Good job man. It's definitely rewarding finding it like that after searching hard for it!! It's like a big golden hug and a big golden kiss to tell you that you are loved back
@@walkers naw this spot was taken over by a camp and dredge then they throws garbage everywhere terrible I never went back maybe next year I’ll take a peek
I wish there were more spots in northern Oregon nearer Multnomah county. I'm a mom and need back home by 3 to get my kids. And I'm absolutely new to this.... So I've kind of just driven around & gathered some small buckets worth& dropping pins on my google maps. I have tomorrow off& I'm going to pan it.
@@Goldhunter7769 I haven't even found any. I mean I bought some of dirt for my kids and I to do. The answer is yes. I was watching your video in the dentist office this morning. I was up late watching videos. I bought some stuff that maaaaay..... Work as a sluice box.... Idk. But I'm hooked.
Thanks Damon. It was Hot gold for sure. I wanted to stay and get more but I was beat! Next time I went back somebody tore it up and trash everywhere probably moved over 5 yards. Had to walk away. I’m learning to be more careful of what I record. Lessons learned.
Hey there, thanks watching and dropping a comment. The answer is no it’s not, but only 90 minutes away near the coast, maybe you’ve heard of Powers? I’m was working the south coquille river and now I’m working the beaches for amazing GOLD! On a side note, I hiked way up like 8 miles up the Illinois when I was a kid and it was like a dream up there.
What creek is this? I live in Oregon and have gone to quartzville creek and north fork Santiam but haven't got much. Me and my dad have just started prospecting and we need some good spots to go
@@kennethgreene7124 right on! If you make it over, the gold is in the brown muddy layer of cobbles in the first 16 inches also nice pickers and even small nuggets can be found in the older crumbling bedrock.
New to gold panning and I’m finding conflicting information in using a sluce box here in oregon on wether or not you can do you know anything about that?
Basically if it’s non motorized it’s ok in most places. Unless specific river has set rules like rogue is hands and pans only. They make it confusing on purpose and even the rangers don’t fully understand the written laws on Oregon recreational mining. No motors no problems for me going over ten years
If your gonna do it right by researching, trecking, exploring spending time, money and hard work looking for good spots, YOU earned that! Don't give your honey holes away or they'll be trashed. People won't expend the effort to find the good spots for gold, but if you tell them you'll be right back at square one doing all the hard work for them instead of yourself. That's how you get burned out and broke. Also could'nt help but notice all that moss on the rock ? ? ? ? ?
“Gold is like a pretty women” haha thanks for sharing my friend

@@Goldhunter7769 , that’s sad. My buddy filmed to much of an area a few times and it got completely trashed. Hate when they do that.
Very nice! Thank you!
We live pretty close to each other. And around the same age. I like to pan. Let's get together and find some color.

Good points all around, I’ve done well with miss before too but usually it’s super fine and I only pan moss for testing new areas
Last time I checked you could get a gram of gold from apmex for 58 dollars. I'm sure that's changed, but that's a lot of work for 50 bucks or so
Yes it is. This is why everyone and there mama isn’t out digging it up!
Never do it for the money
Can't put a price tag on being outside with nature
It’s the adventure we’re looking for, gold is just a bonus.
sardine creek??
No, but I’ve heard sardine creek is a good one, I think RMPA has a claim there for sale once
Atlas 370's ftw
All I use! Learned about them from my roofing days
