- Anthonie de Haas, Head of Product Development at A. Lange & Söhne, introduces the new ZEITWERK MINUTE REPEATER. For the first time in a mechanical watch, the ZEITWERK MINUTE REPEATER combines a jumping numerals display with a decimal minute repeater. The complex striking mechanism chimes a low-pitched tone for each elapsed hour, a double tone for each elapsed ten-minute period and a high-pitched tone for each elapsed minute. This way, the time as sounded corresponds exactly to the time as displayed.

Im in love with the contrast of those high, and low pitch tones. Just another feature on this poetically layered timepiece. Brilliant!

No one is talking about how incredible the sound of the chimes are. On Par with Patek which no one else replicates not even JLC.

Wow! 😍😍😍 Purchasing this beautiful timepiece isn't comparable to buying Iced-Out-Hublot Watches or ridiculously expensive Fendi suits. This is more investing into a piece of art.
Anyone with a vast amount of money who bought a minute repeater - especially one like this beautiful piece in the video above - should know that whereas rich people or wealthy people are often reviled, or envied or in other ways decried, they would have one person in the world, me, who respects them were they to have spent their money on such a wondrous thing.

Wonderful timepiece.
That might come out as a stupid question. But if the minutes indicator is delayed because of the chimes, doesn't that mean the time reading is delayed and wrong now? Because if the minutes indicator doesn't jump one number up, it means the cog is not moving either waiting the chimes to finish.
The odds of me ever being able to afford a Lange (well, maybe a Saxonia if I save) are very long, I can always dream. Absolutely gorgeous timepiece from the absolute kings of the horological world. Patek, Vacheron Constantin, AP, Breguet all make fine, fine watches...but ALS blows them all away.
