Warning: This is The Jerseyville Cartel. Visiting this town will get you arrested simply because they do not know you, because they don't like your hairstyle, or for simply walking down the street. I owned a tavern there for 22 years (since 1995) and still own property there. My employees and I were continuously harassed, falsely arrested, forcibly evicted, and Roger Holyfield's stepmother was my employee when Roger was killed by local cops for carrying a Bible on a local public sidewalk. I closed my business permanently after the police chief set up a bomb threat to search my business because he could not get a warrant and set up a blacked-out police car from Missouri to park behind me at night so that I would hit it when backing out. That was a murder attempt. I refused to sell their drugs and they did not like it. Over 50% of that town is addicted to hard drugs. Believe me, you want no part of this town.
can you please further explain. i’m from jerseyville and had heard none of this edit: wait hang on what place did you own? i’m trying to think of who closed around that time
@@idekanymore324 trackside lounge Jvl lives on rumors and the damage it does is devastating. I never allowed drugs on the property but the rumors made us out to be a drug den. We were not the place to worry about. The one that had naked bartenders is.

Should visit the spot on State Street where Roger Holyfield was killed by the Jerseyville Police
