I'm not a great fan of gold on watches but the Rolex DD is so good that I've talked to my AD about buying one at some point. This one (or its current equivalent if I buy new) is what I have in mind. Prefer the 36mm watches.

I just got myself a 118238 Yellow gold , just like this one but in a Silver Dial . 36 and feels very good .

@@prashantchutke5521 Nice, I like silver dials on DDs. I bought a 16233 DJ36 recently but still have a DD36 on my list. I'm leaning towards a 18238 now as the used prices are so much lower than new.

@@jasons46 in year 2000 , I bought my first Rolex - Date just 36, SS with white gold fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. I traded that and purchased a Submariner date - Two tone yellow gold black dial . At that time I thought the yellow gold was too flashy . I traded that in and bought a Patek 5196P which is not much on the wrist unless special formal events . I wanted some gold again since now I am old and don't mind to be a bit flashy , so I got a DayDate yellow gold . And yes , I am happy with the size 36 and not the 41(doesn't look classy or elegant- unless one has a really really big wrist) Good luck with watches .
