  • Introducing the 4 colour granny squares that will give you plaid or gingham looking afghans. Each square is made up of 4 different colours and the colours change in the corners.
2 Colour Granny Square AfghanThis is very similar to the Half’n Half Granny Square Afghan by Yarnspirations. I realized that if it’s so easy to change colours for squares that are half colours, how hard could it be to do 4 colours in one square. Turns out, there’s really no difference in difficulty. There’s 4 strands of yarn to use instead of 2 but the process is still just as easy.

Just when I needed a tutorial for doing this kind of granny square and I couldn't figure out how to make the corners to look so neat. Also, it opens so many incredible possibilities to make different patterns.

Hi from Capetown. I have learned a lot and how to read patterns watching your channel. 28 yr old son ordered a peppermint throw. Yet to attempt pattern trial. Nagged so told him to get crotcheting. He backed down. TX for awesome channel. Keep up good work

I really like this idea. I think I'll try doing this for a lap blanket for the nursing home.

I think it would be more cohesive when you switch colors to drop the first color entirely, grab the new color, slip stitch, chain 3 to count as a dc, attach to the old color, then continue as normal

Hi, I was wondering if there's a left-handed version of this? I'm not finding one, but I'm hoping I'm just overlooking it. Thank you so much.

F.Y.I. - After 40 years of crocheting, I have found that picking up only one strand/loop of yarn, when finishing a round, or switching colors, is not very sturdy of a connection as that singular strand will be under more stress and stretch out. Whereas when instead TWO strands/loops are picked up, this issue does NOT arise, and the blanket, or whatever, will not need to be repaired for said problem later. 😊

You must turn on the auto-generated subtitles/closed captions. Then you must click onto the auto-translate option under the subtitle button in the video's settings, and choose the language you prefer. 😊
