the vintage 36mm day/date is, to me, the quintessential Rolex. Even more than the Sub. When I knew nothing of watches, I knew the Day/Date screamed "class".
I own a yellow-gold day-date with the bark finish on the center links of the bracelet and bezel. When the light hits the center links at just the right angle it seems to light up like fire. Pictures don't do it justice. As a retiree, the days of the week all seem to blend together. Every day is a weekend. For that reason, I have a use for knowing which day of the week it is. I wear mine daily. I agree that the bracelet is a work of beauty.
it seems like the oyster bracelet would accentuate the fluted bezel much more nicely. The jubilee bracelet and the fluted bezel just seen too much over the top.
The best stealthy wealthy DD is the Smooth Bezel 36mm Platinum Day Date with lumed stick hands and markers. It just looks like any steel sports watch. That’s what I would go with after a classic yellow gold DD.
I have an 18038 that I love a lot. But I did have an 18039 (white gold) which you desire. I wasn’t really happy with it. Outdoors you could easily notice the top layer being worn off in places, and underneath a more yellowy metal made its presence known. Made it look cheap.
Once I didn't like them. When I bought mine; 36mm champagne face double quick set; I liked the look. After a week or more I realised it was better than I expected. The fit and feel, the movement all class. Very pleased with it, very.
@@donkremer6019 when you gotta hate on others and put them down it’s evidence of your own insecurities, you won’t amount to much with an attitude like that
Question, so I have a datejust. Would it be weird to have a presidential bracelet on it. I currently have a jubilee, and my datejust is a silver dial, stainless steel case, and white gold bezel.
Enjoyed the Intro. A return to the style from your early work as T3, but more refined and classic. If I have a hankering to obtain a Rolex Day-Date reference, the 36mm in white gold would be my ultimate choice.
Nice video and great intro. Just a quick question, since I bought the same reference watch: are the date and day disks on your watch white or cream? Mine are white and I am wondering if this is original or has been redone in the past (serial number places my watch in late 79)...
It’s an Timeless peace! The watch wears so soft an powerful as well. I totally agree your opinion. I’ve the 18238 with a black pyramid dial. I totally love it and will never give it away. Keep goin’ with ya vids. I really like your content.
Either from an A.D. or a second wrist dealer. I'm not saying you can't get one from the grey market, it's just I haven't seen one on the grey market and that's because I don't look for them there. As for thr price, well let's just say they are north of $30k depending on your configuration. Hit up Rolex.com for the MSRP if you are really interested.
The watch is great piece . Size is perfect and it seems that it wears larger than a 36 mm. Love the review. Didn’t really like the intro but if you had fun! Enjoy it .
Can’t really be called the president if it doesn’t have the President bracelet with the hidden clasp. Those are worth way more from a collector’s perspective 👏
Great video! I actually wear my Day Date 18038 more often then my Rolesor Daytona from 2019. It is just the perfect watch to me. Going to trade in the daytona for the solid gold daytona soon👍🏻
on the Thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheo and Harris channel, one of the recent videos was a Q and A, and the girl (i forgot her name) said "you dont get a rolex day date unless its on the president braclet"
Like you I'm also a jeans and t-shirt kind of a guy that likes the Sopranos and Akira - the grandfather of all anime and a badass movie with a preference for my dive watches and I hate dressing up, but when I do something like the presidential 2 is my go-to 😀
That band is what does it for me!! The play with brushed finish to polished center links just POP!!!! See it for 50ft away and say!!! Damn!! Thats a Prez👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽😎😎😎⌚️⌚️⌚️
Great Video T3!! Love the xtra content. Love the watch buy way to small for me & not my style. But I definitely would make an exception for the white gold Rolex ✌️
My first Rolex but worn very little now. Stands out to much. If I do wear it, definitely only under a shirt. I've had a couple of occasions it came close to getting me in trouble. It's a sad world.
I was in two minds before I bought one. After a little while it got better and better. It "wants" to be worn. I wear it and if they don't like it they obviously don't have one.
Jory...Mi fa molto piacere vedere questo video! Don Sinacci APPROVED! 💪😎👍
What is the price?

I applaud the effort that went into the intro skit!
👍👍👍

For sure, the only Rolex you need, the best in the game
18238
My dad wore his everyday president with bark finish for 40+ years, jean and polo kind of guy, and now i have it and im the same way. Great watch.
This watch should always be worn with an Adidas tracksuit.
My grandfather has one of these and that’s exactly what he does, except the tracksuit is velour of course
The rise in quality and effort has been awesome, keep it up!
I literally just saw a gentleman with a solid gold rolex president at lunch today, wearing casual clothes and all. He totally pulled it off.

