Hi Brian, just acquired a Vaquita yesterday, lured by the DCC and the general great ease of use of this camera. Now discovering your channel...and the "glitches" of the Vaquita ! Do yo have any news on the EIS. I watch your interview of the CTO Peter Thiell which dates back to January 2021, didn't he then promise the EIS in the next month ? That was close to 18 months ago. What's going on ?
No news i am afraid seems it a typical case of over promise and under deliver. They are a sales driven company with little if no respect for the customer in my humble opinion. Have probably promised investors the earth so hard sell all the way. They seem to be focused on selling accessories at the moment. In the I believe the company will be sold or fail.

Besides, not only we have here the "over promise/under deliver" syndrome, but it's also purely false advertising, which could lead them to legal troubles. If the product is not fixed rapidly, company will not go very far. So disappointing...
Great review. Are you still using the Paralenz and if so which is your most trusted model since the company went out of business? I have a Vaquita 1st gen but many say it’s sub par and image quality isn’t great however I won’t be able to use it in the water till next summer. I’m considering the Vaquita 2nd gen but only if it is significantly a better improvement.
Yes am still using the Vaquita i would not buy as no firmware updates available an my does nit record dates and times correctly sorry I am late to reply
I think that the time is the number of seconds since 1/1/1970 (a significant date in computing terms). As the number increases by one every row it suggests that you're logging every second. If my theory is correct the log in the video is from 5 December 2021 at 05:05 GMT or sometime late morning for you I guess.. Keep up the good work.
I have thought about getting 1 but I am still holding off. There are still to many quirks with it. Like not being able to change batteries. My buddy has the 1st generation and he has missed taking videos it because it's kind of confusing. For now I think I will stick with my old olympus tg tracker I have had it to 130 they say 100 but it worked. And it lasts a dive on a battery and they are interchangeable & cheap
Thanks I like the TG Tracker my first YT videos were shot with one but I lost it on a dive and replaced it with a second hand GoPro. But you are right its a good piece of kit

After Having this Camera as Long As You have, The Question I have is, Did they ever resolve. The Freezing up issues and the App Issues you had Compianed About?

Yes they did, I am just testing the Vaquita 2nd Gen. First video will be op next week
