The more I looked at it the more I started to like it. Months later I have to say this Lange is one of the top 3 watches I ever saw. Such unique, bold, yet simple and understated design. Not easy to pull off.
Zeitwerk is genius, cannot afford and probably never will…Producer Micheal, who is a lovely fella bought one.possibly his best decision

Of all the top end watch manufacturers (Patek Philippe, Vacheron-Constantin, Audemars-Piguet, Jaeger-Le Coultre) A. Lange & söhne has the most recognizable, iconic design. The classic yet fancy font combined with the "form follows function" mentality (Germans are good at this) make these watches recognizable from miles away.
Any kind of comment will only ruin the perfection of that piece of horology so I will just stare at the screen with my mouth wide open in awe of this watch and the video I just saw 😱
luckily a. lange & sohne was commissioned, over 170 years ago, to build the five-minute clock in the semper opera house in dresden. that was the first time they were able to perfect the digital complication. then, almost 160 years later, they spoil us by putting it in beautiful watches making the zeitwerk models for us to wear or and admire. the only other thing that i would have liked to see in the video is the "striking time" model.
Great video. Short, to-the-point, yet very informative. On a side note though, I think mechanical and digital are not opposites, they describe different concepts. I think it would be mechanical vs. electric (power source), and analog vs. digital (the way of displaying information).
Thank you for your explanations, especially those about the A.Lange und Söhne Zeitwerk, which even is a piece of Art, very well observed and explained by you!
I am trying to love the Zeitwerk, sometimes I love it, sometimes, I am like, hmmm? It's an acquired taste, I can see tech geeks buying this timepiece like crazy.
Almost perfect masterpiece. I couldn`t spend that huge amount of money for not perfect mechanism. I hate when the minute indicator moves a little bit (5s) before it switches.
i wish you would have shown us the "striking time" model instead. maybe you could do an upcoming video about it. thanks for all the hard work and great content.
Mine thoughts exactly. Digital watches and quartz movements are the very thing most watch aficionados despise and that includes me. But these two, Zeitwerk and the Spring Drive made me think differently. Still wouldn't consider the traditional digital or quartz watch but I like the thinking of A. Lange & Söhne and Grand Saiko
I went into this video with the opinion that this watch is a bit of a waste of a nice movement. Now i know that could not have been further from the truth. This is a beauty and the movement is incredible and much more complex compared to an ordinary watch. It's magnificent once you turn it over. This would be the watch to skeletonize!
its the ingenuity, uniqueness, boldness of design (movement as well as dial side) in this watch that perfectly encapsulates why ALS is better than any other "holy trinity member" ......... you let me know when patek makes a watch like this
The narrator sounds so different just two years ago when this video was made. More monotone back then. Very good but I think sounds much more passionate in recent videos.
It's the power reserve indicator, tells you how much power the movement has remaining. AUF means it's topped up, AB means it's running out of power so you need to wind it.
the beauty of this time piece was with the minute repeater, sadly in the zeitwerk, its missing. sorry but if i was rich, i would not buy this. instead, i would take the same Mechanics with minute repeater.
We know you want more watches…. click here: linktr.ee/watchfinder
I’ll take an ALS over PP every time.
EVERY TIME.
Debmalya Sinha ALS makes PP seem almost pedestrian
I’d take the pateks
I'll take either if offered to me. Will somebody offer them to me? Pretty please?
I'm sure Stephen Hawking would rather have had a Patek Philippe than ALS.

That's German engineering for you.
That’s German engineering for

Great....you ruined it.
Watch Geek Why are you so fucking pretentious?

My favorite watch brand.. I doubt I will ever be able to afford but I'm in utter awe of the engineering and artistry...
I dont know, this is my favourite watch ever, its so beautiful and impressive
Retail is 91k! 😲 Watchfinder has one for sale at 65k which is actually a fantastic price.
What an engineering feat.. ALS is truly a notch above everybody else..
That was amazing. Keep up the good work. Loved this format of diving deep into some of the engineering in the movement.
What a beautifully engineered watch. Incredible stuff. Wonderful video as well, you guys do such great showcases!
Truly, I would like to see the bottom better that the upper side and the bezel. A true masterpiece! Thank you for this video. Excellent work!
This watch is the number one on my list. Reminds me of the 1960 movie "The time machine".
My absolute grail!
Mine too. I've sold high-end timepieces for a long time and there's no other watch I'd rather own. I'd rather have any A. Lange & Sohne over a Patek.
well patek has much better resale value though.
Thank you for your explanations, especially those about the A.Lange und Söhne Zeitwerk, which even is a piece of Art, very well observed and explained by you!
Stumbled on your channel yesterday. I love the format. Liked & subscribed.
Wow! What a piece of engineering!! Gorgeous
Amazing watch... and TODAY no one comes close to the finishing of A lange..
MrsRandomMadeMeDoIt guessing you haven’t heard of Philippe Dufour then, of whom the folks at Lange are extremely fond.
+White Buffalo a one man show? what about him? what you want to compare?
They can't even make the screw horizontal...
@@darrylneiltanyag2487 you obviously have no idea
FP Journe does
I am trying to love the Zeitwerk, sometimes I love it, sometimes, I am like, hmmm? It's an acquired taste, I can see tech geeks buying this timepiece like crazy.
Do you own the Zeitwerk?
I guess if you’re not in the position to buy it then it shouldn’t be too much of an issue
Almost perfect masterpiece.
I couldn`t spend that huge amount of money for not perfect mechanism.
I hate when the minute indicator moves a little bit (5s) before it switches.
Have you ever heard of someone talk about watches as brilliantly as this man here ??
i wish you would have shown us the "striking time" model instead. maybe you could do an upcoming video about it. thanks for all the hard work and great content.
Absolutely spectacular watch, why Lange are number one in my eyes. 🙂
I‘m still always flashed by the beauty of Lange movements 😍
This is bets watches channel. Deserve a lot more subs!
It's quasi-dark arts, is this level of watchmaking. Sheer wizardry!
Love modern and classic combinations. This and the GS Spring Drives would be an excellent addition to the old collection
It will be the kind of watch that will make you part way with one of your kidney
I really really love the brand A. Lange & Sohne 😍😍😍
In person, this reference is beyond stunning. Tried it on at the boutique in Costa Mesa. Nice vid 🐇
Even though I will never buy one, it's good to know that it's a legend in person.

