Not gonna give you a speech about why you should watch HXH, especially since you probably left in the videogame arc, which admittedly can feel dragged out and disconnected even though it has its moments, especially at the end, Just gonna drop this: Throughout all of anime, there are only two scenes that are so perfectuly executed and beautifuley heartbreaking that they make me cry every time: the death of the Going Merry, and the final moments of Meruem. Take that as you will.
yeah shield hero really did lose its way when it resolved the first arc kinda just started spinning its wheels in place like how the writer keeps trying to bake in new in world reasons for the protags party to be his slaves now that the kingdom isn't treating him like shit for anime I gave up on, Violet Evergarden got in 3 episodes found the backstory more interesting then the story and that was the final nail in the coffin of 'got it slow slice of life stories aren't for me'
The Rising of the Shield Hero: Agree completely and also dropped To Your Eternity: Agreed with what you said. End of Season 1/Beginning of Season 2 was just so boring for me. That being said, the rest of Season 2 got much better, and had a scene that I will remember for a long time. Goblin Slayer: I don't know, I never watched, and probably never will. Hunter x Hunter: I can understand somewhat. While I watched all of and enjoyed Hunter x Hunter, I'm nowhere near passionate as most of the fans of the show are. It's alright in my opinion. One show I dropped was Mushoku Tensei. I forced myself to watch 1.5 seasons and while the writing is pretty good, the pedophilia(which it is), is way too much for me and is the only show I regret watching.
Dude, I dropped off of Hunter x Hunter in the middle of the Chimera Ant arc. Everyone says it’s their favorite arc, but at that point we were so far into the wash/rinse/repeat of the series that I just wasn’t interested anymore. I really enjoyed my time with it overall, but it was time to move on.
Some anime I gave up on were Cowboy Bebop, just couldn't get into the more episodic series even if the animation and music is top notch. Also kind of stopped watching Jojo Stone Ocean as it really felt like Araki just got too insane with the powers the characters could have with Stands and the art also continued to get weirder with each anime season. Most surprising is I don't watch the One Piece anime, atleast not the newer seasons. Between the animation looking not as cool as it used to, the terrible pacing, the censorship in many scenes, the dragged out fight scenes and just overall drop in quality I can't. I'll still watch older seasons, those I can enjoy.
If you dropped series for the mc , that's fine. Its completely justifiable. No sense on watching a series of you don't care for the protagonist. Lol I'm just curious on why you don't care for Gon, because I think he's a great character for that story.
@Mr2dmonkey I found him uninteresting in every way. Granted, that was a decade ago when I had more surface level opinions, so I could've missed a lot of depth
@@gallenberger1 Fair enough. Gon's character does get more nuanced , as he gets more exposed to things, later on in the series. If you don't care to watch, that's fine. Enjoyed your video, btw. You made valid points.

Shield Hero was an interesting anime that got WAY more hate than it deserved. Seriously Mother's Basement made an entire video hating on the series because of a couple of plot elements he didn't like, the fact the next two seasons weren't that great didn't help. Sadly the anime was at it's best when it was just Naofumi against the world since he still worked to be a hero inspite of everyone being against him. Once that element was gone it just became a generic iseikai anime.

4:11, Sorry but you won't get anything from me. I thought the series was engaging for a bit but I also think it is too overhyped.
