This was a great watch, and now that you mention it, I would really have thought too that there'd be a lot of spoilers for the ShB, but... It's really limited what we get about the Allagans themselves. Even the musings during the Twinning are mostly just there for building a picture of the world that we'd never see. Great overview of the culture, and really lovely seeing more from you. :D
Really glad you enjoyed! Also yeah, ShB didn't give us much in the way of new Allagan stuff, only old stuff, like the Crystal Tower. There is one new Allagan Artifact that plays an interesting roll in the Bozjan Resistance story, but we don't really know much about that yet. I guess it makes sense though, since the MSQ proper takes place in the First, and the Allagan Empire is the Source's history.
Kinda surprised that you didn't mention Emet-Selch or how the Ascians had a heavy involvement with Allag. It's been implied that Emet-Selch himself had a hand in the creation of the Allagan Empire in a cutscene with Varis. Tiamat reveals that the the Ascians also taught the means of binding primals to the Allagans prior to her summoning Bahamut. And in a cutscene in Stormblood, Zenos makes a comment that implies that Omega was the one to capture Bahamut in a manner similar to the one that holds Shinryu. There's a lot more lore scattered throughout the game, but I think your video was very comprehensive nonetheless.
I figured the Ascian's implied meddling was better left to a video about the Ascians proper, and in general, there are a lot of small details I'm forced to leave out for the sake of making these videos comprehensive and easy to digest! The lorebook, where I got a lot of this information, didn't bring the Ascians up at all as the origin of them learning how to bind Primals, so if Tiamat did mention it, that must've been something I missed. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@@SaltExarch Admittedly, some of the content I mentioned was put out years ago. You'd either have to play through it all again or go through the cutscenes you can through The Unending Journey. I'm willing to bet as we get more content, a lot of stuff will either be retconned or given new context. Regardless, the video is still good and informative. I'll be interested to see what else you'll put out.
Keeping Endwalker spoilers to a minimum, Amon seemed to be a Hyur of normal height going by his POV Echo Flashbacks. Xande (at least his resurrected self) seemed to be a lot bigger though
I love the allagans but there is so much going on with them, this is a great way to set all the facts straight. +1 ancient sci-fi civilization.

Awesome vid! Man, Xande was like a crystal exarch of darkness. Eorzea history is so epic. I hope they give us more info on the previous calamities
Thank you for this. I wish you the best of luck! Cheers from Belgium!

I actually just want use to be able to travel to the Garlean Empire since 1.0........and I will finally get my chance in the Endwalker expansion
I wojnder if they were actually that big or was that just Amon's stylings on their resurection :3

It's funny that the most technologically advanced civilization is ruled by a burly dude who looks like a caveman.
Almost everything in the story is the fault of Allagan.
