  • Shane Van Boening vs Mika Immonen in a clash of champions on day three at the 2019 International 9-Ball Open.
    Neither players really need an introduction here. Between them, they own seven US Open 9-Ball Titles, seven Derby City Classic 9-Ball Titles, seven Turning Stone titles and 27 appearances at the Mosconi Cup.
    Immonen is in the BCA Hall of Fame and Van Boening will certainly be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
    This was winners side, race to 11, winner breaks.
    Mark Wilson and Danny Diliberto call all of the action.

      NO ONE SAID ANYTHING, Play callers thought he missed it, the official, or anyone Bleepin fan from the stands - he was cheated clearly. goto 1:15:19 sec mark, the ball actually shimmered moved. it's not the point Shane was winning. that could have affected the entire ending... I then combed the comments section to see if anyone else saw that too...

    I think that Shane probably scratched more on the break in this one set than the entire tournament of course besides that he played immaculate as always mika as well probably had more illegal breaks in this set than the entire tournament for some reason they both were having issues with the break

    The non compliant break is just, dumb. I get it, they don't want deuel to cheat with his soft break but at that point just put a radar gun on it, 18mph minimum or something. Getting three balls above the headstring has nothing to do with how hard you're hitting the break.....

    • @trentonsellers7600
      @trentonsellers7600 8 місяців тому +1

      It's not only due to the soft break it's due to alot of factors such as more competitive play, more unpredictable layouts and breaking in general, I mean these guys have mastered the break almost to perfection it was definitely time to change it to give everyone a fair fight and test these players immensely because it just got way to predictable, and yes of course the soft break, the players voted for this rule along with the new breaking rule implemented in 2023.
