We set out to a river in East Tennessee to do some prospecting. After a month of dialing in our sluice and perfecting our panning techniques, we get lucky and strike gold on our very first outing!
Coker Creek is in east tennessee, theirs gold their in those streams/creeks.... is this where you guys prospected?
Good to know about the riffles! I noticed a lot of build up behind them, I'm gonna try without them next time probably a lot less big crap too

Probably Coker creek ,it was one of the highest gold producing rivers back in the day ,1800's late 18's
It’s little river, Coker creek doesn’t have this kinda flow
i been having luck with black sands out of the clinch river , and also in the lower part of norris damn, on the bottom, first crook.
I live literally walking distance to clinch river in Clinton!!
Where are you finding gold in TN? I live up in the northeast part of TN and have a creek near my house and I don't think no one has ever panned there. The creek runs out of North Carolina. I have found alot of quartz rocks and thinking maybe there could be gold there but not sure.

@@RECOVEREDVIDEO I'm going to make a hand dredge and check it out. We also have spring water and I have found alot of Milky quartz near it. Took a ace Garrett 250 metal detector up there but didn't really pick up anything. Which I was told I needed a ace at gold detector.

I live in East Tennessee and have a very hard time finding gold. I am super glad to see that it is actually somewhere around. That looks alot like the river leading into Townsend and the Smokey mountains.
It is Little river, and people say they do find gold there! We find it in Polk county as well!
What do you think about useing a metal detector to find areas to dig do you think it would help for finding good material to run through a pan or sluice box

Gold has been found in telico and coker for decades. You guys are literally the last East Tennessee prospectors to find that out. LOL Come find gold in Northeast Tennessee and then I'll be impressed.
I agree...im in the newport/cosby area bout 30-45 mins from gatlinburg.. here the gold IF you get lucky enough is so small that itd take all day to find a gram lol..but wishful thinking anyways...how close would you be to my location?
Do you pan or prospect any? I know its few and far between here in ne TN but still dont detur me from hoping to accidently stumble upon a unkown bearing creek while out in these mountains...not likely but hey im walking anyways might as well carry my pan with me just in case...how close are you to the newport/cosby area?
