Not Galadriel glug glugging a bottle of sprudel 😭 😂 i seriously love these costumes, the home-made slapdash creativity of it all is so nostalgic and really in the traditional halloween spirit
i'm currently working on a full Bilbo cosplay. I'm almost completely finished with a version of the patchwork housecoat he wore at the beginning of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey when the dwarves show up and interrupt his tea time. i've also already made some brown linen bloomers. next up is a victorian era white & blue striped linen men's shirt and a yellow satin ascot necktie. i'm pretty excited for the whole thing!
Lovely episode. And I am not at all a crafts kind of person. However, it was fascinating to watch how you made all these costumes. I think, in my life, the one machine I will wish I had bought and mastered but did not, is a sewing machine. It seems to me that I would have more luck building a transporter device to beam myself up to a nonexistent Mother Ship than mastering that mysterious device and the various stitches - even setting the thing up correctly with the thread going in the right place... no, not likely. It will have to remain as suspension bridges and 747 airplanes. I will just assume they work by magic. And hope for the best. You did a wonderful job, to the point that I wondered (when you were sitting on the window-sill reading The Hobbit in the boy-hobbit costume by the stairs) whether the Theater (major?; classes?) I believe you mentioned in another video included teaching students how to set up and develop professional-looking videos. Really well done.
I see suspenders at the thrift store all the time, usually with the men's ties and belts. You can also buy the hardware for suspenders at the fabric store in the button section. I like what you did to the white tee shirt so much, I can see wearing it with my summer skirts and shorts.
I think you needed the golden ribbon to embody the importance of Galadriel. She was the queen of Lothlorien, she is the oldest being in Middle Earth, she needs to have an air of refinement that other elves would not possess. The gold ribbon could’ve displayed that quality of her.
When i was in my churh puppet group we boght a bunch of these black hoodettes with black mesh completely covering the face, you could mostly see out but it was really really hard to see the face uner it. We used them for blacklight puppetry. The hood on its own is not big enough for a naz gull, but inside your nazgul hood instead of the stocking, it would be gold .
I think it might have worked better to put a patch of black fabric over the nose of the horse. I don't have a go-to costume, but I have made Hobbit and Nazgul costumes. With the Nazgul costume, it did not occur to me to make my face less visible.
I don’t know, maybe pale skin could work for the flesh of a Nazgûl, I mean they’re wraiths maybe a sickly pallor could give the costume a finishing touch.
Aren't you supposed to use vinegar as a mordant? Actually you do look like an elf. The slip looks like a two layer medieval gown.. the chemise and a kirtle. I would have given the dress some added length. I laughed during the Nazgul sequence of your video. I wish I could let you visit my craft room. I am sure you would create something wondrous. I always wanted to dress up as a hobbit matron and dress my husband up as a knight of Gondor. He was very tall and wide of shoulder with brown hair and blue eyes. Never did it though.

Uploading a Nazgûl cosplay-video on the anniversary of Frodo's stabbing on Weathertop? That's cold... I approve! 😄
Frodo better watch out. I have a pony on a stick and I'm not afraid to use it
Ah yes, the abandoned the first draft where Frodo got smacked with a pony on a stick instead of stabbed with a Morgul blade!
I didn't know I needed to see you galloping around dressed as a Sharpie fueled Nazgûl until it happened, thank you.
The horse sound DEFINITELY goes on too long, but I laughed so hard 😂
The amazing reviews never lie
The end of the nazgul costume part was beautiful. I was laughing so hard 😅
The button-eyed black steed is so cute.
Watching someone live their best hobbit life just brightens your day!
I really love your sense of humor Jess. The classic "pretending to be awkward/actually really awkward".

This one is a top five for me. The boy Hobbit is a good look for you!
I'm so glad I decided to watch all the videos I missed. This was such fun. Thanks!
I loved all of the costumes but I think the male Hobbit one was the cutest 😍
Making these great videos weekly is dang impressive. I can easily see this channel blowing up!
I really appreciate that!!
I love how calm the analysis and summary videos are and contrasting that with how chaotic these are
the Nazgul looks so cursed I was crying with laughter XD
I love your creativity and your willingness to engage in the spirit of fantasy. Great!
You had me cracking up with the nazgul costume. Black panty hose was hilarious
Once I saw that ring wraith I discovered how Frodo felt every time he encountered one😅

Thanks!
the Naz Ghoul scared me. You did a good job.
Watching your videos makes me smile 😘.
This video is glorious and needs more views!!!
This is the perfect video to watch with my girlfriend, because I love LOTR, and she's easy and cheap!

I LOVE your wallpaper!!!
Thanks so much! I rent, so it's just peel and stick but I'm loving it so far!
Great stuff - great guide for the hobbit costumes. Need to try and nail that myself for future costume-based partying!
It's super easy and perfect for a night of food and ale!

I'm going to a costume ball and this was really helpful!! (Nazgul!!)

Nice hobbits outfits! I like the coffee dye. But where are your hobbit feet?
This video is seriously so rad!
3:10 You left the polyester people hanging.
I find that instant coffee works well for aging paper. I wonder if it would work as well for cloth?
I think it would! I'd probably try a test sample before to be sure, but I imagine it would be very similar
So fun love it!
Enchanting.
What'd you do with your hair for the Nazgul one??
NGL I miss my stick horses so badly now
A young woman who can cook and sew and likes LoTR, where have you been all my life? 😂
I don’t know, maybe pale skin could work for the flesh of a Nazgûl, I mean they’re wraiths maybe a sickly pallor could give the costume a finishing touch.
i have coarse curly(kinky) hair i would make a good hobbit
Are you gonna go barefoot and glue hair to your feet, like a true Hobbit, or will you use sandals?
Ethereal!
Aren't you supposed to use vinegar as a mordant?

No. Blond(e) Jess was not the answer. Galadriel continues.
isn't everyday costume season? i would buy more MORE from your store if you wore costumes.
First off, your pun was stupundous. (Please tell me you got that 🤣)
And yes, the horse noise was a bit long.
Aha!! A punderful joke! (Alright that one was a cheap shot, I'll admit it)

Was this video sponsored by Macklemore? 😏
(Please pretend this reference wasn't dated)
I love watching women putting on clothes.
these ideas are so fun and genius!🤎✨
