Hedge full of flies and wasps today, got some yellow poppies being buzzed by a lone bumblebee. There's still some hollyhock flowers out. Some trees are coming back into bud again. The seasons have shifted, there's no doubt about that. What is alarming is just how much they've shifted. In the south of the UK last year, we barely had a winter - it was just a continuation of autumn. A very wet continuation. So, bring on the cold air - and pray we have a decent and proper winter this year.
I’ve been looking at my weather models running them through for next week and it shows a scenario where we have a snow at lower levels and deeper blue colours representing something more cooler for the midlands maybe enough for a yellow warning but a little to early to say with confidence
What else should they be called? The *southern* isles? The islands are located to the north, hence why they get referred to as such. It's like how Britain and its surrounding islands are known as the *British isles*
There's an odd yellow ball in the sky! Should I report it?
😂 I know it's been so long!
Halloween was a lovely day... then misery... it's great now! 😁☀️

There's a strange, bright, orange object in the sky today, not sure what it is, but it makes me feel happy !

This is the only thing I believe on the BBC.
OK, this is on UA-cam and the Met office don't do BBC weather ...
@stephenclark9917 exactly BBC has nothing to do with it, so it's likely true.

Beautiful day in the North or Ireland today. Dreading the incoming cold weather.
Thank you, Alex
The problem is it sort of depends if a low pressure system develops or not cause if i does the cold will be held at bay
Yeah those icelandic/uk lows that develop...
What happened to the so called, clean air? Nothing but cloud and rain in Kent!
Dull, dry and cold here in County Clare, Ireland.
And how cold will it be if the temperature drops down
Where are the snow cloud icons? ❄️

Please STOP referring to Shetland and Orkney as the so-called “Northern Isles”.
What should it be referred to as?

@@Mr4thetruth They are islands to the north and it's easy to regard them as such.