If I keep watching these videos I'm going to end up living in a caravan staring at that bloody watch!
This is the best motivation to study/work
This is my dream watch. I hope to own it someday.
Grail watch...absolutely stunning!
Best watch videos on UA-cam hands down!
A Lange und Söhne is the best watch brand in my opinnion
A review of the Sinn EZM1 would be interesting :)
Amazing watch and great review 👍👍👍
Beautiful watch! Love the mashup
This is really, really what watchmaking is all about. Wat a gorgious watch. And still looking like a tool watch. Great video!
If it had 24 hour format it would be perfect. :/
Master piece. Greatness.
By far the best watch channel for insight and information. Beats Hodinkkie hands down too...
Best watches channel in UA-cam, just amazing!
My DREAM watch, since the second I saw it.
What an incredible watch. I want it.
I like that watch a lot
Great video, although the 'until now' comment gives the impression that this is a new watch. The Zeitwerk was released 8 years ago, in 2009.
Wonderful review! Wonderful audio as well! What's the name of the song playing in the background?
one question , how do u get these super high priced watches to review ?
Who makes their dials and cases?
Is something similar these watches - mechanical digital wristwach, but at more affordable price? These are absolutelly stunning, but...
Plz make a video review on ALS chronograph ( special edition white display )
You guys are great
Thank you
Do you have the date newer version?
amazing to see how this channel grew
I'm amazed.
I feel like the slight extra depth of the first digit minute readout ruins the symmetry and look of this watch.
stunning piece.
Cool watch , cool video.
The price of a complete GS collection including few dress watches, few divers, few everyday ones, including Spring Drive Snowflake as a beater watch)
AMAZING WATCH
0:36 time goes backwards mid-sentence. The joys of editing and takes 😅
You should do the new version, the one with alarm.
Looks like something Paul Atreides might wear.
The narrator sounds so different just two years ago when this video was made. More monotone back then. Very good but I think sounds much more passionate in recent videos.
It's fookin' beautiful that!
Mechanical genius
Such a left field piece the Zeitwerk- love it.
Pls review Urwerk Geneva. 👍
Review A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph Perpetual from 2017
Z in German is pronounced "ts". Anyway, great video. Keep up the great work.
For the $100k+ MSRP of this watch, I'd rather experience German engineering with a Porsche....
Jarl Ballin' This model can be had at 45k preowned.
My guess is if you are even in the market for a $100k+ timepiece, you already have the Porsche AND Audi in the garage...
I love cars, but I'd have this and use motorcycles for transportation/recreation.
Why? A porsche is just a volkswagon built right
Why not both? ;)
Masterpiece
awesome videos, subscribed!
oh wow....
What does the upper indicator which clocks from side to side mean???
It's the power reserve indicator, tells you how much power the movement has remaining. AUF means it's topped up, AB means it's running out of power so you need to wind it.
Omg i think im in love with an object. Wow
I sometimes wonder if there's such a thing as a digital mechanical watch. Well, there we go.
and just to add that extra little "ding" to it, there is a variant with a two-tone sound...
Why does the right screw look so weird?
Looks like a good watch. How much?
Strangely, I think this would make a rather good looking pocket watch
By far My grail watch
Love your content n voice . ❤
you are perfecionist, GO ON!
My personal grail
Can you do a sinn diving watch please?
Please do a IWC Pallwebber!!
When I see this watch my heart beats fast.😍😍😍
the beauty of this time piece was with the minute repeater, sadly in the zeitwerk, its missing. sorry but if i was rich, i would not buy this. instead, i would take the same Mechanics with minute repeater.
Gorgeous
This is my grail watch!
Amazing.
Really nice watch apart from the thickness.
My favourite watch 👏👏
Incredible
wowww...love it,thanks
