  • This is my first video. It's about my experience with Bipolar Disorder. I talk about my first episode (psychotic depression) and how I became diagnosed with Bipolar.
I encourage my followers on Tumblr ( / battle-with-bipolar ) to ask me questions that I can answer in future videos.
I am here to answer any questions, to get to know other fellow sufferers and hopefully be a source of information and inspiration to all those who need it.

Really interesting and well explained. It sounds so painful, surreal and colourful, Im sure if you could write about it in the same way such a book would be really popular and help lots of people.
Well done Sandy you helped me and others loads :)

The thing where you were talking about when you looked at your moms face and it turned into a devil like entity. I have had this experience numerous times with people I know and strangers. It is one of the weirdest and scariest things I have experienced. I have also been socially isolated and stigmatized to where it just compounds the illness. I have also had to go to a mental hospital and I was strapped to a bed for a couple of hours and put in a small cell like room for some time. Its like you know that its not who you really are, but you dont know how to get out of it. Its like everywhere you go its a trap. It is so emotionally draining that I cant even put it in words. From what I gather from this video I see a very beautiful intelligent woman with endless potential. I know it is easier said than done, but take care of yourself and keep pushing forward. Thank you for your boldness in expressing your experience. It is a very difficult thing to put yourself out there like this. You are helping people more than you know.

I relate to this. Resipidone and Seroquel aswell.
It's comforting to see from this first video that you can speak about it, it's even better that by doing this you're able to help others understand and learn to have empathy. Odd coming from a stranger but I appreciate what this is doing. You're not only helping yourself, but the more you do to make others aware, the more you help everyone else that may be living with a mental illness or struggle.
I apologise for my rant. Though I think you may understand. I'll wrap things up with some simple last words.
Thank you, and I truly wish the all the best. :)

Mipster G Hey! It took me nearly 10 years to be able to speak about it openly without feeling ashamed. I am going to make more videos about mania and hypomania and stuff but I have just been putting it off and been very busy with work. I have decided to finally study psychology at uni because I want to become a psychologist and work with people with bipolar and other mental health related issues. I have really bad anxiety about going to class due to my experience in high school so I will be doing my degree externally. Thanks for your kind words too, that's the aim of my blog and videos, even if I just help 1 person then at least I know what I am doing is worth it :)

mine started around 14 too! And i can't really remember that time too much except the psychosis i was having...and all i remember is depression but i was reading so many books a week, isolating myself, and other stuff. So i can't remember too much from that age, but i do think it was depression with psychotic features. Did't get diagnose for Bipolar until like 5/6 years later.

They also say females start with depression before they even have a manic episode. And males start with mania.
