Sex trafficking is a big problem in a lot of states. Personally however this seems to be a missed opportunity. Just from experience knowing friends that live in Montana.
A big problem up there is the murder and disappearance of native indigenous women. Something the show so far doesn't address. That has made some groups more them a little miffed at the lack of representation.
Makes since considering Montana's native populations are among the highest in the country. So you would think at least Big Sky. Would make an effort to represent some of the issues & people that live there.

@@racha7290 Considering majority of disappearances in Montana are on the reservation. It's misrepresentation regardless and shows a lack of research on this project.
The shows own producers had recently said they weren't originally aware of the issues on the reservations. Claiming they would work on being more inclusive.
As well as be in contact with tribal leaders in the future. We will see if that happens. But the show as of right now is hardly representative considering the context and people that live there. :/

I saw a longer preview of this. This movie is based on sex trafficking that’s really going on but not based on a true story. I mean parts of it could be based on a true story but they really can’t say as such because the whole movie is not based on a true story just on a perception of what’s going on with sex trafficking plus they don’t have all the true details but It’s really intense.
As a women thats been abducted and raped when young Idk if I want to see it really it will hurt my emotions too much.

I live in Montana and live a few blocks away from a MHP station. The uniforms and car decals don't match the real thing just saying.
