I love so many things, but vintage tins and textiles, copper, and rugs are on my current thrift list. What are you looking for these days?

I love gifting my thrifted items - especially to people I know will appreciate them as much as me! Patty was the first person I called when I saw the lettuce pitcher! LOL
My Mom had the same wheat pattern set, I remember we would only use it for special occasions, and holidays. I, too liked the mid century coffee pot, also had that type of pot growing up.
My grandparents, too drank eight o’clock coffee, like yourself I remember the small tin. In fact my grandmother, used the same coffee pot that you showed earlier and I commented on.
Loved, loved, loved your tiered tea holder! Gorgeous! I’ve been to plenty of afternoon teas and never had my tea food served on such a tea holder as that!

My favorite items that you purchased, are items that are Very similar to items that I have in our home. 😊For starters, I Love the Beautiful tray that you bought. I have a tray very similar to your tray, but my tray has a picture of a bowl filled with Southern Magnolia flowers and leaves inside it, that I purchased on a trip to Savannah. I am a collector of cabbage ware, so I Love the pitcher that you purchased. Paula, I also Love your two brass pieces. I have one large piece that is Very similar to your purchase, that I purchased from Homegoods years ago, and I use it as a planter for a faux fern.😊 Your other pieces that made me "giddy," were your silver cake plate and your toast rack. 😊 Although, I have not found a toast rack as of yet, I do have a number of silver plated items that I have in our China Cabinet in our Dining Room. I think we are soul thrifters. Different items I spotted before you mentioned them I told myself, 'oh I would have picked that up'. Then you showed it in your haul segment. I always pick up the vintage wooden thread spools. Isn't my little rooster so beautiful...he brings me joy.

I collect Homer/Laughlin...simply love their items. I think I might have told you I have my mothers 2 bowls from Duckwalls (Kansas) that she bought in 1947 right after she was married. They always held our mashed potatoes and the vegetable! Wanted to share this...my friend was at Goodwill the other day, everything was fifty percent off. She found some white dishes that she loved, she got all they had...total $17.50 total. When she got home she started investigating what they were...I can't remember what the name was but total for what she got was over $900!! Can you believe that?? She was so excited!
Oh my gosh what an amazing find for your friend!! She needs to submit it to Relatively Refinds! We would love to share her wonderful treasures! I love that you have your mother's bowls - such great memories every time you look at them! That's what I love about thrifting - the nostalgia and the memories!

Paula, we could never go thrifting together as we would enable each other to buy everything. I absolutely LOVED each and every item you focused on. The French courting couple lamp - so stinking sweet. The Irish figurines are just darling. I could comment on everything you purchased but I would need my own channel to do so LOL. I found a Homer Laughlin platter for 99 cents. It's white with blue stripe around edge and had a small blue sailboat in the middle. A great haul.

Loved your video, shopping and the haul.. I have 2 of the Eight O’clock coffee tins, when I was a little girl I got to ground the coffee at the A&P store, Eight O’clock coffee is something special for me🌹♥️
Doris what a sweet memory about grinding the coffee at the A&P. I can remember seeing those grinders in the IGA near my grandparents house! Thanks so much for sharing that - and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video.
I have the Irish boy and girl music boxes. I won them in an auction. They are stamped Schmid and Japan.

So many wonderful finds, my favorites were the Ralph Lauren silver cake stand and the brass plate rack. I have a cake rack in my guest bath that I have wash clothes, hand towels, and soaps, I change out the plates with the seasons. Thank you for sharing.
What a fantastic idea!! I love the cleverness of using the plate rack in the bathroom and changing the plates seasonally! I may have to steal that idea! :)

Great finds! The prices at your Goodwill seem so reasonable. The ones around me have gotten so high, higher than retail in some instances.
Our Habitat Restores around here are ridiculous. Their prices are so high that you could easily buy new for less. And their wares are usually junky or damaged. I never go in them. I understand your frustration!

The blue delft "teapot" you picked up is a coffee pot (tall and slender). Remember the song: "I'm a little teapot short and stout", because compared to a coffee pot, it is!

wow, Paula...what great finds. I happened to find three of those trays like the one you showed that was five dollars. I have them hanging up with the small one on top and the large one on the bottom. They just make me so happy. I found them in a consignment store and paid more than thrift store prices but I love them. If I lived where you live, I would have a hard time staying on budget. So many great finds in those thrift stores. I am headed to my thrift store today!! You enabled me.:)

@@relativelyrefined Not a lot today but I did pick up a frame and a Ruby Red shell and lace blouse! I have to admit that a local store had large blue and white foot baths and I purchased one for my dining room table. My rationale was I had saved so much money buying at thrift I could splurge!!

Thanks, Jane!! It is a wonderful store - the prices have definitely been on the rise, but it is for a good cause! They are a church based organization that runs a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.
The beautiful tray would be so pretty used on top of a luggage rack as a little side table. I loved the haul. You purchased some great items and got some awesome deals.

You have some great thrift shops Paula. We like so many similar things. I also love to find flower frogs and just can't leave them behind. I love the old wooden spools of cotton and they look good in the glass container. We are excited for the Coronation this weekend. Sue x

Hi Paula, thanks for the fun haul. We have a lot of similar interests. I found a huge collection of silver plated flatware from the 1940's at Goodwill for $6.99. There is a very detailed and delicate pattern on it that I just love. Is there ever a time when the condition of the flatware would deter you from using it for food?
Oh my goodness - what a find! As far as condition of flatware - I really try only to purchase items that I feel are good safe. I will make an exception if it is particularly beautiful! Then I will find a fun way to display it!🥰
What a great haul!! You passed up a number of items I would have had to purchase!! My favorite of your finds is that spectacular painted large metal tray! It does look very fall-like. Back in the 70’s and early 80’s I started to save my coffee tins that the coffee came in and I’m so glad I did. Now when I see them in antique stores I just smile because mine were free with the coffee.
Chris - I am still thinking about the needlepoint pillow, the blue and white platter, and the tapestry! LOL. I may have to stop in tomorrow to see if they are still there! :). Good for you for saving those coffee tins!! They are so handy for storing all kinds of things!
