This is actually so suited for Loki. I love how well the lyrics explain the views of himself and perhaps the others of Asgard, (Excluding Thor, Odin, etc.) I also feel that even though Loki has done little good, he would feel remorse for his wrongs and would want to change them. The only reason he hasn't is because he knows he's too far gone to turn back, atleast that is what I suspect.

Loki is just a young god trying to move out of his brothers shadow, trying to make his father proud. But then when he was still compared to Thor he sort of lost it and decided to do something, to get his fathers attention in a way Thor never would/could. I don't think he is "evil" in the Avengers, I think he's been highly corrupted by the Tesseract and I'm really not sure he would have gone as far as he did without its corruption. Lets face it though, nobody hates Loki as much as Loki does.
It's more of the Mind stone corrupting him not the tesseract because the way that the mind stone controlled Erik and Clint it controlled Loki as well but he never knew it controlled him too.
This is the most beautiful thing I've seen all night. What really makes me sad is that Loki was trying so hard to be Odin's favorite that he completely missed the fact that he was Thor's favorite. >.< Anyway, this song is by far the most fitting I've ever found for Loki. This really broke my heart. The song fits so perfectly to him. I think he's one of the most dramatic characters and Tom Hiddleston did a great job bringing him to life. The scene where the truth is revealed to him by Odin ... the way he looks at him and you can just see his pain ... breaks my heart every time.
My heart is in metaphorical pieces on the floor. Good job! Very fitting too, Loki acted that way because he was hurt, betrayed in his mind. He had always been shoved aside for his brother, and he was strong enough to still love Thor. He reacted with anger to conceal his hurt and save his pride.

But after a point I personally couldn't help but feel like Loki was being a jealous crybaby and holding the biggest grudge in the universe. He was always jealous of Thor and took his birthright as an excuse to blame Odin for favoring Thor but the truth of it was Thor was the eldest son, so he was next in line to be king. After he discovered the truth of his origins both Odin and Thor expressed multiple times that they still loved him like a son/brother and Loki blatantly refused to believe it. The only person Loki still held any shred of affection for was his mother, and even that he kept hidden until he got news of her death and destroyed everything in his prison cell lol

In fact in the original Norse myths Loki was always known to be a Jotunn(Giant) and though accepted, his love of trickery lead him to inadvertently killing Balder, Norse God of Light, which lead to him being severely punished. He vowed to break free and set about Ragnarok, the end of all things in Norse mythology, in order to get revenge against the Aesir.
That is so very sad and deep!!!! Loki hates himself and Thor and attacked earth b/c of his hatred. I think Loki really loved his dad despite everything. I think he just wanted to please him. All I saw on Loki's face during Thor and Avengers is this pain deep inside him that no one wanted to see. His two families let him down.I hope and pray he starts to realize how wonderful he is.

My only question is why his most disgraceful act in /Thor/, the part where he *kills Thor* didn't make it in. I mean, I know Loki wasn't actually *in* that scene, but when Thor hit the ground there, that was when Loki had put himself past any easy forgiveness. Talk about self-loathing.

Personally, I don't think Loki is evil so much as misled. Evil is a very strong word to describe someone or something that has no regard for life at all. Loki was consumed by hate, and like you said, no one hates him more than he hates himself. He was jealous of Thor, but you could see even when he went down the wrong path, he still loved his brother and vice versa. This is why Loki's story is so sad. :(
