- Here's what I think of Royal Enfield's new top-of-the-line touring jacket, Nirivik V2 after using it for nearly 1,500 km in peak Delhi summer.
If you'd like to know more about the jacket, you can check it out here: store.royalenf...
Disclaimer: This jacket was provided to me by Royal Enfield for a review. I did not pay for it.

Thanks for giving me your time. I appreciate it.
I have gone to buy an Explorer v4 jacket, but after just trying randomly, Nirvik V2 fell in love with it and bought Nirvik v2 for 15500(with offers). I have yet to go on a trip using this jacket, but I think it will satisfy all my needs.
The price bump isn't justified. The V1 would outsell the V2 if both are made available.
Boss its a double layered 500D jacket so its actually cheaper for now there is no such double layered jacket by any brands in india
@@sauvagyananda1 the old one is also 500D no difference apart air vent and design....... Even D3O LEVEL 2 ARMER both have😂😊
@@laxmidaas yes with double layered….go and see in person..dont read on google and say😀
@@sauvagyananda1 brother I went to purchase today that's why I am saying. Even better to purchase shell from online shop and purchase D30 or any renowned like knox sastac armor.....
Really nice looking jacket. Like the rain liner feature.
I compared both one more difference is there which is worth mentioning that its a double layered 500D material all over may be thats the reason for the price hike….
Nice. I didn't notice it.
Nirvik v1 Flipkart mein kal hi maine order kiya 10k mein with rain and winter liner included 😊😊
RE innovation 👌👌👌
Using streetwind pro…loving it.
Nirvik V1 had level 2 chest armours
Still feel rynox is a better deal stealth evo
This is CE certified jacket...! Rynox is not ..they using CE certified armours...tats all. Also they giving knox armour which are so bulky... and not do comfortable.. while this got D3O...the best out there.., flexible and comfortable...! Also Ventilation is quite less on evo...!
Don't the armors block the air flow ? I use the RE explorer V2 and Rev'it Eclipse (with Knox and Rev'it back protectors respectively) and these are full mesh jackets. Yet, my back always feels sweaty and less ventilated on hot days. And it gets much worse with a hydration pack. With a chest protector, it looks like the Nirvik V1 loses most of the front vent. V2 might fare slightly better I guess.
Armour is ventilated. It doesn't.
what cooling layer do you use ?
Thanks for this video.. also review Darch Pro Riding Jacket new model.. because i am looking to buy that jacket.. ❤
It should get AA rated abrasion resistance. You didn't even talk about it.
The review was otherwise good but this is a v imp point.
There is an action back at the back armhole.. which gives extra room for movement...! Also s slot for action cam standard clip mount at chest....! And a lot of reflective elements...at front..even when the vents are opened n snapped..! This is a deal breaker jacket..!
Thanx fr this video. Can u plz make a vid on RE x Revit pro black jacket? Thanx in advance. 👍
Just looking for a latest review of this jacket and i found your video. Very helpful. My main concern was the ventilation for the burning summer. Thank you. ❤
RE Nirvik v2. Vs Scala x force. Vs Rynox stealth evo 3
Best one.?
Seems like great VFM jacket.
Nice explanation Abhinav 👍
Hello Abinav , Zana crashgaurd gaurd team posted video explaining their side . It seems they never touched the engine to tubular frame bolt . Please watch that and kindly get some clarity on that .. as RE was blaming that 😕 even though Zana never touched it
Will check.
Nirvik 1 comes with chest protectors.
Was waiting for this review
Aapne v1 ka video bhot badhiya banaya tha...In fact I started following you from that video....
Thanks
Jabardust review h ai aapka.Boss Uttarakhand mai kahi store hai inka.plz.reply.haldwani mai ye available nahi hai.jaha pahan k dekhi ja sake.
Sir, Haldwani ka to mujhe maloom nahi.
Hi Abhinav, have been watching your videos lately. The nirvik V1 is currently selling for 7k on the RE page. Isn't that a better VFM Jacket than this?
That's just the shell without armour or rain liner or the fleece.
