Just stayed at the Four Seasons in Carlsbad and spent the day in La Jolla. We absolutely loved it! Ate at Richard Walker’s Pancake house too, would highly recommend.
i used to work in la jolla and i always suspected a lot of those businesses were fronts for laundering money...or maybe just run by children of absurdly rich people who don’t have to worry about making a ‘profit’ or actually selling things. Because so many of those businesses...there’s no way they make enough money to stay open there
as someone who’s lived here my whole life i can honestly say a lot of places go out of business real quick, but the ones locals rly fw (like girard gourmet/pannikin/harrys coffee shop for example) have been around since i was a baby
Where's the Boll Weevil? The Square Pan Pizza? Susan's Toys? The Cove Theatre? Anthony's Fish Grotto? Oh yeah, it's not 1978 anymore. Enjoyed your walk, though, even if La Jolla is too hoity-toity for its own good these days.
