! Thank you!
Keep the Riley’s!! I have a 13 inch difference between my waist and my hips, and I own several Riley’s. Buy them a size up and get them tailored at the waist, they are a dream and look so good on you!!
i FINALLY found someone who has the same body type and height as me (5"0 with longer torso) BUYING JEANS HAS BEEN AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND IM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS VIDEO thank you Bethany so so so so much
Would love to see you do more of these! I’m almost the exact same measurements as you and have such a hard time finding jeans 😭 seeing you test at more brands would be a huge help!
I feel you! Jean shopping is so hard. Finding jeans that fit my butt and hips always gape at the bottom of my back unless they're stretch jeans. And being a petite, the back pockets usually sit in a strange position which makes things look "droopy"! The search continues...
I am so glad that I found you! I wear a 4-6 in most pants and I'm also 5'1" with a 10.5" waist to hip difference, but my torso is shorter than my legs. This is soooo helpful!!!!
I loved the video very informative also . I love the fact that you pay a lot of attention to quality of the fabric .however most fabrics are quite difficult to be taken care of which is why I’d would love to see a video of you maybe explaining how you take care of your clothes (especially washing cashmere sweaters, silk blouses , stretchy jeans etc ) . Lots of love ! 💕
I understand the struggle, we have very similar bodies and height and it’s so difficult to have a good idea of what something would look like on me while watching the average style UA-cam channel. Thank you so much
Thanks Bethany! This video was so helpful especially at the moment when we can't go out to shops to physical try on things before purchasing. I'm finding your videos so motivational to make me get dressed up for working from home and look nice for myself even though I'm inside all day. Hope you and you family are all staying safe and well.
The struggle is real. I'm 5'1" and pear shaped as well. My thighs and calves are on the bigger side so personally, anything with elastane in them is godsend. These jeans look really fantastic on you! Love this sort of videos... I really like your classic monochrome style. All this time I've been wearing a whole lot of black, but since I watched your videos, I've added a few beige and browns as well. They're just so versatile.
Yes please keep sharing about jeans and different brands! I’m currently seeking out the same, a great pair that fits my body. Maybe you could include different price points as well? Thank you so much for doing this video.
I am excited to watch video! I prefer to do shopping in stores, I don’t really like buying online. So I am looking forward when I finally will be able to do it )) Thank you for inspiration ❤️
I am also 5'1" with a long torso and shorter legs. I like to get a straight leg in a dark wash with a mid-rise and 2% lycra in a petite size. I have found a classic cut called the "Marilyn" style in NYDJ and French Dressing (Canadian brand) to be very flattering. This style won a contest a few years ago as the most flattering jean for a wide variety of body types. Classic Levis are also a favorite of mine. Also, a longer length that goes over my ankle booties are necessary for colder weather. Good luck in your search!
Hi Bethany, I’m not someone who ever makes public comments, but I am so excited that you’re venturing into other brands. It just gives your followers and viewers a wider selection of designers to choose from. I loved the jeans by Agolde on you, and because I’m a petit and pear shaped, I will definitely try this brand. ❤️ Can you also do a try on haul for Mother Jeans, AG, Girlfriend and Citizen of Humanity? It just makes my day to watch your hauls. ❤️❤️
Just discovered your channel and omg you are a godsend. Your reviews are so thorough and helpful. Finding jeans that fit for women with a 10+ waist to hip difference is a constant struggle with online shopping. And thank you for timestamping.
I need just a little bit of stretch in my jeans because I use them so much and I need them to be comfy! I always tailor my jeans myself - taking in the waist or bringing up the hem; it's really easy!
Please do this with more brands!! I am 68 cm x 93 cm so very similar! I almost always have the problem you have with the first trousers where for the hips to fit, the waist is free floating and I hate that! I used to tailor them but I have decided not to do that anymore and look for brand that really accommodate my body type because I find it infuriating how many brands make jeans just for stick bodies. I have found some jeans that truly fit me since then! Last point, it would be really helpful if you could also film a small part with the jeans rolled up to your ankle, since you can't shorten them for now. This way we get also an idea how they would look shorter! Thanks for doing this! You are definitely the only UA-camr that inspired me to work on my wardrobe and my style and I think it makes a difference!!! Keep it up

Thank you so much for this video bethany! Jeans shopping for petites is really a struggle And is think almost every pair of jeans would fit you nice, you have such a beautiful posture and bodyshape❤️
Love. I own the zephyr and I sized up. They wear in quick and are comfy after that. Love seeing the different pairs, since we similar body type. My legs I think at shorter than yours by maybe an inch, and I am 5”3. Which is crazy. So my torso is long
The jeans with the holes in them look AMAZING on your body. I can hardly tell you’re a pear! Your upper half and lower half look so pleasing and symmetrical. Love love! Plus you NEVER style ripped denim. Ripped denim is so beautiful 😻 Love! It’s a hint of edge paired with your classic sophisticated look is a beautiful juxtaposition. Do it do it
Not sure how I missed seeing this video when it came out, but watched today. I love all the details and work you put into this! and would really enjoy seeing you do this with other brands.
I’m 5’2” and pear shaped and I’ve found that only jeans marketed as “curvy” & “petite” are even worth trying on now. My favorite jeans right now are the Madewell Curvy High Rise & American Eagle Curvy Mom Jean. The Madewell comes in petite and I just cuff the other. Hope this helps someone in need!

I find that 26-27” inseam jeans work for me (perfectly full-length on me) and once actually on me, they fit my 24” inseam without bunching up at all at the bottom. I picked my Rag&Bone jeans because they fit my criteria of being at least 9.75” high rise/high waisted jeans and 100% Japanese denim (composition: 98% cotton, 2% polyurethane). I love structured denim jeans - it’s a lil bit tougher but later become super worn in and soft on me, compared to a Turkish or Japanese stretch denim (or comfy jegging) that over time bag out and lose its shape. you have to try their cropped versions! the Riley is great and I wish you kept them! With 100% cotton I always suggest always sizing down because the jeans do stretch and "wear-in" overtime. I was hoping that the Ren jean was going to be reviewed since I just ordered a pair to try. :)
This was fantastic. Thank you! I’m 5’4, hourglass figure and wear a size 23/24 Jean. This is so helpful ! I would love to see madewell and Levi’s reviewed !!!!
That's it, I am sold with the 90's pair with holes in the knees. You looked super nice in them!!! Thanks for this video, I love Agolde jeans, my favourite pair that I owned is Riley with 100% organic cotton. Please do a Levis version, please!!! X
i have been trying to find the perfect jean! so difficult to do but i’m glad you’re a great reference since our body shape is similar!! very helpful video 🥰

I love skirts, could you please do a video on it? Especially midi skirt styles. Thanks in advance
I hope you have an amazing weekend Bethany!! Seeing your channel notifications always brightens my day ♥️💗

Please try the “cropped” jeans from Reformation. I would love to see how they look on you before I try them for myself.

This video was so helpful. I got the nicos in a 23 and they are perfect ! I’m 5’3 105 pounds. Perfect inseam too. Love them to death!
Thanks for the sharing. As a jeans manufacture, I think we really need voices from every jeans lover.