@@abhinavbhatt oh my bad. The V1 is selling for 11k and the newer one for 17k not a bad deal then.
It is a better deal. Please think for yourself. This video is uploaded only to sell the new jacket.
cool jacket
It also includes Hydration pack ?
That's a separate jacket.
Which cooling jacket you use?
Hyperkewl
Does the size run true or one-size up?
Runs true to size.
Hi Abhinav I watch, all of your videos and I love that your videos are so informative I love how you have changed your stock Himalayn into the best version in the whole country . Abhinav one thing I want to ask you is that in this video you are talking about RE riding jacket but how about Rynox riding jackets. Aren't they good enough as compared to RE ? And I think they are cheaper than RE and also come with level 2 armer . So buddy please help me on this cause you have inspired me to explore and I also love the new Himalayan and will definitely buy and do all the mods that you have done. So please clear my doubts.
I'm sure Rynox jackets are great. I've just never used them or know enough about them to comment on them.
Rynox jackets (now) are very good. Their first range back in the day were really uncomfortable and ill fitting. I routinely joked that the original rynox jackets made one look like Thakur from Sholay (clear hands tied under his shawl 😂). But now the fit and finish is top notch. I have their Stealth Evo (looks like now it is replaced by the Stealth Air Pro) and Urban X. I use the Stealth Evo when I visit the Himalayan mountains and the Urban when travelling in and around bangalore. The Urban is as goof of a fit as a Revvit (i have tried that as well). Made of 600D polyester. And they also come with elbow, shoulder, chest and back protectors. Absolutely top class stuff. Only thing I would change are the protectors to be D30 to reduce a bit of weight. They have come up with their own protector with NASA tech which will be lighter than the ones they use now. So whenever they're available will be great.
What about Rynox Tornado pro 4? Definitely it doesn't have that many pockets but as Abhinav mentioned safety is more important than comfort and than other things. And I think it's quite economic in comparison to RE. at least for a new rider . So what's your thought on it and Abhinav one thing more can we use single I mean only one jacket for everywhere as you were telling about this Nivirik v2
@@rakeshrana3626 Depends on what kind of riding you do. For long distance touring, I always prefer a touring jacket. Touring jackets (like the Stealth Evo or Air Pro from Rynox or Nirvik from RE) are longer than other jackets like the Tornado which are only waist length. When you sit on the bike and extend your arms to hold the handlebar, the jacket rises up a bit. A longer touring jacket will still cover your waist and shield well from wind and a potential fall. Imagine wearing a shorter jacket which rises up and exposes your waist potentially can cause more wounds than a longer touring jacket in case of a fall.
Coming to the jackets themselves, both Rynox and RE have their strengths and weaknesses. The Rynox Stealth Evo is superb in cold climates cos you can close all vents (makes it air tight and keeps your body warm) but is equally horrible in hot climates cos the vents are small and air flow isnt as good. The Stealth Air Pro has good ventilation but the same ventilation can be a detriment in cold climates cos they cant be closed. THe Nirvik is better here in that it has big vents which can be closed and opened completely depending on the weather. But with that comes the price difference. For 1 Nirvik v2 you can almost buy 1 Stealth Evo (for cold climates) and 1 Stealth Air pro (for hot and non cold times) or any of their other mesh jackets for hot climates. BTW, the Stealth Air Pro has a built-in pocket to put a hydration bladder so you wont have to buy a hydraion bag.
As I said, depends on what kind of riding you do and affordability and need. I have a Stealth Evo that I use when I go to the Himalayas. and a Urban for local rides around Bangalore. 1 jacket will never work for all conditions.
@@Whatreally123 Thanks alot for explaining what is the basic need and basic difference between the different types of jackets now I will check the all things that you have mentioned like jacket ventilation armer level length etc.. thanks alot
I’m gonna buy leatt 7.5 dritour riding jacket🤪
Just wanted to know India they call Himalayan 452cc but abroad it's known as 411cc or 400cc any idea why I think you are the right person to ask❤
450 is the new himalayan and 411 is the old one
Yes I know it's new and old.why it's not 452cc outside India
