This vlog was very reminiscent of your older vlogs from years ago which was so nice to see! Also this vlog reminded me of something! You were the first flight attendant UA-camr that I subscribed to and it was kind of on accident. I was doing research on an aviation project for work and did a UA-cam search for terms and general knowledge of the work process for flight attendants. I found a video of yours where you break it all down and was so intrigued that I watched more of your videos and subscribed. From that (you) I found that there's a ton of flight attendant youtubers and now I follow a few, but you were the first!

Same here. I watched her and an Emirates Welsh girl exactly 3 yrs ago. Only recently started seeing CA again. She's the best. Never saw the other flight attendant again who had a Muslim boyfriend. I can't recall her name unfortunately. Now there are loads to choose from. I also like Kacy who knows Carrie Anne from training way at the start. Keep the videos coming.

I used to be married a to 747-800 Captain (who retired flying the 787) so I miss the aviation life of traveling with him to beautiful destinations. I would definitely suggest a sound machine. I also listen to audiobooks or podcasts at night (with and without ear buds) and they tend to put me to sleep.

I think there’s a correlation between the energy drinks and the not sleeping. So double check how much caffeine you’re putting into your body.
Also. Try “adrenal chill” supplement. It’s supposed to help bring down the adrenaline at night. I started taking it with magnesium and my sleep improved too. Adrenal chill doesn’t necessarily make you fall asleep but it helps you stay asleep.

Some free advice from a former insomniac. You might want to try ditching the caffeine. I found that it affects my sleep even if I have it only in the morning. So, now the only caffeine I get is in a decaf coffee or green tea, and that has to be before 11 AM.
Me too! I try not to have caffeine after noon unless I’m going to be up late and absolutely need to stay awake.

Re sleep, the timing of energy drinks intake is important, get a sound machine and earplugs. They do help! Happy for you and we're here to continue to support you, girlie! 💗

Your cat in the bow tie is EVERYTHING! 😍 I have 3 cats myself. The first day of your trip sounded crazy and exhausting, but you made it through. I like your Iowa sweatshirt, are you from there originally? I happen to be, but I'm a diehard Iowa State fan, but will cheer for Iowa every now and then.
The energy drinks can mess with adrenal glands, and upset the hormones related to getting restful sleep.. I’m all about caffeine, but if having trouble sleeping I’d say that you should vote the red bull off the island first. That crap is not good for you!
Not sure if you’re following a low carb diet, but that can mess with sleep too.

Definitely! Low carb made my sleep schedule all over the place. I'm ex-crew so Carrie's sleep issues are sooo relatable, I was international as well so it was wild, had to quit as it was taking a toll on me big time. I do think sea moss helps a lot with maintaining energy levels so that's a better option than energy drinks.
I always take a sound machine when I travel. They have great travel ones. Total game changer for sleeping in hotels. Drowns out all hallway noise and I sleep great. Try it out!
For me - after 30, sleep is just different. I used to pass out anywhere as soon as my head hit the pillow. Now things have to be just right, my hormones and time of the month play a factor, caffeine, sugar, etc. etc. 🥴

Your insomnia could be related to something you're eating and drinking. Maybe the energy drinks or the supplements?

It seems like you consume a lot of energy based drinks/ caffeine, so if that’s lingering in your system then it’s likely contributing to lack of sleep. I get it though, obviously if you can’t sleep then an energy boost is needed….vicious cycle.

Can you bring a mini fan with you? I find if I keep my fan wherever I sleep I have no issues. The constant sound helps drown everything else out and as soon as I put it on my body knows it’s time to sleep

You may be wearing too much to bed. I have read articles during periods of insomnia myself that say sleeping naked helps. I don't do that, but try just some underwear and a light tank. It really works. I get the impression you are pretty heavily clothed for bed. Try less and if you need another blanket go that route.
I sleep naked and still struggle with tossing and turning a sleep mask is the only thing that helps if I can’t find mine before bed I’m screwed
I think she needs to balance her cortisol levels. Her job is pretty demanding.

every time i have sleep issues, i try to find a week (or at least 3 days) to not drinking caffinee as a mini detox ! i feel like it works and then after i sleep well . or it could be stress related ! hopefully you can start sleeping soon bc sleep is important 💖

Make sure you're checking which type of magnesium you're taking before bed. There's a lot of different magnesium's, some can give you energy, some make you sleepy, could be why you're not sleeping well at night. Just from my personal experience!
Try taking a sound machine with you when you travel! Or using white noise on your phone. White noise really helps me sleep better.
I use the sleep stories and the Calm app. The trick is to use them at home even if you don’t need them so your body associates them with sleep

Energy drinks are horrible for sleep! Drinking coffee would be much better if you HAD to have something. Also - you could try Unisom sleep tablets - you can get them over the counter. 💜
