The final round robin match from the 2016 Accu-Stats Make It Happen 8-Ball Invitational was another match in the Jayson Shaw/Shane Van Boening rivalry. The winner would advance to the finals, and the loser of the match could still advance if they won enough racks in this match.
Shaw was coming off a win at the International Challenge of Champions and getting ready for his first Mosconi Cup appearance.
Van Boening had recently won his fifth US Open 9-Ball Title.
This was 8-ball, race to 10, alternating break.

I just recently started playing pool and watching Shane is something special. Wish I would’ve started younger to have seen him play more. Luckily theres a lot of Shane’s matches on UA-cam and feel beyond blessed to be able to witness some of his greatness. Seems like a very good human being based on what i have seen Oman’s heard of him. Knowing a little bit of his background im very happy he got to where he’s gotten getting through the obstacles in life his had to go through.
Im 28 years old. Started playing 2/3 months ago and have noticed some improvement in my game and This is thanks to Shane. The cue control this man has is second to none. 🐐

I wish I would’ve started at 28 instead of 40 lol Practice practice practice and surround yourself with good players that are honest. I went from an apa 2 to an apa 6 in a year, just have to have perseverance and dedication.
