$1300 euros for a furnished 4 bedroom place?? Holy cow, that is a STEAL!! 😅 I live in California so that sounds like an absolute dream to me! It's fun watching this process and also very informative, thank you for sharing it with us. My husband and I are trying to figure out a way to move to Europe so this has been educational for me.
It's a steal for 2 reasons: - it's in Alicante which is not a major city - because you think of it with a US mindset. In order not to be house poor, you need to make at least $3900 a month (3 times the amount of the rent) and not many Spanish households make that amount...
I lived in Madrid for a year i was a exchange student when i was in high school .. loved it there still keep in contact with my host family and been back twice since
It’s going to be fine!!! I just know you guys will get your visas!! I’m so glad you have found a great place for your family to stay!!! Be safe going back and forth even though I know you are a very experienced traveler but just in case!!!!
Nice apartment! In Germany you would find any EMPTY, and I mean empty apartment. That means no light fixtures and no kitchen - just the pipes and wires coming out of the wall. Germans tend to rent for life so they want to install their own kitchen and light fixtures. I lived in three apartments in three cities before building my house in Germany. There are furnished apartments but usually very small or short term. My oldest will start Uni in the fall in Munich and we expect to pay €900 for an unfurnished one room tiny studio. Two years later my second child will need an apartment as well. 😢
I bought that brand and I’m happy with it but I got the bigger one which is great but i hope i dont want to overpack when I head to Calgary and Mexico later this year.
The price is actually cheap for what your getting , then again I live jn San Diego and pay $1400 for a one bedroom studio with a small yard and washer dryer so for me it’s worth it I think you got an awesome deal
I ALWAYS wonder how you (& Kat) adjust your liquids for carry-on travel when flying standby. It seems like you have greater allowances when working. I've heard stories about folks getting told that lipstick is a liquid (UK) or other crazy-to-me situations. I'm wondering how you deal with domestic vs international travel. Btw, I'm a wee bit envious of your adventure of moving to Spain. I used to think I was that person, but now I'm so comfy in my old age. 😜🤣✈️🌎👀 Love seeing the process though!!! ❤
€1300 = US$1391.40, for a fully furnished 4-bed 2-bath place sounds like a great deal! One question-you’ve said you’re going to be getting rid of furniture before you go; is there a thought about putting that into an account so when you come back to the States you’d have that available in case furniture needs to be bought?
Ale what airline did you fly to Spain? Do you have flight benefits with them? Also curious when flying nonrev aren't you allowed 1 checked bag and 1 carryon? Your nails look pretty to me. 💅
Ale your hair like you dyed it you and your family are totally awesome love the red nail polish your make up looks great as well good luck with your trip
Nice video. Sorry to hear about the mishap with the coffee mug. You said that furnished apartment was $1300 in Spain money. If you want, what is that in american money. No big deal if you don't want to say. Sounded like you had one heck of trip back to the u.s.

I wanted to follow you because Kat is always bragging you up! I am so excited for your new adventure ! I live near Seattle and many people here are doing the very same thing as you are. Some are moving to Hawaii, London, Mexico, and even Guam. So I can't wait to see how you thrive in your new environment... ,
Funnily, the UK 🇬🇧 is in Europe and our plugs/sockets are different to those in the rest of Europe. Greece 🇬🇷 and Spain 🇪🇸 and Italy 🇮🇹 have the same so it’s easy. Hopefully your visa comes through. It will be lovely for your children too. Also, being in Europe makes it easy and cheaper to travel to other European destinations. Castiliano Spanish is slightly different but basics are the same.
in north europe it is not normal to have furniture apartments. i was surprised when i was living 5 months in spain that some apartments did not even have fridge!
The flat/ apartment looked very nice. Great you found it, not easy finding housing in Europe . 🙏hope everything goes smoothly for you getting approved for your visa and your new adventure begins For you all .Have a Good weekend 🥰
Who’s complaining? lol. I said it high. Which it is, maybe not for Americans, but in Spain the salaries are different. Also it’s € is for euros. $ is for dollars. It’s not $1300 euros.

