The Emmys did a wonderful job in putting together this memorial. I teared up with Paul Reubens. But the tears started falling when Matthew Perry’s photo came up 😢😢.
This might seem a little strange, but I actually like watching the In Memoriam segments of the Emmys and the Oscars. It's a nice way to celebrate those great actors, directors, writers etc. who are no longer with us but are otherwise remembered for their talents.
Her voice brings me back and gives me all the feels. Tanya won my heart when she sang in Sister Act! She and her husband deserve all the praise and love. You both radiate talent and joy! Love love love!!!
These In Memoriam tributes are always beautifully done, but I wish they'd find a way to insist no applause until to the end so everyone gets equal treatment.
Sad also that the Grammys didn't treat artists that had problems that could drive them to take their own lives as a last resort, like several musical artists who were not mentioned this year.
I came here expecting Jason David Frank be honored after dedicating his whole career to the Power Rangers and the influence he gained. At least I know the ones that really matter to him will always remember him... Us. The ones who he fought for. So long, Tommy.

Angela Lansbury: When “Murder She Wrote” was at its height of popularity, the trades voted to strike. Her limo pulled up to the strike line and she waved and had her driver make a U-turn and left. She refused to cross the picket line and didn’t come back until the strike ended 3 weeks later.
That is due to her grandfather, a British politician for the Labour party who fought for the worker's rights and social reform. He will have taught her the value of tge rights of tge worker and the importance of supporting the worker.
I remember seeing Angela Lansbury in one of her first films “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. I had read the book years earlier, at school. She was so young, and had such a beautiful voice.
I kinda understand why David Soul wasn't shown . Even with computers it still takes a few days to edit and update the graphics. Before computers you had to die in November to make it on the Memorial list.

If they didn't show the people singing on camera a few more artists who passed could and should have been shown. Was a bit of a gut punch seeing Adan Canto's picture up there. His passing was shocking. He kept his battle with cancer private. Still doesn't seem real. RIP to all those we lost.
Started to cry ar Richard Belzer, knew I wasn't going to stop at LeslieJordan, knew they were going to end with Matthew Parry at the Friend's theme segue.
It disappoints when the memoriam is listed as a 'performance'...wish it was just instrumental music playing, with no shots of the performers - only those lost this year to honor. Also - that was a strange and awkward introduction - Rob esp. looked uncomfortable, however they both seemed ill at ease. The music was great...just wish the performers were not shown...

I don't know most them some i do having just lost my mother she would remember most them as she had great memory of people on stage. Film she kept diaries from 1950s till 1990 she would write them put actors names got lovely collection of them R.I.P.
a great role for her! Also she was in Thorn birds miniseries and guest starred on Frasier and many other tv shows. Face it they really missed a whole lot of people. TCM and ones constructed by true fans are the best memoriams on youtube.
😢😮As a true mark of respect, surely the audience could be asked to hold back their applause and cheers throughout this somber part of the ceremony. It’s a bit crass when the people who have passed away are given varying responses based upon how well known they were.
