@@Dima.Demidov this is not what I meant. Dominique was a national treasure especially in Giselle, la Sylphide, Swan lake, and we lost our best romantic ballerina when she left Paris Opera. But she wanted to experiment more freedom, she was invited by Baryshnikov, etc. And then she founded a family. I personally don't like Roland Petit's Sleeping Beauty.
@@foropera I absolutely agree. And I don’t like Roland Petit’s Sleeping Beauty either. It is a pity that she left the Paris Opera before Nureyev became the artistic director of the ballet. She was an amazing romantic ballerina, you never confuse her with any other.
does anyone know if she is algerian? Khalfouni sounds algerian/arabic
Her roots are from Kabylie

Ballet National de Marseille ?
Yes. A pity she did not remain a bit more with the Paris Opera, to keep her classical repertoire in classic productions, but time was running.
@@foropera But the Paris Opera should not feel offended by her. This beautiful lady gave the world ballet such a treasure - Mathieu Ganio :)

The set and the costumes are a joke, surely.
Roland Petit's version is far from the classic version, for sure.
