DUDE, Thank you so much for this video. I was digging everywhere for this exact answer. The PAR and PPF rating is the difference between normal led light bulbs and grow lights. All other videos and websites kept saying it's more "powerful" and it has a "balanced spectrum." But like what spectrum do normal LED lights have? What numerical comparison am I looking to compare. What makes a grow light considered a grow light, "It promotes plant growth." Like, YEAH HOW????
i need a short answer im dum i have led light strip that you use on ur room to decorate do those work? if I have them close enough ? i need a yes or no answer or if it isn't that easy give me a explanation for dum me
@@bernardoapostolopoulos4303 I just put them in my greenhouse under the shelves for the night time. We have very little sunshine here so using these really helps.
@@bernardoapostolopoulos4303 The wattage shouldn't matter ^^ I'm an electrical engineer and checking with a light meter I get better results with the standard white LEDs than I do with a grow lamp. Very odd. This might just be one of those products that are a complete rip off.
Before I sound like a complete dunce, I did actually graduate high school, but you seem like an intelligent person based on this video so I have a question: Can you use candles for plant growth?
Grow lights are bult different from orhwr lights.. The amount of res to blue or just blue or just red .. Eithwr way plants love eithwr blue or red lights.. But the combo of both is want they theive off.. I recently bought a led grow light and it helps the plant better than any light beside the sun

All this talk of power efficiency to PAR is irrelevant. If you spend $700 on a light that is maybe 10-20% more efficient than a $15 led shop light, your grandchildren will realize the long term cost "savings". It's silly.
Your using a blurple, and telling people that the cant use just any leds, when will people who don't know what they are talking about, stop making youtube videos.
Sooo basically, you are explaining to us for 16 minutes that grow lights are better then regular lights for plant growth... wow, I mean... thank you... I didn't know that. You should've instead show us how to use regular lights and spend 5 times less money ad beginners... but no, you were making a commercial for grow lights...
Depenfs what yuo are gone grwos , diferent plants have diferent needs , as an example there are planyñts that need a lots of litgh like Canabis and other that grow well with lityle intensity litgh like lettuce , read more and remember the 1gr /1 watts rule (thats the best for "not good" led) fir cannabis , but very good leds can give yuo about 2 grams per watt, good luck
Wait... this is the Epic Gardening Guy.... Was LITERALLY just watching some of his videos while shopping for grow lights...
Wild...
Ikr...i thought the same thing. Hey i know this guy 😂
Thanks mate , the most sensible explanation of a hard subject. I'm getting a PPFD meter & app now , sick of being ripped from being uneducated.
No mention light 'Intensity' which is what you get from H.I.D.s hence the name 'HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE.'
Thank you for sharing with us your answer about what type of led light should you grow plants with you are truly awesome and wonderful ^^
Hai bro what colour you using for for grow light

No. It’s not the same power
Can you use the blue or purple string lights, like the Christmas string lights?
$10 white light LED strip light grew my plants better than an expensive coloured grow light, um. Are grow lights a rip off?
I am thinking of using the same. How did you place them?

I’m sorry but is there anyway you can make that more more more simpler like can you use regular lights LED lights to grow plants (lettuces)
Like the ones I use in my house, they are LED general purpose 75 watts. Anything like that other than grow lights.

This is normal now. There are guru courses where people just rip off other people's content and regurgitate it. Income school does this.

Yep. A shop light that is 4 foot across with a plain LED system that is 5k Lumens at 5000 Kelvin "Daylight" is all you need.
I can't find anything on the Cync by GE bulbs does anyone know?
Do I have to use plant food or chemicals in my water when I use grow lights
Yes
Can you put plants, that were started indoors, outside.
Yes
You have to ease them into it tho or your plants could get heat damaged.