1300 euros? You can’t get that for a furnished place like that in the states. I don’t know how I’d feel about the furniture there. Is it new or was it used by previous tenants? I’d rather have my own stuff.
Concur with below: I pay €550 unfurnished studio in downtown Coimbra, Portugal. Run like a deer to pay €1500 for FURNISHED 4 bedroom in mid-Spain! Zounds!
Ale I adore you🩵 if I could make a request I would love to see a video about your faith, maybe while doing makeup like a get ready with me. I would love to see what products you’re currently loving as well❤
€1300 for a four bed fully furnished apt is a little high?!? 👀 Havng lived in Europe my whole life, this is not expensive for what you are getting… looked awesome though.
Ale.. I just love your enthusiasm for life! You're such an inspiration for ALL women of any age. The apt was so nice.. I had no idea you could rent something like that there-I just thought it would be SO much smaller. Thank you for sharing all of that! I wish you and your family a speedy process for a YES on your move. However, you'll be missed in the USA! Blessings! 🙏💛🙏
I know you're busy with everything but I am curious about which airlines are safe to travel with, domestic & international. I'm afraid of flying, but I want to start traveling but worried about airline safety since I'm not familiar with international airlines.
She's not going to single out any airlines for obvious reasons. You need to do your own research. Also, no one airline can or will guarantee anyone's personal safety. People who travel learn how to do so over time. Experience isn't something anyone else can give you. You have to get out there and do things for yourself. If you're fearful, you're not going to be successful.
yeah, unfortunately, I can't tell you which airline is the safest. I can tell you though, that flying really isn't that bad, remember some of us are crazy enough to do it for a living, so it can't be that bad 😉
Spain 😊 usa to Spain ❤️🇺🇸 you staying Spain , because too much videos Spain,so usa some months only,ha ok nice life videos,I waching all foreigners flight travel videos, because I have nearly nothing Americans meet opportunity

I'm from california too! I know how expensive it can be!
Okay but average salary in spain is much lower too so the rent is reasonable
It's a steal for 2 reasons:

- because you think of it with a US mindset. In order not to be house poor, you need to make at least $3900 a month (3 times the amount of the rent) and not many Spanish households make that amount...
So excited for all the Spanish content and for your new life unfolding!
Thanks Lizzie! I have so many videos planned!
That backpack looks fantastic, l need that in my life. I'm glad lm not the only one that starts the day rough sometimes. The coffee was well needed 👍
It's so good!!
I lived in Madrid for a year i was a exchange student when i was in high school .. loved it there still keep in contact with my host family and been back twice since
Great news on your new flat. Good luck with your interview. God bless.
Congratulations Ale on finding a place to stay when you move.
The apartment you looked at was really good for the price. A great starting place❤
It’s going to be fine!!! I just know you guys will get your visas!! I’m so glad you have found a great place for your family to stay!!! Be safe going back and forth even though I know you are a very experienced traveler but just in case!!!!
How exciting! Europe is rather cosy compared to the USA!When Europeans go to America, we find EVERYTHING vast, huge, big! You will love Spain.
Nice apartment! In Germany you would find any EMPTY, and I mean empty apartment. That means no light fixtures and no kitchen - just the pipes and wires coming out of the wall. Will you apply to work for Spanish Airline like Iberia? Bonus that you all speak Spanish
I bought that brand and I’m happy with it but I got the bigger one which is great but i hope i dont want to overpack when I head to Calgary and Mexico later this year.
Positive thoughts for you,Jorge & the boys. Loved your apartment and the fact it is furnished is a bonus
it really is!! Thank you!
It would be so hard for me to give up our luxuries but living in another country will be such an educational experience for all!
Definitely not for everyone.
Your coffee mishap reminded me of the time I forgot to add water to my coffee maker. 🤭
That's happened to me before too haha
The price is actually cheap for what your getting , then again I live jn San Diego and pay $1400 for a one bedroom studio with a small yard and washer dryer so for me it’s worth it I think you got an awesome deal
Yes, for us being from the US. But in Spain it’s considered high because of the salary.
How exciting ❤

