I drove from Vancouver Canada to Seattle Washington to buy this album when it was released! Yea, we couldn’t get it in Canada and we wanted it the day it was released so we would just get in the car and drive. So worth it. We did the same for Depeche Mode’s SOFAÐ and the original box sets. A station up here called Z95 would do album previews back in the day, and I first heard this track on British Chart Attack an import show that they’d play on the station once a week so those of us into good music could keep up with import releases. When Z played this, I remember taping the whole album off radio after playing YTYKH for my friend who was just as blown away, and we played it for her boyfriend and it all culminated in a 3.5 hour drive, 7-8 hours round trip for a CD. Totally worth it.
I had this album signed by the entire band and it disappeared at a concert :( Still bummed. But the guys were so sweet that when they heard they took my name and address and sent me a copy of the second release. Great guys!
@@stevenatkinson1228 They were really nice. i was so embarrassed. I am pretty sure the guy that glommed onto me is the one that took it and then he dragged me back stage and demanded the band do something. I wanted to fall thru the floor. Plus i had a major crush on Sean Rowley AND had been sitting on stage during the concert and accidentally flashing the drummer the whole time... i guess it is good to do dumb things when you are young... makes great stories when you are old :)
A very good friend of mine gave me the cassette for this group about 20 years ago. This song is great and the entire album that it's from, 1990's Cause & Effect, is AMAZING. Thanks for posting!
This is excellent. Remastered w little additions here and there. This music was in the latter days of The “Rolling” scene, a burst of fresh air mixing just the right tones and Melodies to tread water between Genres, and as the comments bear out, a long lasting following. Their Vinyl was always hard to get from the beginning, and still is. That’s a subliminal but sure way of knowing a bands prowess, or sustenance, and ability to transcend generations of music lovers maybe till the end of time. Peace to all the dj’s, clubheads, and record store ops., who broke this band and spread the love.
Whoever you are, wherever you are thanks for doing the world a favor uploading this song!!!!! my ALL TIME FAVORITE for so many years!!! Thank you. Seriously ;)
This is the original. It was replaced with the other version in the album later. Even the album cover was replaced with another showing the two band members.
Faziam somente 17 anos que estava procurando essa versão original! Obrigado! It was only 17 years ago that I was looking for this original version! Thank you!
I bought this cassette at a shopette on a British Post while I was stationed in Germany back in '92. Picked it up on a whim after the clerk told me that it sounded similar to Depeche Mode. Well, not really, but I enjoyed the album. I came right over to youtube after remembering the name of the band and researching them on Wikipedia. I highly recommend checking out the entry- this band took some unusual turns and met with some early tragedy after the release of this album.
The first album was just "Cause & Effect" self titled, but only released on cassette tape, if I remember correctly. The yellow cover is called "Another Minute" which was a re-release with the songs in a different order with "You Think You Know Her" in the newer mix which was nowhere near as good as the original from the self titled album.
@@alfredoduque980 Interesting. I never did see that album on CD, even Wikipedia doesn't state that it was released on CD. But that is why I stated "if I remember correctly" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cause_%26_Effect_(Cause_and_Effect_album) Even looking on eBay all I can find is the cassette tape. If you have it on CD, then you are holding on to gold, considering it has become extremely rare.

Djaira Boves exactly thanks.

This is the original. The ablum of Another Minute was released after this album was, which sadly enough was only on cassette tape.
@kato223 Wait a minute! I HAD this album on CD. It had this album cover and this version of ‘You Think You Know Her’.
I always felt that "Rarely seen and never heard" would be a great title for a compilation album of b-sides.
Can never get enough of this song!
This album got me through the slog that was post violator to SOFA-D. Such an underrated band and so good. I still play this banger of an album daily.
Omg so good!
This was my jam when I was in High School and this remastered track is Kick Ass! 🔊🎶🎶🔊🎶🎶
