Dude literally no one talks about this.. hitting short steep doubles or triples at speed without having to time it and slow down then throttle hard up the face is really hard to find info on. Awesome vid, finally!
I would like to thank you for your help. You helped me in your class recently in South Carolina. I was the kid on the Suzuki 2 stroke with the mullet. After that class I went back to my local track and I recorded some footage with my gopro. I was over 5 seconds faster and later in the day after I figured how to hit a jump I never hit before I got even faster. Overall I was able to ride for longer and I felt like I was in more control of my bike. Thanks again
Honestly this is probably the best video out there for how to jump, from the hundreds of videos I have seen this one has all the information and you explain it very well, greetings from 🇵🇹
I got a Crf 125 big wheel for Christmas and before i started watching y’all I had to learn how to jump little 1 foot dirt kickers me and my freinds made in our trails in woods
Best (only) video that really explains how/why short steep jumps kick and require different technique! At 62 I'm just learning to jump. Was using the head forward, knees straight technique that all the best trainers show in their vids on a trail with multiple smaller jumps and got kicked in the rear. Found this video explaining how a jump shorter than the bike kicks and requires butt back and head low to counteract the kick. A real eye opener and the only place I've seen this clear explanation. Many thanks!
Hey Tyler, i just wanted to let you know this video helped me a lot. Ironically, the track crew at my local decided to change the layout, and 1 jump changed a lot, as the face was now short and steep exactly like you showed ( face was shorter than my bike ). I was a bit scared at first, but after taking it slow i started to get it and timed my position perfectly. Your technique worked great! Cheers m8!
Great video! Thank you for this! I wonder how to jump without gas on fast track. Is it possible to go through whole kicker without gas? Probably only at long kickers?
Awesome video like always! How long do you recommend a jump face should be to prevent that kick from happening on a big bike? Currently building a little track in the backyard and not sure if the takeoff of those jumps might be too short. You think 2 bike lengths is enough?
I was going to do the course in Mass, but I live in Ireland and don't own a dirt bike. I have been looking everywhere I can to find one to ride but I can't find anyone as I'm only 14 years old
I wish I knew this a month ago. I jumped a jump with a really short face and it kicked me into a endo and I had a pretty gnarly wreck. Ended up crushing the inside of my helmet
Just did the same 3 weeks ago in a event, bracers saved my right knee ligaments but fractured my lateral tibial condyle, 39 years old gonna take a while to recover and miss the great enduro weather, getting old sucks :P
this video has a four stroke but most new people getting into motocross generally start out on a 2 stroke unless then get a trail bike. i'd recommend a 2 stroke tho, ive moved onto a 4 stroke and think that a 2 stroke motocross bike is more suitable for beginners. just my opinion though.
@@bypcustommotorised6347 yeah now looking back it makes more sense to get a 4 stroke until you get good and can decide if you want a 2 stroke or 4 stroke
These are great! But what about jumping stuff that isn’t even a beautifully crafted jump at a track? Im assuming it’s similar. But curious for jumps and stuff you kinda run across on trails
Tyler….You’re seat hopping these in your replays brother! With your suspension under a decent load. Yet you’re not explaining it that way. Because that’s also propelling your body up and forward as well.
I love this tutorial but what would make it 100% the best on the Internet is if the camera angle was from the side of the jump where someone could actually see how far your head is positioned over the handlebars etc. etc.
So bin ich nie in 17 Jahren abgesprungen...,als ich gefahren bin.... Und auch nicht unter Ludwig der in Texas die six days dort gefahren ist... Er hat es als Invalide geschafft ich nicht in seiner Meisterschaft...😢

Any tips for big booter jumps?
I want to ask if downshifting in air is that like another way of break tapping and why do people do it
How do you hit the rev limiter in the air

I did the same years ago. Just bought a new bike and getting back into it after 2 years. Trying to find the confidence.

Put paper plates between your knees and see how long you can hold them good for practice..
What kind of gear is that?
Is that a four stroke in this video? Would you recommend a two stroke to a newbie?

@@Getman43it's harder to ride a 2 stroke fast....I'd be telling him to get a 4 st for racing ....it's were it's at now days

can i practice this steps for maxi trail? thanks
Why is your rear shock so low?
best way to learn is to jump on a small hams
❤😊

Would you mind going abroad to teach us?
Which country?
Philippines 🇵🇭
also helps to not be 6'3"
Wtf does that have to do with jumping bruh☠️☠️☠️
this music is unnecessary and making the voice listening almost impossible
😂can't hear anything because someone's playing some generic shit music in the background . Note we need to hear your voice and your engine
