- Bus Éireann/National Transport Authority (Roxboro, Limerick) Wright Gemini 3 Volvo B5TL VWD57 (152-D-2179) operating on Route 306 between Henry Street and Hassett's Cross on Saturday, 27th January, 2024.
As this clip was being recorded, the final commissioning of 48 electric chargers at Roxboro Depot was in full swing (reportedly) and was due to be complete for the afternoon thereby clearing the way for the arrival of the rest of the city's fleet of Wright Streetdeck Electroliners (the EWD class) and the elimination of diesel-powered buses on Bus Éireann services in the city over the next few weeks, three of the EWDs having already been at the depot for six weeks for training purposes (they were charged off an HVO generator).

Unfortunately I’ve noticed that most of the 172 L VWDs may be jinxed and here’s why.
VWD 86: Apparent accident in 2019
VWD 87: Skidded on black ice in Blarney
VWD 89: The interior stopping lights stay on
VWD 90: Accident on Model Farm Road in 2019
VWD 91: Apparently in an accident in Limerick

one more thing i forgot to say i think once the wright electroliners enter service in 3 weeks time. i think pad's could be going cork though they still have not gone to cork
Yes, I would agree. There does seem to be a bit of chopping and changing and making things up as they go along.
I am also curious as to why VWL313 and VWL324 are going to work in Navan where the Streetlites are seven years newer.
It would make some sense if there had been an explosion in passenger numbers and the WMs were unable to cope but I doubt that.
There could be a few more stock movements this weekend and it certainly looks like the 306 on weekdays is going to be double-deck operated by default.

ya more likely indeed for the 306 to be double decker since only 3 vwls left. or maybe they could leave this weekend i dont know
and they are better off put the vwds on 306 since there's 3 vwls.
