I'm glad you think this is proper content Barry 😆 and yes, continually using the Mouchel and Kier mugs.

Glad you liked! It's a very balanced, flavorful blend IMO, though not so mellow like other brands' so called gold blends, so maybe it's slightly misleading in that way. This tea is very comparable to Thompson's Punjana.

It's a fine cuppa, if you stay tuned, you may see how we compare it to other teas

Good morning, Gents. A very functional tea with no bite - high praise if it's a good value. I have seen this tea on the supermarket shelves here in the States, but not yet sampled a cup. Is it worth a purchase? Lady Grey tea this morning as the temperatures are beginning to climb again, and the leftover tea will make a wonderful iced tea for this afternoon. Glad it was an enjoyable cuppa this morning. Be well and enjoy every and all future cuppas. Cheers!

More Barry's Gold to come, it is a fine cuppa, well worth a try. There may also be a little foray into the iced tea world.....

I've got a cup of Tata Tea Premium lose leaf that is just dying to drag you away from these pretenders to the PG crown 🤣 I've only had Barrys regular tea but did enjoy it while over there fishing, solid brew.

Gents. Barrys Masterblend is my favourite Barrys tea its so good! A little bit dearer than the Gold. Barrys send it no problem to the UK. Last night I had some Twinnings everyday (used to be a fav 20 yr ago) and I lined it up next to a masterblend and Yorkshire Gold all had 4mins, you dont realise how good they are next to the bang average muted Twinnings, gone downhill that has for sure. Honestly I can't really call it between that and Yorkshire Gold as they're great. Maybe you could add that 3rd cuppa in-between like Twinnings then you'll see just how much better they are lol. The Irish lads have it licked don't they? Between Barrys and Thompsons you cant go wrong. Incidentally you'll see online the Irish arguing about Barrys and Lyons however that Lyons is PG made in Manchester and suffers from the same rubbish blend change.
My favourite tea is Barrys, Yorkshire, Ringtons, they all make quality teas. I go for the Gold/premium blends in the afternoon always standard Yorkshire/Punjana in the morning. I just prefer them richer/delicate flavours in the afternoon, something to look forward to during a busy or lazy day!
I was fascinated by a talk by a guy that was involved in the tea industry as a merchant, he got asked what his favourite tea was and it was bagged Yorkshire Gold, he mentioned most of the guys in the industry drink it at home. I've spent fortunes on loose teas but always come back to the good old tea bag! When you stick to the good ones you can't go wrong. I'm a working man and don't find tea expensive if you shop around for deals but if you were on a strict budget then I'd probably just buy Sainsbury's red and gold labels. Sure it's nice to splash out on some expensive loose teas but for my money the English/Irish blended black teas with a drop of milk is just the ticket any time, anywhere!
Oh I find Barrys Gold sort of similar to Thompson's Irish breakfast, maybe that would be a difficult call to choose the best!

Lots of information! We have compared Yorkshire Gold, and other Gold teas with Twinings Organic (Twinings premium tea). It faired well. You have a good taste in Gold teas the Ringtons we found particularly good. There are just too many teas out there, we will get to them all at some point.

@@punktea8142 Clipper organic I think you're thinking in the green box? Not had that for a while since they stopped doing the gold blend.
