Jeez. I am breathless watching that!! Whenever I see any clips of these legends I am reminded of the Lyceum when they supported the Stray Cats. They took the roof off and just about blew the Cats away, and they were no slouches either!!
I saw a lot of bands on stage from the mid seventies to the mid eighties and The Pirates were streets ahead of the lot of them.Tremendous band and still gigging now.
This tune is so full of life it's amazing. Mick Green is fabulous.

Сильнейшие рокеры суперская группа рок 🎸 навсегда здорово 👍
Best video of the Pirates on You Tube hands down....hope it stays up forever...love it, especially when Mick starts jammin around 2:40
What great stuff🇬🇧😊👍
Wow - The Pirates at their best! I first saw them at Loughborough Town Hall in 1979 and am still going to their gigs. A fabulous band.
The Pirates best three piece ever.
The boys just rock.
Budgie is another good old 3 piece, fair bit heavier but full sound too.
I saw them in Sweden about a week before this concert. They were awesome. Best gig I've ever seen. Loud musical brilliance from start to end.
Absolutely the best-I used to have their 2000 reunion CD. They didn't rehearse or do a soundcheck-that's what 'Peter Gunn' is for, checking levels.
Shakes me all over, older I get, the more do this clean mean rock`n`roll appeal to me...
i think they are the best band in the world
Best three piece for sure.
cooooooooool!!!!
Yes they did look up First Night Stand a bootleg from 1978 its on UA-cam somewhere.
I just got here. i've been at at Headley Grange lol shoulda' ventured outside.
saw them at "JB's" Dudley about 1979 i guess stunning live band
RIP Mick.
great energy , are these the orignal PIRATES as in Johnny Kid?
yes they are.
Did Lancaster never do this with Quo live? Loved to have heard a live Quo version in the 70s.
Never follow the Pirates......never a truer word!!!
At their height they were untouchable.
Saw them at Salford Uni in the late seventies.....they nearly took the roof of the place.
@MalaBia666 Yep.
John fogerty did this song to.
Yes, just without the kid