Thank you! 😃

We definitely have a plan for everything we sell.
What type of visa did you apply for?
Ale what airline did you fly to Spain? Do you have flight benefits with them? Also curious when flying nonrev aren't you allowed 1 checked bag and 1 carryon? Your nails look pretty to me. 💅
It depends which flight has more open seats but usually Iberia has been great
Regarding your backpack, what size is that? I’ve looked at it via your link and there are several different sizes. Thx.
I have the large.
Ale, how long does the visa allow you to stay in Spain?
Are you able to rescind your lease if theirs a visa issue?
Are you going to sell your house in Florida?
I actually forgot to put the kcup in and had a cup of water sugar and creamer 😂
Oh no!!! 😭
Ale your hair like you dyed it you and your family are totally awesome love the red nail polish your make up looks great as well good luck with your trip

Glad to know I'am not the only one to forget to put the coffee mug under coffee machine!
You're definitely not alone!
I did that three separate times but mine was with a Sodastream machine!🤦♂
Ale, I love Valencia and Barcelona, we try to go every 2 years. Enjoy and have fun in Spain!
in north europe it is not normal to have furniture apartments. i was surprised when i was living 5 months in spain that some apartments did not even have fridge!
Just debulk your nail and reshape them. They don’t look that bad
they were bad, I had to redo them.
So nice to see you again as always ❤
The flat/ apartment looked very nice. Great you found it, not easy finding housing in Europe .

It really isn't easy!
What a lovely flat❤
Lmao complaining about $1300 euros… practically free
Who’s complaining? lol. I said it high. Which it is, maybe not for Americans, but in Spain the salaries are different.

$1300 for a 4 bedroom is a steal anywhere!
Yes, it’s just in Spain the salary is less.

It’s pretty new. I’m not going to share much more for the privacy of the owners, but everything is pretty much new.
Concur with below: I pay €550 unfurnished studio in downtown Coimbra, Portugal. Run like a deer to pay €1500 for FURNISHED 4 bedroom in mid-Spain! Zounds!
The Brightline train is super nice. It’s $79 Orlando to Miami. You can upgrade which is more expensive and probably not worth it.
Thanks for this vlog. Take care. Looking forward to your future news. Cheers.

€ 1.300,00 ? That is cheap, here in Germany you would not get it for that money!! It is wonderfull!!!
1300€ a month? Sounds good furnished for a city- in Germany would be more expensive. But I do really like the apartmen ❤️😊
Wow, thank you for sharing your experience. I’m just wondering how much is the ticket on the bright line train to Mia?
Ale Would You Buy Me 4 Cans of Those Chefboyardee Mini Beef Ravioli and Meatballs
So happy for you! I’m in torrevieja right now which is super close to Alicante. Love this area!
The apartment looks so nice and modern! I love the little office off the bedroom too 😊
Hi mrs ale
I’ve forgotten to put a mug in the coffeemaker too Ale!
Where did you get that brown shirt from lol
Will UA-cam become your full time job? 🤞
You so deserve this!
Exciting 🙌
1,300 euros for a place like that seems like a steal instead of expensive??
For us in the US yes. But in Spain, wages and salaries are lower, so this is considered high.
I tried making coffee yesterday, but forgot the filter when I put the grounds in 😢
Oh noooo!
Ale, are you still wearing invisiline and if so, how are they working? Best wishes on your move.
i'm not
I would have had homes picked out to look at since you are moving there! Not an apartment. 😝
Are you familiar with Spain? lol. It’s not like in the US where houses are as common.
Ale you will not find any closets and storage places in european appartments😂
lol that’s why I mentioned that. This place had a lot of storage place though
Ale..
I just love your enthusiasm for life! You're such an inspiration for ALL women of any age.
