As a new bike I don't think it's worth the money, but as a used one, it's definately a vfm and holds its value pretty well. As any other bike, it needs some mods to be ergonomically suitable, but mainly low-cost stuff. I have a 2010 F800 ST (which is practically the same) and personally, the only things I would do to the bike are put some bar risers for a more upright riding position and mirror extenders for better rear visibility. The stock screen does offer good wind protection (I am 183cm) for speeds up to 120-130 km/h (which is the highest speed limit in my country, anyway), so putting an aftermarket screen is a matter of personal preference. The same goes for the aftermarket exhaust (I'm waiting for my new Mivv as we speak). All in all, well damped bike, amazing brembo brakes (mainly front), torquey and linear, low maintenance, no chain rattle or chain lube bathing the rear end, german quality, easy to ride. I even love the vibration it produces at lower rpm :P . After all, you gotta ride what you love! Cheers from Greece!!
Is lane splitting illegal where you’re from? Definitely thinking of buying one of these as they really make good sense to those of us that are a more mature rider, my days of Hayabusa’s and Blackbirds are long gone… good review thanks 👍
I bought a 2013 3 weeks ago there's 11,000 km on it now it has 13,000 and it had all the options all the bags and it's amazing bike the more I ride it the more I love it it's comfortable I'm 6,3 it's so easy to ride when I bought it I had to ride it through a thunderstorm with rain and lightning coming home on a highway doing a 110 km no problems whatsoever because of the wind blockage and the bike works so well I had no concerns to me it's an awesome bike.
I just sold my 2008 ST version with 86,000 klm on it and one belt change due to someone reversing into the rear sprocket . I now regret selling it , will look for the GT version later.
I gave bought a 800 gt 1 yeah ago. Probably not the best sport bike. But i really love this bike which is very economic (4l/100km) with confort if you ride more than 200 km. Anyway, my next bike will be a BMW (probably 1250)
Ik rij met dezelfde moto (wit), met deze type kan je je versnellingen op en neer schakelen vannaf de eerste versnelling naar tweede en verder zonder de koppeling te gebruiken. I drive with the same bike (white), with this type you can shift your gears up and down from the first gear to second and further without using the clutch.

Het Ronny, ik heb er ook eentje zien staan. Ik twijfel of hij misschien wat saai is op de duur. Kan jij er wat meer over vertellen?
2020 discontinued in Europe shame as great bike
How did you install the small bag? Can you show it?

Riding a BMW bike and say it's like an Audi. Blasphemy.