If I had that Rolex I wouldn’t take it off until my funeral🤣
That one will be my one and only watch period.
Daily wear
I own a day- date President. Made in 1967. I wear it everyday, and love it! Wouldn’t trade it for anything. Enjoy yours! Matt👌😜👍
36 mm white gold......hell yes I would wear that!!
Thank you for asking. I would go for the Day Date II in 18K yellow gold, because it is absolutely outrageously flamboyant.
I've seen a few guys wearing it, it looked really stupid on them, but it does look nice if you have style and bigger fella
41mm? Gorgeous
I agree w/your rule of thumb regarding jubilee-fluted bezel, oyster-smooth...
it seems like the oyster bracelet would accentuate the fluted bezel much more nicely. The jubilee bracelet and the fluted bezel just seen too much over the top.
I've got mine now, wanted it since i was about 10 (38 now)
A white gold or platinum + G-shock is probably best two watch collection
The best stealthy wealthy DD is the Smooth Bezel 36mm Platinum Day Date with lumed stick hands and markers. It just looks like any steel sports watch. That’s what I would go with after a classic yellow gold DD.
I prefer the 36mm white gold president. I wear it with a grey stingray strap. Luv it!
I have the 1803 36mm and it’s my daily wear love it.
I've myself and it's so beautiful.
I have an 18038 that I love a lot. But I did have an 18039 (white gold) which you desire. I wasn’t really happy with it. Outdoors you could easily notice the top layer being worn off in places, and underneath a more yellowy metal made its presence known. Made it look cheap.
My grail. But in dd40. Almost 70 years of excellence
The 18238 was my grail watch. I was finally in a position to get one a couple of months ago. Videos and Photos can never do it justice.

What about the quartz day date?
Yes! An Oysterquartz is on my wishlist!
I'd love a solid yellow gold 36mm Rolex President, and yeah, every freaking day.
Own it, wear it, love it! Nothing else will do, for me! 18k yellow gold, day/date 36mm President is a classic beauty! 😍👌🏼
Congratulations on getting Scorsese to direct your review intro! Glad to have you back!
😂🙏🙏🙏
Love the President! I would definitely love it in white gold. Ironically, I'm wearing my Orient president today because I could afford it LOL!
How about DD40 Everose. Rose gold. Hottttt. As it has platinum in it to hold the color
How mush is it?
I wonder what Rolex would charge if they made a steel Day-Date.
It's kind of irrelevant, as you wouldn't be able to get one.
@@donkremer6019 you must be very frustrated
Probably a little more than a steel datejust 🤷♂️
@@EmpireStateStudios easy standard troll reaction? I made a factual correct statement. That's all.

Do you know the value of that year and model Rolex with all paperwork?
What wrist size do you have?
Question, so I have a datejust. Would it be weird to have a presidential bracelet on it. I currently have a jubilee, and my datejust is a silver dial, stainless steel case, and white gold bezel.
if you out it on a weight scale what weight in grams down the whole watch is please ?
What a stud, he threw that body in the dumpster like it was just cardboard shaped like a body wrapped in plastic.
Lifting weights and eating steaks! (Pizza)
What is circa ? Thanks bro ❤️
Was it 1803 or it 1803 models?
Surely you’d wear your best suit with that watch, to impress Dr. Melfi.
Enjoyed the Intro. A return to the style from your early work as T3, but more refined and classic.
If I have a hankering to obtain a Rolex Day-Date reference, the 36mm in white gold would be my ultimate choice.
Thanks, Uncle Reed!
the DD 40 mm is a worthy successor. Do a review with a 228238. I would be interested to know how you feel about it when you feel it on your wrist.
Great video.... by far the most legendary Rolex!
Nice video and great intro. Just a quick question, since I bought the same reference watch: are the date and day disks on your watch white or cream? Mine are white and I am wondering if this is original or has been redone in the past (serial number places my watch in late 79)...
I agree with wearing something like that with literally anything. Its about wearing something u enjoy, not matching with your new fancy shoes
Hi, what do you think about the new daydates 36?
Somehow I really like the GMT with the jubilee bracelet

I am in no way related to Papa John
Prove it.

I have a 36mm Day-Date! 75 Yellow g. I am sure you like 36mm more than 40; am I right?
The effort put into that into! Exceptional 😂 great review too
My stepfather has this same model and it's gorgeous. You better believe I ask him if I can wear that beauty every once in a while!
Oh the mandolin method acting is da best! Thanks
Awesome watch, I really like the white Gold one more, and the platinum even more :D
Nothing beats a 36mm El Presidente.
I've seen two of these in the wild and they are just so nice. If I could afford only one Rolex it would definitely be this watch.
You will brother just save and find a good deal, I just ordered one should be here by weekend hopefully.
I’ve had a two tone 80’s datejust that is equally wearable as this datejust. Tees or suits.
This is a Day-Date. Similar, but different.
I have an 80's Datejust on an oyster. Feels flimsy and I hate the fricking thing. No comparison !
Great work. Keep things like this coming. Loved it.
I can only confirm that. Since I have my DD40, it has literally stuck to my arm. Great feeling
Where can I buy one, and around how much is it worth?

The watch is great piece . Size is perfect and it seems that it wears larger than a 36 mm. Love the review. Didn’t really like the intro but if you had fun! Enjoy it .
You might as well go all in with the platinum Day Date. It's the best Rolex from a purely jewelry standpoint.

Incredible. I think this is the perfect size! ❤
How do you feel about the "orient presidente"
Great video! I actually wear my Day Date 18038 more often then my Rolesor Daytona from 2019. It is just the perfect watch to me. Going to trade in the daytona for the solid gold daytona soon👍🏻
My favorite Rolex! Did you buy that for yourself? Was it sent in for review? Is it available on the shop? If you mentioned that I missed it.

Cool Omega... but not quite comparable to this one. 🤣👍
The solid gold Day Date is robust enough to wear it every day.
Being Italian I am feeling very very offended by this video, that pizza does not look "authentic"!

Tank you for such an entertaining video. And yes I do love the presidential day date.

Although I'm a Submariner-type person, I'll take the gold President in a heartbeat.
