Not always. My dad helped me start my business, I payed him a full time wage to be a project manager, while paying his wife $1000 a month to do the books. After three years in business he was trying to get me to borrow money from the equity in my home to keep the business going. When I refused he quit. I replaced him from the cab of my truck while working on tools. I hired an accountant for 1/3 of what my step mother was charging. Instantly turned the business profitable. 10 years strong now.

This story is like my dream lol. Hope to be fortunate enough to bless my kids like your grand father and father blessed you.
It's a true flex to have family like that. Even my father is willing to cosign my first property when I'm done doing my part. That's a flex in itself being that my parents came here with nothing, and have multiple houses and stuff of their own. (Normal jobs, but good with money management)
