Thank you for this man, I moved to SD last year and wanted to show my mom a video of this mall but without all the bullshit. You sir have earned a sub right here.

This place had a ton of character back in the '70s and '80s. The Yellow Brick Road video arcade (right above the ice rink) was magical. I saw Star Wars when it first came out at UTC. Anyone remember Farrell's Ice Cream? UTC had one of those too. The days.
Awesome - thank you for sharing. I definitely remember the I was cream parlor. Check out my San Diego playlist for more walking tours of the area. I am also uploading walking tours from a Seattle - Alaska cruise.
I remember when this place was almost new and lots of empty lots around it. Used to ditch school and grab a gyro at the food court and hang out in the arcade. Remember Spencer's Gifts?
@@norwegianblue2017 Absolutely. I'm not sure I remember the one at UTC, but the chain in general for sure. And the gyro place, yep, I usually got in line at Pup On A Stick across the way (I know, gross) but the gyro place was very popular as I remember.
I remember the Yellow Brick Road and Farrell’s. I saw Superman II (the one with Christopher Reeves) there. Grew up in University City in the mid 70s to early 80s. Great memories.
Sometimes I let this play this on the TV late at night while I just lay on the couch. It has a calming vibe. Is that song at 0:30 coming from the environment speakers or did you edit it in there? Because it's really beautiful.
Hi Walking Tours. Thanks for another great content, this time in San Diego, a city I've never been to but have dreams. Good luck and I pray for your continuous uploads!
Thank you for your continued support. I'm trying to reach 1k subscribers. Please share my channel with friends and families. I look forward to uploading new videos each week.
Welcome to my channel! I'm glad you stopped by and liked what you saw. I post new walking tour videos 3 times a week - every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. I also have around 100 videos on my channel playlists from destinations around the world.
I heard that even store employees must pay to park there. Parking used to be free. The north coast trolley extension screwed up traffic on Genessee Avenue.
I used to live about a block away from the mall. We moved out before the trolley went in. Thanks god. That area is so built up and dense now, it is unrecognizable. It already had a lot of traffic in the afternoons, can't imagine now.
La Jolla is super safe. It is a incredibly affluent area. A 2 bed condo with out parking will cost you $2000+. To rent a house you are looking at at least 4k a month up to 20k+
@@walkingtours3885 Thanks, I'm guessing you are from that neighborhood... And the recently opened UTC residential tower seems to have some good flats for rent. What do you think about that, is the nightlife good in and around here?

Fantastic job on filming. Very clear.

Shopping malls look alike in every country. But shopping is always fun. Hahaha.
True, lots of tempting things!
Walking Tours well, even better in mall of america if you are ever in minnesota
I love your walking film! Thanks for share! I subs you!

I don't think parking is free anymore. You have to get a ticket at the gate. Not sure about the employees.
Supposedly, employees are forced to pay $5/day for parking. That's ridiculous!
Only the first two hours are free.

Amazing video nice and slow. I felt as if I was at the mall too. Great job m. Tfs.
Thanks for watching
omg i love this!♡
Wow like the updates was there in . I bought an Airtouch Cellular phone from a kiosk and could make phone calls when I was in Yemen 1999.
What is the name of this mall? How do I find it?
Its called Westfield UTC. It is in La Jolla, CA.
Is the neighbourhood in and around this locality safe to live? and what is the average rent cost for a 2BR and 2 car garauge house?

Beautiful video
Thank you do much for the support!
Would you say this is the nicest mall in SD?
Between this and Mission Valley.
❤️
Landlord permit and rental tax.
14:19 wtf
There was several of them all over the mall trying to talk to you.
