- Whether someone has or hasn’t been vaccinated for COVID-19, the measles, or even for polio, has become a controversial topic. That's not new. Resistance to vaccines is well over a century old. What is new, and what’s grabbing headlines right now, are the outbreaks of measles and other vaccine-preventable illnesses that are spreading globally. The CDC recently reported that nearly a third of all U.S. measles cases since 2020 happened in the past three months. Hesitancy around vaccines has even spilled over to pet owners, with some not vaccinating their animals against rabies. Both medical professionals and governments agree that vaccines are good for us, so why do some people remain unconvinced? Ina Pinkney, a passionate speaker who travels around the country advocating for vaccines, joins The Excerpt to discuss the anti-vax movement.

@@johnnycanread9978 not! I broke my back in 2007 and my health has declined since! I'm one of the ones that's has every shot, I've never had any side effects, no problems what so ever! Same with a friend of mine who's father was blind and wheel chair bound and 99,had all the shots and no problems! Also haven't hav COVID! And as I've stated, think about pre vaccine, all the people who were getting sick and dying, is that happening today!? NO, it's not! Why is that!? Because the vaccine works! It's also been proven, the majority of people who are still getting sick today being hospitalized and dying are those who are not vaxxed! Look it up! Think about it, it was the same thing with the flu! They created a vaccine which many today don't take that as well, but the vax turned things around! I will never understand people!!

Getting vaccinated is not evil and the materials that make up the vaccinations are not poison either. Unless the person is either allergic to the materials that make up the vaccination or is allergic to the very compound in which the materials of the vaccination are cultured (egg yolks), then adults and their kids should be vaccinated.
